Honda ADV 350 Better Than Forza 350 & Yamaha XMAX, Thailand

- Опубликовано: 1 авг 2024
- I compare my rider experience with the Honda ADV 350 against the Honda ADV 150, Honda Forza 350, and Yamaha XMAX 300. I spent a month on the ADV 350, riding on all road conditions in all types of weather. This ADV 350 is my new favorite mid-size motorbike (scooter)!
The GPS top speed of the 27.6 HP XMAX is 82mph, and the 28.8 HP ADV 350 is 81mph. The XMAX is faster on top, but the ADV gets there much quicker. From a dead stop to wide open throttle, the ADV will pull ahead by more than a few scooter lengths in no time. The low-end power is much better. The mid-range power also feels more responsive when twisting open the throttle compared to the soft acceleration of the XMAX.
I spent most of my ride time around Pattaya, with limited riding in Chonburi City, Thailand. Whether short trips, long trips, running errands, or just commuting, this motorbike is fun. Within a short block of riding, I felt at home, as if I had owned the ADV 350 in a previous life, and I was now reconnecting with my soul bike. I had the exact same experience with the ADV 150. Honda has created something special with its ADV lineup. I love everything on two wheels, but these machines are fun and much more practical than a motorcycle. The ADV 350 is a perfect blend of a scooter with motorcycle vibes.
The Yamaha XMAX was my favorite midsized scooter until I rode the ADV 350. I knew within a short ride this machine was better at everything I loved about the Yamaha XMAX. The Forza 350, in comparison, feels dated with a terribly stiff and harsh ride. The Forza 350 gets you from point A to point B, but it completely lacks the fun factor of the Yamaha XMAX and ADV 350.
I look forward to riding a new 2022 Forza 350 to see what improvements Honda has made to this popular scooter. However, as of this moment, the ADV 350 is by far a superior machine, in my opinion.
I rented the Honda ADV 350 from Mr. Deen Big Bike in Pattaya, Thailand, next to Central Mall on Beach road. He purchased it new, and I was the first person to rent it. $22/day or $504/month to rent. Mr. Deen continues to have the best selection of larger cc scooters and motorcycles that are well-maintained. As of this posting, Mr. Deen has the only ADV 350 available to rent in Pattaya as far as I could find.
Riding in the US is fun, but riding in Thailand is next-level fun. So if you're not already in Thailand, get over here and ride!

Best review I've watched so far. I especially like how you compared it to the other bike models.
Thank you. I'm glad you liked it!
Its so good to have an english moto vlog on thailand for us philippines viewer and other countries who like insights in thailand motorcycle. Keep it up.
Thank you! 🙏🏼
Thank you very much for the review. You;ve answered all my questions :)
You're welcome; I'm happy to be helpful.
Fantastic review. You hit exactly the points I need to hear with the comparison with the xmax 300 and the adv 150.
Thank you 🙏🏼
xmax ok but take adv 150 off road its great fun i go all over thailand vlogging alot of time on the bike love to go off road
whàts mog between ³00 cc vs 15⁰ cc
Best review by far.... Very detail and informative.
Thank you. 🙏🏼
Thanks for the vid review. I had a Forza on order and I just changed it to the ADV. Im a bigger rider 6'2 300lbs. I travel back and forth from the US and Thailand. So i wont get to ride the bike till Dec when i go back to Hua Hin. I love riding south of Hua HIn its so beautiful and relaxing. Thanks!
You're welcome. 🙏🏼 I like Hua Hin, peaceful. That ADV will be delightful to ride there.
Eat traditional Thai food, lose weight 😅
Pick up a ADV 350 next week. I purchased it for travelling around Thailand and into Myanmar Laos Cambodia Vietnam and China
Awesome! You're going to love it.
Should of got the xadv instead
THIS!!! my next scoot! ty for your review 🙏🙏
Good choice. Thank you for watching. 🙏🏼
Great review. I’ve got mine for a month now and I was concerned that I would miss the power of my other bikes. Turns out the ADV350 has plenty of power to cruise at 80mph at around 7000 rpm on motorway. Top speed for me was around 93mph. As you said it very easy to maneuver in town. This makes the perfect commuter scooter.
I went to Thailand a few years ago and during our time there we hired a scooter. It was ok much fun and the weather was sublime. Enjoy sir!
Thanks, Sergio! The ADV350 to me is a perfect blend of practicality and fun.
I do vloghing round Thailand live here used to have big bikes touring Europe now go further on adv 150 great around era not speed wise but take it off road on a tour brilliant
But in Thailand you not allowed to drive any kind of bikes on the motorway. It sucks
Great video. Im also an expat (UK) living in Thailand. I've had this model on order with my nearest Honda 'Big Wing' dealer near Hua Hin, since it was launched in Thailand 6 months ago but still no sign of an allocation! I believe they are more freely available vis Bangkok dealers but it's frustrating having to wait so long with no useful updates from the dealer!
Wow! I'm surprised the wait is so long. Mr. Deen Big Bike sent me a message asking my opinion about the ADV 350 and if people would rent it. "Absolutely, you should buy," was my response. Two days later, he had a new ADV 350 for me to rent. Also, when I went to dealerships, there was a red ADV 350 for sale in Pattaya. It was there for at least 2 weeks. I still haven't seen an ADV 160 on a showroom floor.
i live in khon kaen have the bikes here but still stick to my adv 150 its so much fun cross country others too heavy
go all over thailand vlogging alot of time off the beaten track always getting lost
used to have big bikes in the uk always did a big europe trip every year but must admit spent 7 hrs in the saddle of the adv 150 no problem at all very comfy and plenty of luggage space
driving down to phuket from khon kaen soon 19 hr drive think about stopping hua hin been before but in lockdown lot of places shut
is everything recovering now
Thanks! Great Review, I knew it already, but nice to hear a confirming opinion...
Thank you🙏🏼
This is by far the best scooter review channel for Thailand 💪🇹🇭🙏
Wow, thank you! 🙏🏼
GREAT review! Thanks for the top speed test. Now all I need is for it to be sold in the U.S.
Thank you! 👊🏼
Awesome review Jake Snow, I currently ride in Jomtien/Pattaya with some trips to Koh Chang on a 2018 Honda Forza 300 and I am looking to purchase another scooter. This video was very helpful.
Thank you. 🙏🏼 I'm glad it was helpful.
5 Years warranty in France, shows how confident Honda is with its product. I sold my Forza as soon as the 350 ADV arrived in France. Suspension is the deal maker.
Wow, 5 years! That's awesome. ADV 350 ride quality is a huge improvement over the Forza. The suspension is #1 reason I would but that scooter.
Great review sir. That ADV 350 looks gorgeous and powerful. Hope they bring it to Philippines. Ride safe always!
Thank you. 🙏🏼
Thank you for your review, I hope this reaches the shores of the Philippines some day.🙏😔
Thailand usually have the benefits of receiving new bikes from manufacturers, but anyway love the well detailed review and continuous comparison with other motorcycle. I'll subscribe to your channel today.
Keep it up. Being honest and the enthusiasm when doing a review.😎👌👍
By the way I'm watching from the United Kingdom but I have no plans buying one here but I love if Honda Philippines would care to bring the Honda ADV 350 to the Philippines. I'd drop everything and I'll buy one.
Thank you! 🙏🏼 I appreciate your encouraging words.
Sadly.. It appears the ADV350 will not come to the Philippines.
thanks for the review, just moved to bangkok, gonna get the 160
Thank you! 🙏🏼 You'll love the ADV 160. You might like this ADV 160 vs 350 video I just uploaded if you haven't seen it yet. ruclips.net/video/BZAJUg5XCAI/видео.html
Should hit 1,000 subs any day. Good for you.
Thanks!
Congratulations on reaching 1K!
Thank you! Only a few more to go.
Good rundown on the bike. Thanks.
You're welcome, and thank you. 🙏🏼
Excellent review, I am waiting for this bike to arrive in Malaysia.
Thank you. 🙏🏼
Thx for the video :D I will absolutely check out this guy in Pattaya next week :D
You're welcome 🙏🏼.
i used to have an tmax so im still more of a xmax commuter guy but i love the honesty and layout of this review, bravo
Thank You 🙏🏼
That was a really informative review.....so hard to find useful info these days! ....my prob is they dont sell them in Philippines untill sometime next year!
Interesting, I always thought the South East Asian countries received new models at relatively the same time.
Bom review! Por aqui, seguimos esperando chegar ao Brasil 🙂
Thank you 🙏🏼. I would love to ride in Brazil. I feel lucky the ADV 350 is in Thailand.
Excellent review! Thanks For posting!
You're welcome. 🙏🏼
Great review, but your riding reminds me of what my flight instructor said to me when I first started to fly, " There are old pilots and there are bold pilots, but there are no old, bold pilots".
Lol, that's right. That's why I ride scooters now after 20 years of riding 1000cc sport bikes. Practical, comfortable, and limited power.
Good review buddy. You've just got a new subscriber. As a newbe in Thailand I am renting a bike while I am getting settled & deciding what bike I will eventually purchase. Am glad to get some good knowledge about the ADV 350. Seems very favorable as an option I should definitely consider. I've been leaning toward the Forza 350 and now will throw the ADV into the salad bowl. ~ Thanks for a good review and will look forward to seeing what else you have out there. KUTGW!
Thank you. 🙏🏼 I hope you can rent the ADV 350 and Forza. For me, it's a night-and-day difference.
love it .. i got the low end version for now 160... 350 is my 2023 goal 🙂
The ADV 160 is a great scooter!
Perfect review. Instant Sub. 👍🏽👍🏽
Thank you very much! 🙏🏼
Great video. Pragmatic, useful and interesting. Thanks.
Thank you! 🙏🏼
That casual review instantly hooks me to watch the entire video. Great review! I live in Malaysia, and I don't know when it will be release. It's real pain in the ass when you like Honda, but Yamaha will always be the first to come out with all types and different models like the new nmax, xmax, and tmax. While Honda we only have adv150 and 160 and 750. I really need middle-range cc like this ADV350 for my daily commute on highways.
Thanks, I'm glad you liked the review!
That's a bummer you don't have the ADV350. I agree, the midsized scooters are the best for mixed use as a commuter and a comfortable highway scooter.
still adv150 alot of fun especially off road the adv 750 ok but not practical no luggage space and to big and heavy cross country
i did a vlog on my channel where i rode for over 7 hrs no problem with traffic and with all my equipement in top box
great fun
I agree about the X ADV 750. Small storage, tiring to ride in city traffic, and too heavy for enjoyable off road riding.
buy it
Recently an employee of Honda Malaysia showed the 350 at one of their store.
thank you man....nice presantation...
You're welcome, I'm glad you liked it. 🙏🏼
looking forward for the new XMAX coz that one sure is fancy.
I feel the same, the tech upgrades look very nice.
I had an X-max 300 for two years - drove 10.000km with it - incl. Touring in the Alpes. Really nice and handsome Bike. Sold it in September for a Honda ADV 350 - and being satisfied! Torque and Sound is good, higher Givi Touring windshield helped (i'm 1,89m). Light and Suspension is much better! Missing a lockable compartement in the front. Fuel consumption ist higher (+0,5L). Good review! Greetings from Germany...😃
The front locking compartment is the one thing I wish the ADV had. Touring the Alps is something I must do someday.
Thanks for the review
you're welcome 🙏🏼
Love your review and thanks for sharing your thoughts. A lot of adv 150/160 and even xmax 300 owners have been waiting for its official release here in the Philippines. Hopefully by 2023 Honda brings it here🙏. Thanks Jake for sharing your thoughts. Ridesafe mate!
Thank you! 🙏🏼 I'm sure who ever buys a new ADV 350 will be very happy.
@@JakeSnowLiveSimple It gets a bit pricey when released in PH due to taxes
@@japhdanaoofficial2205 same here in Malaysia
Great video. I'm considering a ADV350
Thanks!
Jake, overall good 👍 performance oriented information shared… 👏👏👏
Thank you! 🙏🏼
Nice review!
Thank you very much. 🙏🏽
by far the best review
Thank you. 🙏🏼
Outstanding review!
Thank you! 🙏🏼
Great review. I can also recommend Mr Deen for rentals. Great selection of bikes and won’t try to scam you.
Thank you. 🙏🏼
Were planning to retire in Hua Hin next year , you got me sold on the ADV 350. Hua Hin is a small city not much traffic and my wife will be with me when we travel . So its a perfect bike and driving down the coast even better.
I agree, it'll be perfect for Hua Hin.
That 0-70 km/h looks redoink. Love it.
ADV 350 fun factor is a 10 out of 10! 👊🏼
Thanks for the info. I have been waiting for this English comparison long time. Coming from CBR 250r, tired of changing gear and no storage unit. Have you checked the 2023 froza/xmax, which model are you comparing to. Thinking of CB650 too. Anyway great video, answered so many questions. Cheers
Thank you, Joe.🙏🏼
I used my 2021 XMax and the 2020 Forza for comparison. I hope to ride a new 2023 Forza 350. I felt that scooter had the most to improve on.
Super nice review. I'm in Brussels, Europe and I was looking for the very question. How good is it in thick traffic? I have a PCX125 and fancied getting something more 'bike', but it looks like I have to stick to the PCX125 😂
Thank you. 🙏🏼. In heavy traffic, I prefer 150 - 160cc scooters. I love the bigger 300cc+ scooters, and the ADV 350 is very easy to ride in heavy traffic. However, the small scooters are undoubtedly easier and more enjoyable to ride in big city traffic.
Great review. Well, now there is another scooter to compare this with. And thats the Peugeot XP 400. And that seems to be the next best thing to an X-ADV 750.
Thank you. 🙏🏼
I've never seen the Peugeot in Thailand. I'll have to do some traveling to find one. I'd love to experience how it compares to the ADV 350.
Peugeot has much much better suspension!!!! The biggest disadvantage of ADV is the rear suspension that is unacceptable for that price and for Honda
Luv the review, Hey Honda, please bring the ADV 350 to the U.S. Market. I'm ready to purchase one!
Thank you! I hope Honda will make it available in the US. 🙏🏼
I loved this video. I have a question about theft protection. What do you use? U locks, disc lock or chain? Thank you
Thank you. 🙏🏼 I use the built-in steering lock on scooters and motorcycles, nothing else. I've never had a motorbike stolen from me in the 25 years I've been riding. Now that I think about it, I don't personally know anyone that has had a motorbike stolen.
Good review. Have you compared it to the Piaggio BV3xx?
I USA has the ADV150, but last I checked not the 350. And Canada does not get either. I have no idea why. It's just silly to me.
Thank you and no, I haven't found a Piaggio available to ride. The ADV 350 would be a much better match up for US road ways than the ADV 150. I hope the 350 makes it over.
You've almost convinced me regarding the ADV 350, Jake. I'll keep my Aerox 155, though. Better in the city. Nick J
I agree, the Aerox is more enjoyable in heavy city traffic.
A review and comparison with the new Kymco DTX360 would be great. 🙂👌 Cheers!
I would love to get my hands on that Kymco! I never see these for rent and dealerships won't let me test ride, I asked.
Hello and thank you for your great review. I cannot decide between the ADV 350 and kymco xciting VS…any opinion appreciated🙏 thank you.
You're welcome. I haven't had the opportunity to ride the Kymco Xciting 400i yet. If I can get one, I'll make a review video.
You're so right. In thailand, the laws are there and are enforced when you're extremely abusive. In the west, it's a money machine.
The busy hectic traffic and common sense traffic laws make Thailand and other South East Asian countries a joy to ride.
@@JakeSnowLiveSimple Agreed!
You have to be trying to break the law to get busted in Thailand.
Wear your helmet! 🎉
@@Winterstick549 Thats right.
I'm not so sure about laws and enforcement.

greetings from greece to all...i just saw the video..very nice with details.beautifull scooter and yours too the yamaha..expensive for us here in greece..have you ever ride the new aprilia sr gt200 they say its preety good..keep up the good job thanks for the video
Hello, I would love to ride the Aprilia. I think I need to travel to Europe to ride some of the European scooters that I don't see in Thailand. I'm happy you liked the video 🙏🏼
@@JakeSnowLiveSimple Aprilia is available in Pattaya. the 200 is about 1.5 x the price of the ADV 160
@@aaaces01 Have you ever seen an Aprilla for rent in Pattaya?
@@JakeSnowLiveSimple No and I’m not sure I will because of their price and I suspect low demand.
They became available here less than 6 months ago.
Very informative post thanks. One question, how tall are you?
I'm 5' 11". 180.34cm
Looking great, kind of sporty in a serious way.Very charming, but restrained and gives more, than it seems. The ADV must be,nice as well.
Well said. 👌🏼
Fantastic review! Do you beleive its possible a 300km trip with average speed 100-120km/h without overheating etc ?
Thank you. 🙏🏼 Yes, the ADV will easily cruise at 120km/h for long rides in hot weather without over heating.
Nice comparison. The time you have spent on similar scooters gives you a nice base to compare. As for the look.... To me all the new bikes look like the designers had to use lego blocks as there only design tool. I am not a fan of the blocky look. I miss the sleek, smooth lines.
Thanks. 👊🏼
I think they all look pretty good, but I think most things on two wheels look good. lol
Riding in “chonburi city” Those who know, know my bro.😂 Enjoyed the vid. And greetings from a Jersey kid who lives in Hua Hin.
Great review, nice bike 💕but here in the Philippines you can’t ride it in a freeway if you’re bike is below 400cc I like ADV but I choose to buy a higher cc . new subscriber here.👍
Thank you! 🙏🏼 That's unfortunate you can't ride the 300cc scooters on the freeway in the Philippines, I'm surprised it's not allowed. I ride my XMAX on the interstates in the US, 80mph.
I drove a car in Angeles and Manila a few years ago. A scooter is so much more enjoyable in that heavy traffic.
búy hknda gull wíng 1800 cc 100 mph plús
I used to have a Burgman 400. For a short while. I assure you, I have never been buttfked but the vibration of a single-cylinder bike is probably what it feels like. I really really want something like this here but no thumpers for me.
😂 I've never felt that experience riding single cylinder motorcycles or scooters, but I've never rode a Burgman 400.
I agree with your assessment that a lighter bike is better in the city. I have been driving an ADV 150 for a year in Chiang Rai and appreciate the maneuverability and tbh I really don’t want to drive fast in Thailand. The ADV 150 is quick enough at slow speeds.
I love the ADV 150. It's the best small cc scooter in my opinion.
@@JakeSnowLiveSimple thanks to indonesia, because honda indonesia designed it based on road conditions in indonesia. because even in Indonesia adv150 is the best small cc scooter at the moment. especially the ADV160 version, because in our opinion the ADV 150 still has a lack of performance, the ADV160 has become perfect because of the many consumer complaints about the power of 150 version.
Thank you for sharing the info. I look forward to riding the ADV 160.
@@ereinaldy20 That 10cc is even noticable ?
@@ekimandersom4478 It will be due to the CVT set up. The configured the 150 for more off-road riding than the PCX so it is intestinally slower but applies the torque earlier at lower speeds. But people don't go off road a lot so they must have put a more conventional set-up for the bike and it will be quicker from rest.
Interesting that you love the suspension, many other reviewers consider it too stiff
I weigh 185 lbs (84 kg), it feels perfect for me. Gig only weighs 110 lbs (50 kg) and didn't mention it feeling too stiff when she rode it solo. Although she's not a fussy rider, all the big CC scooters probably feel the same to her.
Hello boss ji 🙏.this is very nice maxi scooter.indian people is waiting this Honda adv😊
Good scooter for India. 👌🏼
I've had a few scooters, but they all had poor suspension. I'm glad Honda addressed this issue.
I felt the same about most scooters I've ridden. The brakes on many scooters are also subpar. It's especially noticeable going from a motorcycle to a scooter.
@@JakeSnowLiveSimple
Most scooters I've owned have had disc all round (yamaha yp250 majesty x3, Sym sr125 x2, kymco agility city 125 x2) and the brakes were great, the disc/drum scoots weren't so great (piggio hexagon 180, piaggio zip 125).
I just bought the 160 and it’s a fantastic machine, much better than the 150 I had before …more power and acceleration which I needed here in the Philippines
The 350 hasn’t been here and I think it won’t because of the price
Great review and enjoy the ride
Especially in Pattaya 😜
Been there enough to know there’s nothing like Pattaya.
I love the ADV 150, so I'm very happy to hear the 160 is even better! I'm considering buying a 160 so my Thai wife can also ride it. She's too short to safely ride the bigger scooters.
@@JakeSnowLiveSimple it’s a bit lower for the Asian market so I’m sure she will also benefit from it.

ADV350 and 750 is available on Honda Big Bike Makati
@@apollothemanboy Really how does it cost?
Great review, I ride Xmax300 in Bangkok and I wonder where you've found such offroad in Thailand? Saw ADV350 on the road, looks cooler then Xmax. Also better rear suspension makes sence on a shitty roads. Thinking of going for ADV as a next bike.
I love my XMAX but for riding in South East Asia the ADV 350 is better. I encounter dirt roads or partially paved roads often around Pattaya and Si Racha.
You need to review the kymco dtx 360 also
I will as soon as I can find one.
I live in Saigon and no one drives these big scooters that are common in Thailand. They're not so practical as a city bike for Saigon or Bangkok. I drive a Vario which seems very similar to the new Click models I rent in Phuket and Palawan. For longer rides I thought the PCX felt more stable but I hardly ride for more than 40 mins anyway. I used an old Honda Blade for a few hundred km in Ha Giang! They're a good work horse for the hills and twisties I'm not afraid to get scratched up.
I rented a 110cc Honda Vision in Saigon a few months ago. My wife had a Honda Wave in Thailand, which I think is the Blade in Vietnam.
I was happy riding the Vision in Saigon traffic. I forgot how crazy busy those streets are during rush hour traffic.
I just bought a ktm 390 adventure but I live in the states. I absolutely love this presentation on the adv350, which is exactly what I would buy when I move to Thailand. Top notch 👍
You'll love the ADV, I'm sure!
You can get the KTM here in Thailand
Great Video. I have a Burgman 400 in the US but I would sell it in a heartbeat for the ADV350.
Thank you 🙏🏼. How is the power of your Burgman? I looked at that 400 before I decided on the XMax 300. I liked the Yamaha design better.
@@JakeSnowLiveSimple what do you think betwen this and xmax 300 ? What is better and more comfortable
Between the Burgman 400 and the XMax? Is that what you're asking?
@@JakeSnowLiveSimple sorry,adv 350 vs xmax 300
They are both very comfortable. Living in Thailand I would choose the ADV 350. I love my XMax but the ADV 350 does almost everything better. I like the small storage compartments up front better on the Yamaha and the wind screen is better for riding in cold temperatures. However, riding in hot South East Asia I have to pick the ADV 350 over the XMax.
I’ve been riding scooters for a dozen or more years now .. scooters have really turned me away from motorcycles in general .. mainly from the ease of use and trunk space .. my 1st large scooter was the Suzuki Burgman 400 .. the main thing that I’ve found is that I wish they would put an extra cylinder for easier riding at higher speeds ..
But in the Philippines to be able to ride on the toll roads a 400cc or larger is required .. so to me the perfect scooter would be a Honda ADV 400cc 2cylinder single overhead cam .. I really like the look of the ADV reminds me of the BMW scooters but with better trunk space .. take care 👍🏽🤙🏽
I feel the same about scooters. Ease of use and storage space. I enjoy motorcycles, but I love these scooters. I'm surprised the Kymco AK550 is not sold in the Philippines. I'm also surprised I don't see it in Thailand.
Yamaha TMAX 560 then
@@dariomladenovski7047 I did see the TMAX in Thailand. I need to rent that, I'm curious how it compares to the X ADV 750.
Even my ADV 150 is plenty for Thailand, but I sure hope they send this 350 to the USA.
I feel the same.
@@JakeSnowLiveSimple
I LOVE the Captain America optional look on the ADV160.
Wish it was offered in the USA.
That is a beast of a scooter
Honda's ADV scooter line up is now complete. They sure are fun!
Very nice, what is your opinion compare it with the Bmw c400gt?
I think the C400GT is a nice looking scooter, and I would love to ride it. It's challenging to find one to ride. I'm very curious how it compares to the less expensive ADV 350. I'll make a review video if I can get one for a week.
The best looking scooter by far is the 2023 Yamaha BWS 125 in Black, was thinking about the Xmax 300 till I seen the BWS 125 I have a Honda CB 500X for the highway, so the BWS 125 will do for the back roads and around towns and villages, and dirt roads. Just one look at the black one and it won my heart. With the flat floor it will be great for things like getting my gas containers filled up for my garden tractors and tiller, easy put a 25 liter one between my feet. It is lacking some on storage, but again I have the CB500X with GIVI treker 33/64 liter side case and top box. The more I look at the Black BWS 125, the more I like it. Do not think any other scooter comes close for looks and 2.3 liters per 100 km is nice as well (101 mpg) Though I was doing good getting 3.2 liters per hundred on the CB500X.
I agree, the BWS 125 is a cool looking scooter. I haven't had the opportunity to ride one yet. Perfect set up owning both motorbikes.
Been trying to find one of these for rent but the scene here in Cr pretty weak for rentals. Have to buy it next year. Am split between Forza and this and most reviews are in Thai language. Glad I got recommended to this
I hope you get a chance to rent the two scooters you're interested in before you buy. It's a unique situation over here in Thailand, being able to rent these. I would be so lucky to have that opportunity in the US. Pattaya is the best place I've seen to rent such a wide variety of motorbikes, I feel lucky.
@@JakeSnowLiveSimple so near (in Thailand) yet so far..over a 1000km away. Recently did a 400km one way trip on my 125cc 2 up, will never travel again on it. Someday if my missus allow me to go Pattaya I would definitely rent before I buy
Wow, that's a long trip on a 125cc, and riding 2 up! The Forza or the ADV 350 would be a huge upgrade. Long trips are very enjoyable on 300cc +.
Hello from Nakorn Patthon . This is a very good job in Thailand. Test Moto. This is my next thanks for the review. Only adv 150 it's not the best for city. Click are more light with same engine and cheaper 555
I agree; I rented a 2023 Click 160 and a 2023 ADV 160 for 3 weeks. The Click 160 is a zippy little machine. It's the best scooter for lane splitting and filtering through heavy dense traffic. I like the suspension, brakes, and storage space much better on the ADV 160, but the faster click is a great scooter and very fun to ride.
Hey Jake great review. When might you recommend the Forza 350 or XMax 300 over the ADV? I’m really trying to compare between the ADV and Forza but do like the XMax too. Just trying to make a buy decision on a 2023. Storage and ride are most important to me.
Thank you. 🙏🏼
Storage is very close to the same size on all three. Ride quality is the #1 thing I love about the ADV 350. That alone puts it well above the other two in Thailand on these rough roads. The XMAX ride is very good but is limited by less rear suspension travel than the ADV. The Forza suspension felt fine to me until I rode an XMAX. The XMAX's better ride quality and handling make it much more fun to ride over the Forza. I have yet to find a 2023 Forza to ride. I'm very curious if Honda made much-needed improvements to the ride.
When I'm in the US, I'm very happy with my XMAX riding on much better roads, cooler temperatures, and traveling at faster highway/interstate speeds. The XMAX is sluggish on the bottom when compared to the torquey ADV and Forza but has a higher top speed. I also like the front storage compartments better on the XMAX.
Another note; the Forza and XMAX ride is terrible on dirt roads. They feel and sound like they are going to fall apart. The ADV makes any type of road and road condition fun. It's as if Honda built the ADV150/160 and 350 scooters for South East Asia.
I would choose an XMAX or Forza over the ADV if I was riding in cooler to cold climates since both of them provide more wind protection than the ADV. The Forza has the best mirror visibility; I like how they are mounted far forward on the body vs. being mounted to the handlebars. The XMAX has the best front storage compartments with one locking. Night riding on back roads is best on the ADV and Forza. XMAX bright beams are worthless. Maybe Yamaha fixed that with the 2023 model.
It's tough for me to make a good argument for the XMAX and Forza after riding the ADV 350 here in Thailand. All 3 are very nice scooters. Whichever one you get, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
@@JakeSnowLiveSimple wow thanks so much, when you're in BKK next would love to buy you a coffee! Im def leaning more towards ADV/Forza than XMax if I go new, mainly due to styling and Honda build quality. ADV does sound like the winner when it comes to ride quality and great to hear that storage is the same. If you have any recommendations on Honda dealers in the BKK area please let me know. Hoping to take advantage of any auto show promo if I go new soon.
@@thatguy-555 I'm only familiar with Pattaya dealerships; I have not spent much time in BKK. Coffee sounds good. 👊🏼
@@JakeSnowLiveSimple sounds good. Huge order backlog here in BKK, Im being told 4-5 months for either a Forza or ADV 350! Insane. Yes, coffee when you're around, or I'll try to ping you when out your way.
can’t wait to own one and explore thailand 😎
Great scooter for exploring.
It’s a 330cc not 350cc, the under seat storage is 48L Xmax is 45L, not a lot of difference, it’s a nice alternative to the Xmax and a better upright riding position IMO
Yeah I know, my mouth sometimes moves faster than my mind. The specs at the beginning of the video show the 330cc.
What about kymco 300cc scoot category? It's all good than xmax 300, it's way cheaper and it has almost the same engine and features. What are your thoughts about it?
I actually considered buying a Kymco AK 550 in the US but there are not many places to get it serviced like there is for Honda, Yamaha, and Suzuki. I also never see the Kymco in Thailand. I would like to ride a Kymco 300 in Thailand if I can find one. I just don't know the Kymco brand well.
For the adv 450, would you feel comfy in the mountains by Pai to Mae Sai going downhill?
I would feel comfortable taking the ADV 350 on any steep and winding mountain road. Excellent brakes with a torquey engine at low RPM make for a very fun and safe ride.
Nice video thqilqnd for the win
Thank you! 🙏🏼
Would kill for one in the states. Unfortunately it would outsell their 300cc motorcycles so we’ll never get ‘em
You're probably correct.
It would be nice if Honda imported the ADV350 to the USA but I’d be happy with an ADV160 in charcoal or the ADV250.
I'd like to see this ADV 350 in the US.
Jake. Have you tried the BMW C 400x or 400 GT? I’m cross shopping these two bikes and curious on your thoughts. Thanks
I haven't ridden the BMWs yet. I've been looking for one to ride.
@@JakeSnowLiveSimple hopefully you will get to ride one and compare. Thanks for replying
@@brianakers7096 You're welcome, and thank you for the question. It keeps me motivated to search for more scooters to ride.
"hello sir, you want bike"
"yaa, i want explore"
" we have forza 350,tmax 560,adv350?which one sir"
"naaa, I STILL WANT XADV750" 🔥
I'll need a TMAX when I get back to Thailand. I want to compare it to my XMAX and the X ADV 750.
Have you considered against the bmw c400? What would you go for?
I like the BMW C400 GT. It's a very refined and great-looking scooter. Unfortunately, I have been unable to find one to ride for a week or more to compare it to other scooters I've spent time with. I see the BMW is here in Thailand. I'm still looking for one to ride. The price for a new 400GT is about double the ADV 350 sale price. The Japanese motorbikes are less expensive to buy and own than BMW motorbikes.
Man, do we need that in India or what. That is such a sweet vehicle. These maxi scooters are fun and practical. But we know Honda wont pull the trigger.
I wish we had these in the US also.
I think the Display for the Digital Display could be bigger as many are saying the same for the new model of the 2023 model its small and in the sunlight hard to see.
Bigger would be nice. I've never experienced a problem reading the display.
great vid, what would u take if u just travel in normal streets 60% highway 35% offroad 5%? im need to choose between xmax 300, forza 350 and 350adv
Thank you! Will you be riding in cool weather, four season climate?
@@JakeSnowLiveSimple yes i live in austria most of the time, cold, spring, summer, autumn, winter
@@JakeSnowLiveSimple lol i also got vespa gts in my opinions and honda sh350i
The XMAX is the best option, then, with its much better wind protection over the ADV350. I ride my XMAX comfortably in cold weather. Also, the ride quality is very good on city streets and highways. I never get butt fatigue on my XMAX. That's my experience riding in the US. You're trading ADV350 all-terrain suspension for XMAX cool/cold weather comfort.
The Forza blocks a lot of wind also, but it creates too much negative air space between the rider and the windscreen, creating an extremely annoying vacuum effect sucking clothing and rider forward at highway speeds. The power windscreen, which seems awesome at first, vibrates at highway speeds, which is also annoying. The XMAX also has better ride quality than the Forza, which is especially noticeable on bumpy city streets.
The Forza and ADV350 have better acceleration from a dead stop than the XMAX, and the Forza's fixed mirrors mounted on the front fairing provide the best visibility of any scooter I've been on.
What about NMax 155 to me it’s way better then adv 150 and yes I own both of these and my NMax v2 is better city scooter because of how comfortable it is and over all performance is better, when I go out of the city I use adv because it handles better on off roads but that all it’s.
May I know your opinion on that please?
I like the NMax, but for me, it competes with the PCX. I like the engine/drive train. It feels faster than the ADV from a dead stop. The power-to-weight ratio feels better on the NMAX and on the Aerox. I'm curious to see if the new ADV 160 caught up to the Yamaha 155 cc scooter performance. I personally fit better on the ADV and I like the ADV ride much more than the other mentioned scooters. The younger me would have put performance over ride quality.
Hope we had it in indonesia, but guess not because of cc limitation. Maybe we'll got the 250 version cause we don't have the 350 base engine. The tax will rocket high when it had to sold in honda big wing dealer.
That's unfortunate you don't have it there.
Do you get back pain while riding the Xmax 300. I was looking to buy here in Canada. 67 years old. What do you think?
I never get back pain from riding my XMAX. I've spent 13 hours riding down the Interstate over a 2 day trip with no problems. It was very comfortable.
ive been waiting this bike here in ph
I'm surprised it's not there yet.
