Really impressive! I read a comment that the 3 cylinder sounds better, and I tend to agree, although the 4 is still great. Multiples of 3 will make similar music, especially as the revs climb, so the 3 cylinder is closer to a V12 sound.
Both engines are awesome, though. They beat 2-strokes or (horrors!) electrics quite decisively!

Electric starters are also available on Moki radial engines. It makes much easier to start the engine and it's less dangerous too.

Nothing like confidently sticking landing then rolling out at will. Brilliant. Much prefer “non shows”. No announcers and cheesy music. Makes videos more intimate as well. Like your there with flying buddies. Cheers

Those are perfect mustang. Just like the merlin was the perfect fit in real plane, the kolms are perfect for large mustangs. Brilliant and well flown!

I think they are 1/4.5 Horst... 108" isn't big enough.
The wingspan of the full size P-51 D is 11.28 meters. The model has 2.75 meters. So the exact scale should be 1/4.1 😉
@@RCScaleAirplanes @RCScaleAirplanes Ah interesting. The 1/4 scale Spitfire is 110", and I always thought the P51 would be larger because it is so much bigger in other proportions... In fact is should only be 111"! The 1/4 Tempest is 123" wingspan - surprisingly big compared to the P51. You were right! :)
@@avipatable the wingspan of the Spitfire MK IX is 11.22 m, just some inches smaller than the one of the P-51 D, which is 11.28 m

Very cool to see an RC model of my P-51 Nervous EnergyV. I keep it in a warbird hangar at Falcon Field in Mesa Arizona. I look forward to flying it next weekend for a flyby of the University of Colorado parents weekend football game.

My opinion was radial was the best sound for realism is now questionable.
Totally out of scale sound, besides I never heard an engine popping

Call me crazy but just like Saito 4 strokes at idle these things sound like bubble machines. I don't like it. Off idle like flying they sound spectacular.
Sorry! But I'm so glad I only use electric now, when I see and hear these old planes that both clatter and make more noise than they should.🙉 Nothing to look forward to.
