Excellent review of your new bike. I've subscribed. I really like these, was considering the new x-adv but at £11k they're too much money. For almost half you get one of these. Seems like a bargain!

That's a very good question. They're both really good bike's and around the same price point. It's down to whether you want to change gear or have auto ?
The NX well undoubtedly be better equipped for a bit of off-roading
Either bike is a good choice 👌

Oh my god I love these country rides with no music. These videos are great man!! Your little starting problem also bit me on my old Reflex when I first bought it. Honda has used that same brake lever switch for years. Learning curves can be a pain sometimes. Later man, gotta go for a scooter ride!!😁

I had a similar time with not starting on my sh300i. Felt so wrong initially to swing on the brake lever to that extent. Never had a problem again. Undoing seat lock to fuel up was another issue. Had me tearing my hair out until the penny dropped that the manufactures instructions aren't exactly correct. Great little thing though after a lifetime of motorcycles.

I had starting issues in 2020, 2021 and 2022 on 3 new scooters. I reported them to honda. Nothing has been done, you just have to change the key battery every month and carry a spare battery or you could be stranded. I wish they had key start backup. The key symbol flashes when it fails to read, very dangerous to switch of at traffic lights because they don't always start again.

Had mine since jan. Brilliant. Sold tracer 700. Don't miss gears. Cvt is instant. Can be ridden with gusto, great handling, fast enough. I cut the screen down and adds a horizontal wind deflector to cure buffeting, but I'm like that with every bike with a screen. Also use seat pad for extra height and comfort. The rear brake lever has 2 microswitches in it, the first clock is the brake light and the second is the one that allows it to start. Pull slowly and listen carefully and you'll hear the 2 clicks.

I have the Forza 350 which I’m thinking of trading in next year for the ADV 350 (I’ve just bought the new 500X as well).
I too had an issue with the keyfob. But, after swapping the battery, switching the keyfob on and off, then trying my spare fob, I found out it was my 24 hour heart monitor interfering with it! The monitor was on my trouser belt like a pager, and the fob was in my jacket pocket next to it. Maybe your phone could be a possibility if it happens again.

I have the ADV and tested it back to back with the forza 350. The difference between the way they ride is staggeringly different and the ADV is far superior in handlings and riding experience. I upgraded the screen to a puig touring screen which is 80mm taller fully extended and the wind protection is excellent. I would say that the electric screen is the only positive with the forza over ADV but with this touring screen again it is a far superior ride.

I'm glad it was not just me who had the starting issue, my first ride over 3 months ago was in heavy rain so i gave the bike a good jet wash and then could not start it! I dried the side stand switch and removed / checked all the fuses as per the user manual - nothing bike still dead, then in frustration i really grabbed the brake lever and hey presto the bike started. I mentioned this to the dealership and they confirmed that this is normal. Oh well, live and learn. What a great bike this is, hope you have many happy miles on yours. Oh by the way i have just had a 2 up fully loaded (inc top box) holiday and tried 99RON super unleaded, my initial thoughts are that the MPG and performance are better, might be worth experimenting if you have not already. Hi, liked the review, but can’t help noticing that you seem to be a bit hard on a new engine that needs to run in a bit to free-up and develop its full potential. Coming from a very long history of motor biking, I have a new Forza 350, bought as a stop gap while waiting for my order of an ADV 350 to arrive. Despite being led to believe that the glove box is not lockable by other reviews and the dealer, I found that it does lock when you lock the steering - not a lot of people know that. I wonder if the ADV is the same ? Please try it and let me know. I drilled the side of the glove box and led a power lead from the USBc socket to the satnav on the bars. Loving the Forza (except the crashy suspension), and am looking forward to the ADV arriving. Cheers 👍

      @Crohniebiker  2 года назад +2

Thanks for watching my glovebox doesn't lock on this model unfortunately,, I have also wondered about the " running in " period and after lots of research I'm of the opinion that engine's these days are built with such accuracy and quality materials that it's not really necessary .in fact I've watched a video disproving it where they take two brand new engine's ,one is run in to spec and the othe is thrashed from new and after 1000 miles they rear down and inspect them side by side and find no difference. But having said that I do intend to do oil and filter every 4k instead of hondas 8k 👍

I would say yes definitely, but bear in mind that it's a 350 not a superbike. However you can easily get away from the lights faster than the average car and it will happily sit at 70 80 mph.
I once had 95mph displayed on my dash.

Wondering how much it is in UK, the presentation upcoming in August in Taiwan, people said the price of ADV 350 might be over 300000 TWD(about 8200.31 £ )...

@TheDervMan I'm sure I've seen a video from someone comparing the 350 to the 750 and he said the 350 was nearly almost as fast but a lot more nimble so he concluded that the 350 was the better and much cheaper option, 👍

    Hi there,
    Really enjoyed your video.
I have the 350 Forza, bought it in July last year (2021) - same excellent engine and power output etc.
The only differences are the suspension and the screen.
The ADV has better suspension (usd forks and shoa rear schlocks), proper bars and looks more ‘motorcycle’ (which I like).
However, the Forza has an electrically adjustable screen which I have found invaluable.
When at motorway speeds and especially in the winter - I fully extend the screen and it keeps the winter elements at bay surprisingly well.
My main bike is a BMW R1200R roadster, but like you I use the scooter for commuting all year round.
I really don’t know why I didn’t buy a scooter sooner - I can’t over emphasise how impressed I am with the Forza.
When it comes to upgrading- I’m very tempted to go for the ADV, but I’m worried I’ll loose the winter weather protection from the screen.
Let me know how you get on over the winter with yours.
    Ride safe!

Thanks for watching, yes I'm wondering how it will fare come winter time ,my burgman 400 had excellent weather protection and I don't think this ADV will match that but it makes up for it in styling 🛵👌
