Place the surface 2 surface launchers in the 2 wells, better stealth. Smaller decoy launchers outside. Side cut-outs for triple torpedo launchers each side. 1 boat at rear, other side dunking sonar. Like to put a Phalanx on top of hanger, but that's 4+ tons high up on ship??

U do hve a helo pad to help extend the protection envelop n a hot war. So long as these babies r 30% cheaper than a Corvette I think they make good sense. What is not recognized by the combat system as proposed is the Anti-Ship Cruise Missile (sometimes supersonic) that exist that must be overcome to survive in the modern battlespace. I like this little Destroyer Escort with modifications. The AN/SPS-80(V) radar with three (3) or four (4) array faces should be the primary sensor for the ship. An abbreviated B/L-10 Aegis Combat System connects everything. Amid-ships we need Adaptable Deck Launchers (ADLs) that can accomodate a Mk41 VLS cell container . . . or at least one module (8-cells in two rows of four cells) on the bow. Put the RAM on the Helo Hangar. An least one set of Torpedo Tubes aft. Propulsion should be Hybrid Electric Drive so we can stretch our fuel at slower speeds over longer distances. Everything else looks good. I am not crazy about the Planing Hull for it does not fare well in Blue Water operations. A Semi-displacement hull with sonar in the bulbous bow handles much better and makes more sense. These little guys will hunt submarines in the Littorals in shallow water.
