Watched Quasi's video yesterday and bought one today!! I have a Honda grom that I put a small fortune of money into but it just cant cruise at 60mph worth a crap. You have to strangle every bit of the Grom to go anywhere. I love how the modded out Grom rips but I really need something that can cruise so I added a ADV 150. After easily getting to and maintaining speed into a 26 degree 17mph headwind with no problems whatsoever, I am confident that I made the right choice. It rides like a small Goldwing!
I have a Monkey with a lot of mods and share your experience with having to use wide open throttle to maintain 55-60. Wind is really hard and the ride is quite bumpy at those speeds. Have you been happy with the ADV? Is it smoother riding and can you maintain speed even with headwinds? Does it get pushed around a lot in wind? I was thinking about going with something bigger like a Honda CB300 or CB500X, but maybe this would be all I need.
