I like the DeWalt better for two reasons. 1. The slide adjuster on the Milwaukee tends to move when in use, as others have mentioned. The DeWalt does not have this issue. 2. The clamp on the Milwaukee is offset, it is not a line with the center hole. When using the Milwaukee, it's possible to twist the jig away from the door since the clamp point is only on one corner. The DeWalt clamps in line with the center hole, and is less prone to coming away from the door (it stays in place better).

The 1' hole saw (dewalt) will drill all the way through as well on a 2 /34" deep handle. The Milwaukee comes up a bit short and won't punch through. He doesn't mention this as he probably has an affiliation to Milwaukee. I know this because I have both the Milwaukee and the Dewalt. The Milwaukee self-centering feature is nice, but the Dewalt is by far the superior product.

With all of these jigs, I don't see how you adjust for the door thickness when drilling the hole for the bolt.

Any tips on drilling a mobile home outswing door? The jigs wont work because of the lip on the door.

Have you tried the Blu-Mol® Professional Bi-Metal Lock Installation Tool / Jig? I'm wondering because CLK Supplies sells it.

The only problem I found with the Milwaukee is that the spinning hole saw can accidentally move your backset setting if you're not careful.

I had that same issue. I have to have someone hold it while I get started. The DeWalt design wouldn't have that issue. He talked about the inconvenience of setting the backset on the DeWalt as if it was a con. My first thought was 'at least it won't move. I might have to try the DeWalt.

Especially if you're boring out a smaller hole. The Milwaukee one is complete garbage. Bought it because i needed the holesaws, and the kit was cheaper. I tried it once, then threw it in the trash.

Pain? It’s very easy to change out the hole guard. This kit was designed primarily for new builds. Both these companies are labeled construction tool companies. What you want is not what these were intended for.

i love your videos, but a consistent issue across all of them, your mic is peaking, no it's not my speaker, i listened on several different devices from mobile, to the speakers i use for editing music, the peaking is definitely in the video, you can hear it with the speakers close to all the way down. This could be any number of issues, but the most likely is whatever device you have picking up your device is probably peaking at the audio interface before it even hits any software. You can fix this by just letting the voice be turned down in the audio interface, rule of thumb when recording vocals, for music or otherwise, always go quieter than you think you should, you can always turn it up software side after the fact.

a quick follow up to this, if you don't know how to do this then I'll do an edit of one video for free for you and as long as it's not peaking already from the recording I recieve, I will make you consistently audible without peaking all throughout.

@@vilo3454 it’s…… not I don’t know how many ways to tell you that, but I’ll just use those two words to keep it simple. I’ve listened on several devices and they all have this issue, my guess is that you simply don’t know what you’re talking about, or have an acquired ear for this guy’s harsh esses. In any case, I wasn’t talking to you, and it was feedback for the creator not for you.

@@vilo3454 there’s also a chance that if you have never worked in any kind of audio you just don’t know what peaking is.
