In my country, cost about 3150 USD SRP. A dream scooter. our roads are on the "Rough" and a bit of dirts and stones so.. This is a perfect motorcycle in my opinion
In the U.S. the PCX is only around $350 less than the ADV. Unfortunately dealerships ridiculously mark up the price on the ADV, making the PCX the better choice. The PCX also comes with a back rack, which is optional for the ADV.
I'm here in Thailand the ADV160 is a pretty big seller here for 30% less. I'm 185lbs. but chose the smaller Qbix125 because smaller is better here in Thailand; much more maneuverable, easier to drive through traffic, easier to park, etc.
I paid $5k for my Duke 390. Top speed on the Duke is in the 90s. It's highway legal, and looks a lot cooler. This is an interesting scoot, but I think Honda priced it too high to be competitive.
It's not really a worldwide model. Given that it isn't and won't be for sale in the EU. The closest comparable model we get over here is the Forza 125, which has the same power as the ADV150, but from a 125cc (due to EU A1 license restrictions) SOHC 4V single cylinder engine. So at a 149cc this would be an A2 scooter and it'd have to compete with much more powerful 300 and 400cc scooters. It also makes me wonder if they don't sell the 149cc 2V engine here because it won't pass Euro5 regulations. Honda does sell a 156cc scooter here, but that does come with a 4valve enigine, rather than a 2valve. Also they're only sold with front and rear disc brakes and 2 channel ABS, which I suppose is in no small part due to the fact that new bikes can only be sold with 2 channel ABS here. What did surprise me is that you stated a 77MPG fuel economy, which converts to about 3.0l/100km, compared to the 2.1l/100km Honda specifies for the Forza 125. Which converts to 112MPG. Though according to SpritMonitor, Honda is slighly optimistic and in reality the Forza 125 sips 2.4l/100km, but that's still a solid 98MPG. For comparison the average 50cc moped scooter gets about 1.5l/100km.

I bought Honda Air Blade 150cc recently and everything is fantastic but the only let down is the not-too-smart key, I wanted the mechanical one bc I know how bad the smartkey can be, I don't want to forget to turn the FOB off and let the battery drain but too bad Honda only provide smartkey nowaday. Beside the key, Honda Scooters are my favorites, they are well designed, well made and long lasting. I used to have Honda Lead 110cc ( called Elite in the US if my memory's serving me right ) and I have had it for over 10yrs, she still running good, even I didn't give her proper care cuz I was dumb. Props to Honda.
Iam hearing rumors from utube influencer who is saying honda reach out to him to try out a new scooter but he couldn't talk about specific details because he signed confidentiality agreement, but iam almost sure it's the adv 350 or at least Iam hoping it is
I hope these sell well so that I can pick up a lightly used one in a few years for $2,500. $4,200 is way too much money for a 150 scooter. Seems like a nice little machine though.
thank you for the video,,, i'm about to buy one so i check our honda dealership website and i found 2021 and 2022 both same price so are there any difference? thank you
$4400 for a 150cc engine is pretty insane. The press release ride explains why they didn't have the ADV 750X to ride. I'm not sure who would buy this in America, maybe if it had a 300 or 500cc engine I could see a point.
Same! I cannot believe it made it to the USA. Will the aftermarket bore up kits even reach the US? 150cc is not suitable for the USA. Maybe if it was a high comp 250cc with 4 valves long stroke, that would be really great!
i just dont see the point of smart keys. The traditional ingnition key slot is actually an excellent place to keep your key while riding. That little storage where he put the key doesnt really look safe he had to hit the door twice to try and keep it closed, i'd be nervous it would open up and the key fall out.
The seat looks like an afterthought compared to the style of the bike. Flatter, wider front seat, and maybe a tad lower. Elongate and widen the passenger seat. The front of the seat angles up and comes to a point. The rear seat looks very thin when you opened it at the end.
Lead rider? Bummer! I was looking forward to seeing Mr. Waheed hoon a scoot scoot! I agree 100% with you about key fobs for motorcycles. It’s pointless and just one more thing to fail.
I liked the styling but I really want the "big ruckus". I thought its minimalist styling was awesome. Plus it had a bigger engine. But I might be the only one that liked its looks.
Do you suppose you will do an actual MC Commute episode where you take it to the office from home? Or does the freeway ban preempt that? Seems like PCH north to Crown Valley Parkway to Moulton Parkway would keep you off of I-5. Where do you start from? That looks like Dana Point harbor in the background. (left Cali about 35 years ago, can you tell?)
Nice scoot, but the lack of dual sport tires available for the adv 150 kills it for me. Honda could have followed the Yamaha Zuma 125s tire size and been on top for sure. Hopefully no one gets a flat tire on that adv because all the off-road fun will be over in a hurry trying to find a replacement tire. It's a glorified pcx as soon as the tires wear away. Ride safe!
I thought in 2019 there was an assembly bill “AB 1810” section “6” that would remove the requirement to have a M1 license and can have any class of license such as a class c?
The PCX now has gotten a 10cc larger engine, and a 4 valve head, giving it 3-4 more hp, I believe. I guess there will be a 160cc 4-valve engine in the ADV quite soon. 13hp vs. 17hp is a big difference.. Don't buy now, wait for the new, stronger motor.
We have the 300cc segment from yamaha and Honda in Europe. In rome and Paris these things are everywhere and plenty of people do Europe wide tours on them.
4400$ thats quite expensive for a 150cc bike , but i guess thats fair because i think the bikes imported in southeast asian countries where they manufacture that bike , . i own a adv150 myself bought it for 149k php , thats around 2980$. awesome bike 👍
ADV 150 is produced from indonesia for global production same as like the PCX 150, but the ADV 250/300 is under development maybe produced in thailand because the base production of scooter 250cc/300cc in thailand

My information is the 300 is making it here also and if they do well the scuttlebutt says the full sized X ADV could follow. That’s the one I’ll wait for.
Ya we only had its cousin the PCX150, I had two of them, they were awesome, the power was absolutely linear. But the cheap rear springs and shocks, and narrow tires hurt my back after 5 hours of doing food delivery per day. When the ADV150 came up, I jumped for joy, because it addresses exactly what I complained about. Sadly, one would need to go the USA to get one. I may just do that...
When is the X-ADV gonna be available? At 150cc I don’t think Honda wants sell many of these in duh States? I would however run, jump, and leap for a 400 cc version or the XADV’s luscious 700cc twin!
Honda state that the storage will take 2 full faced helmets. But I read a review where the reviewer suggested he put only one helmet in and couldn't close the seat properly.
*Honda does not intend the 'ADV' to be anything other than 'what it is' of itself, NOT compared to other machines* ( *Honda introduced the 'Cub' to America in late '58-'59 era and sales 'took-off like a rocket' once people rode one and saw how inexpensive and reliable they were* ) _________ *You're missing the point by calling the 'ADV' an 'Introductory machine' because it isn't* *It's been deliberately designed to function in urban and 'off-road' environments with equal ability* *What more can be asked for that price?* ( *70+mph is 'blazing fast' for a 150cc engine!* )
@@hughneek12 you know this ? There are plenty of 300/600 cc scooters in the UK. The 750cc version didn't, I was hoping that one would come here. Anyone that wants a 150cc, this is a good bike.
And I'm still in the waiting list here in the Philippines.....
@@rin_n0r1zz Its already available but the demand is very high...
Thats 3000 dollars in the Philippines. You can even make it more beautiful with all the accessories in the market
My daily motorcycle, great handling and save fuel a lot
Excellent commentary. Well organized, perfect pacing, actually informative and relaxing to watch. Great knowledge shared in the video. Thank you so much!!
Come on Yamaha now that Honda has released a rugged looking Click in USA, go ahead and give us your Aerox!
Yes please! Yamaha 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 bring Aerox 155 S to the USA!
In my country, cost about 3150 USD SRP. A dream scooter. our roads are on the "Rough" and a bit of dirts and stones so.. This is a perfect motorcycle in my opinion
$4400 and Honda couldn’t put a disk brake on the rear?
I threw a set of Grip Puppies on mine, left it covering end weight - works as cruise control!
Im 6'4" tall and had a 50cc taotao. I sat as far back on the seat and used the rear foot pegs.
I think back to my TaoTao I had no idea how I survived commuting on that thing.
Everybody at Honda and their grandmothers know that nobody is taking this scooter off-road. Full points for style though
The 750cc version of this Honda is a beast!
But it’s overpriced tho. The NC750X DCT is so much cheaper and is basically as practical as the X-ADV.
In the U.S. the PCX is only around $350 less than the ADV.
I have the honda. It was finding a Duke that's the problem.
What a shame the way Europe is infringing and enslaving it's people,
Step 1 was definitely you all giving up your arms, the leaders of the so called democracies are definitely absolutely corrupt and drunk on the power we give them to much of
I bought Honda Air Blade 150cc recently and everything is fantastic but the only let down is the not-too-smart key, I wanted the mechanical one bc I know how bad the smartkey can be, I don't want to forget to turn the FOB off and let the battery drain but too bad Honda only provide smartkey nowaday.
How I remember dragging my knees in slow motion on small bikes......and thinking how much fun I was having!
You always do a great job on reviews 👍
This might be the test run to see if there is interest in the ADV series for US market. Hopefully it will spark interest to bring in the ADV 750
Price here in the Philippines is P149,000 around $3,057.
Yeah, same in Thailand but the Indonesian guy above is claiming $2,000 in Indonesia which is BS.
Should I buy one? I don't know if I should buy one? Please tell me???
I'm curious to compare the acceleration & top speed of this 150cc Honda scooter with their 125cc Monkey
I'm holding out for the ADV350 - anyone hear anything about it coming to U.S. shores? Thanks Adam for giving scoots some respect.
Still waiting
They'd probably bring it faster if more people bought the 150/160s........
U can finance one
It's more like 6k out the door
$3,000 in the Philippines 🇵🇭 with disc brake at the rear :)
Same in indonesia with disc brake at the rear and has abs technology
I bought one recently and love it! Great Review
I relocated to Asia for work and scooter are the way around the city.
Great long vidio, i can evan hear the sound of the quiet engine, 5 stars for that. Great detailed vidio
thank you for the video,,, i'm about to buy one so i check our honda dealership website and i found 2021 and 2022 both same price so are there any difference?
thank you
$4400 for a 150cc engine is pretty insane. The press release ride explains why they didn't have the ADV 750X to ride. I'm not sure who would buy this in America, maybe if it had a 300 or 500cc engine I could see a point.
$4400 is a lot. Especially if the Honda Navi sells for less than half. ($1807)
They need to bring the ADV 350 here and slang that shit for 4999.
If I was still living in the city I'd ride this instead and save my gixxus for recreation. I'd have so much fun whipping this thing around in traffic!
Damn y they removed the disc break at the rear🤦♂️🤦♂️here in ph. Its full of goodies.
Its a rear disc brake in PH.
Same! I cannot believe it made it to the USA. Will the aftermarket bore up kits even reach the US? 150cc is not suitable for the USA. Maybe if it was a high comp 250cc with 4 valves long stroke, that would be really great!
You can get 78mpg on a Honda Rebel 300, why does this ADV Scooter with 150cc get only the same MPG as a 300cc Motorcycle, should it not get more?
Price is $4,299 in CR,Ia. Just purchased 2022 Red Honda ADV 150 8-10-2022
i just dont see the point of smart keys.
I miss my Lambretta LI with 190 Imola reed kit....I’d race anyone on anything light to light on that thing 😎🤙💨🏁
I liked the styling but I really want the "big ruckus". I thought its minimalist styling was awesome. Plus it had a bigger engine. But I might be the only one that liked its looks.
I can't even find a used one here in the USA.
Their owners will not let them go
@@Winterstick549 I found one on FB market place or cycle trader, but it was in Pennsylvania or some place in the NE.
Specially in such a small bike. I love it.
I got motion sickness watching you ride on this windy, curvy road.
Wish they would bring the X-ADV to the states, or at least make this bike a 300cc...
ADV 150 is produced from indonesia for global production same as like the PCX 150, but the ADV 250/300 is under development maybe produced in thailand because the base production of scooter 250cc/300cc in thailand
I appreciate you, Adam!
Nothing can beat a scooter in practically plus lots of fun when you want to be naughty. You got to have one on the side.
This scooter been selling in Asia for few years. We have rear disks brake.
And abs and idling stop system
Thats why in asia you would need that
I don't see myself getting a scooter, but this one might be an exception.
Scooters are pretty fun and comfortable to ride! Give it a try!
Shaking CVT intensifies.
But wait, rear brake still drum brake? In indonesia was disc brake
Hi! Here in Singapore this bike cost 7k.. with insurance road tax bla bla bla easily cost us 13k for a scooter.. Crazy ya? Only in singapore 🙄
I’m rocking this adv btw.. 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
I drive by Orange County Honda Kawasaki regularly.
I hope Honda makes a freeway capable ADV350cc
Here in Taiwan, Honda is asking for 6000 USD for the ADV 150cc. The Yamaha Aerox 155cc is 3000 USD.
Looks like a decent city commuter. Room for a few groceries, rain suit, clothes for work. You can drag race people on e-bikes ... lol
Been eye balling one of these for rural back roads and rural lettered highways. Opinion for that?
My information is the 300 is making it here also and if they do well the scuttlebutt says the full sized X ADV could follow. That’s the one I’ll wait for.
Since when is $4400 for a 125 scooter "extremely affordable"
keep it for 5 years or more, its pretty cheap compared to using a car or an annual train ticket to London. But yes there are cheaper scoots.
150cc
Good review, thanks.
Unfortunately, Honda Canada does not offer this scooter. Canada always seems to get screwed. Maybe we'll get by ....oh ....2022.
How are the passenger accommodations?
*Honda does not intend the 'ADV' to be anything other than 'what it is' of itself, NOT compared to other machines*
( *Honda introduced the 'Cub' to America in late '58-'59 era and sales 'took-off like a rocket' once people rode one and saw how inexpensive and reliable they were* )
_________
*You're missing the point by calling the 'ADV' an 'Introductory machine' because it isn't*
*It's been deliberately designed to function in urban and 'off-road' environments with equal ability*
*What more can be asked for that price?*
( *70+mph is 'blazing fast' for a 150cc engine!* )
We need a 250/300 version of this scooter, both in the UK where I am, and US. It would sell well.
They do a bigger version in the UK.But its around £8k. Want one ?
@@janschkeuditz6065
I know this, a 750, but a 250/300 would be the ideal size for an urban commuter, I think.
@@hughneek12 Yep, 300cc is the sweet spot, I'd be all over it, 150cc really limits you to in town use only.
They should also introduce in india
@@hughneek12 you know this ?
There are plenty of 300/600 cc scooters in the UK.
Plus a 250 can keep up with or even take out a group of Harleys in the twisties ,except they can power out of corners quicker.
But if youhave the ability to outbrake them then they wont shake you off.
Maybe you didn't know that ha hs
150cc that cruises at 55/60 mph .
Seems a bit fast ,good price though considering most people only ride at 70/80 mph even on a 14k bike with a 900/1200 cc engine .
Horses for courses I suppose , however when prats ramble on about Kevlar packs, chrome packs or carbon packs . Its time to think about why you are buying a bike.
For you or the neighbours.
In practical terms and for most short or long journeys a maxi scooter is probably the best value .
As most riders lack ability its not so hard to keep up with a flock of Harleys or roadsters in the Twisties especially if you can out brake them.
We Indians are waiting for maxxi scooters in our market
Great review very educational. I am waiting for the. Fonza350
I love my Yamaha Xmax but I'm thinking of getting the Honda ADV 350 or Kymco AK550 at the end of the year.
@0:54 It's not available in the U.K . Only the 750 Model
I stopped riding my DR650 due to knee arthritis. But this little guys seems very comfortable
Here is my first scooter I'll buy after I get my license
Hi , what do you think better (FUN) - new Forza 300 or adv 150? For city ride
For city riding only, ADV. For mixed riding, 300
