Now the opener, midcard, uppercard, and main event consists of all of the same type of wrestlers and same indie style of wrestling. They don’t have to do a budget cut to make a profit the new owner would then be responsible for the contracts.

AEW can’t do Strowman vs Brian Cage imo. As soon as Cage is in there with someone as massive as Braun, the view of him as this hulking giant instantly goes out the door. Same reason you could never do Brian Cage vs. Brock Lesnar.
Even when you saw Brian Cage face to face with Hangman Page you realize Cage is shorter than expected. He would easily get dwarfed being in the same ring as Lesnar or Strowman.
There was no way wwe’s plan was going to work long term: giving wrestlers raises if they sign 5 year contract extensions to prevent them from jumping to aew when they were getting started. So much talent, that you don’t have a plan for, they don’t have anything to do so they’re just sitting there getting paid. In today’s get your money first mentality, employees need to think the long term plan/effects of those decisions.

Yeah Booker T had it right that we don’t know what was going on behind the scenes. But if the booking didn’t have anything for him that shouldn’t be possible. They could book him like they did Andre, Undertaker, Lesnar. As a monster that’s a threat and pull him out for some super heat and long story lines. Have him squash some faces and look super unbeatable until your super face guy can beat him in a big match. Like back when Eddie Guerrero beat Lesnar when Lesnar was unbeatable and tearing through guys. You still need a few monsters for the hero’s to over come. But who knows what Braun was being paid and if they needed a budget cut and if he’d take a cut.
alot of kids loved braun cause he seemed larger than life. I think about when I was a kid and seeing wrestlers... wow tho.. wish him luck anyway.. my kids were disappointed
