I just ordered one as a tender for my super yacht.
wooo i tought the same, a ship like this reconvert to a yatch 😀😀
I ordered a scale model for my Jacuzzi to test different sea states..
I can't afford one. 😢
Argentian need a lot of these
0:50)The missile launchers seem to be mounted wrong. More logical to have the muzzles beyond the railings. In this position, the BACKBLAST will damage the deck.
1:25)What turret? The .50 cal. is out in the open.
1:46)Is that the captain's chair on the starboard side? Why all the open space above the bridge?
That bridge is looking very similar to the NCC 1701 Enterprise of James T. Kirk. Just saying. I'm betting the various stations are very close to the Enterprise as well.
yap, that is cos the designers and engineers are heavy fans of Star Trek 😉
I think the RIB is more important than a 25mm gun aft
These smaller patrol boats would surely be more effective with a dual purpose weapon such as Rheinmetall GDM-008 35mm which could effectively dispatch light surface targets but also provide a CIWS for the patrol craft itself, wouldn't that be more of a requirement given Iran's constant shows of force
Small but good one, complete patrol boat
whats the sea state survival for this?
Well, Croatia is building something like this. Very similar. Look OOB 31 Omiš.
8 s-to-s missiles on a patrol boat? What? 🤔
what would be the price of a ship like this to civil use like a yatch? without the militar parts and technology and using analog driving systems i think the price would be very cheap
What's the price of this?
Phil navy would aprieciate if they have like this, 10 units instead of 6 80mtr patrol vessel.
helo , congratulation navy , cool ship , I do aprove , tank you very much
Ok yan kung meron Anti aircraft barak 8 at cruise missile.
Price
ooh surface to surface missiles, imagine if the captain announces "We just capped a cruiser!" after firing them.
Is it from the Netherlands? Judging by the mast and guns it's very possible that it's from the Netherlands
Nope. From the USA.
It's posted by "Swiftships USA" I would guess (very cautiously mind you) that it's from the USA....
i saw a similar ship in Damen Shipyards of Netherlands, maybe that was that you saw also, i think Swiftship USA take the model of Damen
Wow3 Phil's nid this patrolling we can install torpedoes
Why would a patrol boat need anti-ship missiles? An RIB and perhaps a small UAV would be more useful.
if you put a bigger gun you could advertise it as gun boat as well as a patrol vessel
gun looks nice but a slightly higher caliber (12-16" inch) would increase survivability, ideally triple barrel turrets in the aft and bow of the ship should be installed
+planetsector9 You want to put a 12 inch gun on a patrol boat? Seriously?
Actually, he stated 12- 16 inch guns. He wants a Montana class Battleship to patrol. One triple turret weighs as much as the entire 45 meter vessel and maybe more (2,000+ tons). The 57 mm would be better in the front , a 25 mm on each beam in place of the missile launchers, sonar and a short range ASW rocket launcher or at least the capability or retro fitting an ASW later in case of a serious conflict. Last, extend to length to 50 meters and the beam another 2 meters for stability in sea states 3-4.
a 16 inch cannon is "slightly" larger in caliber than a 30mm gun. roger.
Civilians. 😑
@@joshlower1 It's only a jump from 30 to 406, not that big a deal.
WE SHOULD INVEST HEAVILY ON HIGH SPEED WATER VEHICLES FOR NEXT 20 YEAR
This would be great for Jobbie Nooner on Lake St. Clair. What a chick magnet.
I think having both a 30mm and 25mm gun is odd.
I think it is more odd that a patrol ship is having SSMs... But yeah
Wouldn't be the first patrol vessel to have SSMs.
Never said it was the first...
Again, didn't say it was the first... Just that it was odd
Actually it is... There are absolutely no reason for a small patrol boat to have SSMs, it is completely detrimental to their job.
What you are thinking of, is perhaps missil/torpedo boats... But those usually have a bigger gun, are faster (than patrol boats), and have a lower profile.
This one looks like something like coastguard ship, and that would fit the discretion, but it is armed with missiles meant for a completely different type of job. The missiles also makes the ship much more expensive, due to it needing radar and sensor blocks, that makes it capable of using said missiles... Something that is wasted, if it just for patrolling an area for pirates or making fishing inspections and the like.
Pakistan Navy just got this
No air defense
It's for operation in litorals not open seas
It is not a frigate.
Who would build a ship which could only patrol less than 150 feet? That's ridiculous. I could patrol that much in my own row boat.
45m is the length of the ship...
+Sylvain Campeau I know. I was just making fun of the not quite exact title of this video, you know a 45 meter patrol vessel, as in a vessel that only patrols 45 meters. Very surprised it took this long for someone to notice my comment and correct it, but then again it only has 24k views.
150 feet = 45 meters.
+Pedro Santos Jr Actually, 45 meters = 147.98 feet, but who's counting?
Think of the fuel budget.
Bad
Why make guns different? Seems both 30mm would be easier logistically. Or.... put the new 50mm army Bradley gun on it, in a navalized version. That would be awesome and almost the same weight.
