Good morning Casey and Becky! Thank you for taking us along for the ride. I am glad everyone was OK in that accident. Stay safe and have a great weekend.
Casey your not kidding about being lucky be alive. Becky sure showed off her motor skills and how hot did that Warn Winch get? Anyhows, thanks for sharing and stay safe.👍
That was some winch warming time there! 💯 Reminds me, I have a little thermal button to replace on my old Warn Powerplant Dual Force HP that may have caused it to quit on me.🤔 Yes here on bread bags in my Moon Boots! 😆👍👍
Listened to it numerous times before typing this comment - - At 8:28, is it just me - or does that sound like the infamous '4.0 valve-lifter tick'?? And I ask because my '93 ZJ makes the same sound. Somedays it's quieter and others much more pronounced. I've been ignorantly trying to ignore it, but will have to crack open the valve cover very soon to inspect if that is indeed the culprit. Who knows sometimes with these engines? Could be a cracked flexplate, or loose torque converter bolt(s), or maybe just an exhaustipation garsket? 8:58 - Pretty impressive. Even more so, if that was only 2WD. I would be too chicken-$%^# to drive up a grade where the dirt looked like that, cuz you just know it's at least 2 feet of loose 'silt'. So, yeah - that was impressive. Casey continues to be the only other person I know of who dresses accordingly to the blatantly-visible weather conditions! Be it rain, snow, sleet, high winds - Everyone else seems to be in sneakers and T-shirts. While we're on that subject - and totally unrelated to off-road recoveries... WTH is it with guys wearing camouflage shorts, with their skinny-ass, pasty-white legs stickin' out like breaded chicken? And I'm not talking 'normal' pasty-white, but 'pasty-WHITE-AF' !! - And they're usually paired with a brightly colored T-shirt - and you can always tell who is born/bred here in Utah and over 40, cuz they'll finish their ensemble with a nice pair of black socks. 11:27 - I'll betya there was little-to-no traffic for a good half-hour before they need to pull that CAN-AM up on the trailer. At least that's the norm for me, every time I gotta one of our large commercial vehicles into someone's sketchy driveway here in Southern Utah. You think people would err on the side of caution and slow-down a little, right? Yeah - Ain't nobody got time for dat. Am I always this judgementally long-winded? Yes. Yes, I am. - - 🤔?... Maybe if I started wearing camo shorts I'd be more 'chill'?
I didn't put grocery bags on my shoes. They were paper only then. Plastic bread bags came into use, along with plastic sandwich bags, when I was pushing Jr High School. Plastic trash bags much later. I did have rubber galoshes to put on over my shoes. They were a pain +. As I was growing, they were either too big, or too small. Moon boots showed up for deeper snow when I was an adult. I had some for when I went skiing. Not good for water though.
A couple of dudes did a similar thing like that here in California and they were just going for a "short ride" late at night when they arrived at their campsite. Of course they were also having a few beers. They didn't tell anybody where they were going camping and it took about a week to eventually find them. They went off a bank in the middle of the night and their Can-Am was way down in the canyon and their bodies were strewn out along the slope and decomposing in the hot sun.
Stupid games, stupid prizes. Foolish folks ruining Sand Hollow and turning into another Glamis. Hope the ride with your insurance company is as smooth as the sudden stop on the fence line.
Good job that went way better than I thought it would it may be hard but that's why it's called work not play if it was easy everyone would do it Thanks for the video
Casey you two made that look easy. Becky did really good winching and driving the Cherokee. You would think people would have some respect and slow down when they see you guys are trying to load something. Taking a few extra minutes won't hurt anything in my opinion.
A little faster there than they should have been huh :) But luckily they were sitting in a can-am and not that other brand, which probably would have folded in half with everything in it 🙈
Not sure why those Can ams have break away points built in.... Beautiful terrain as always👍✌️🙏🏻 Driving past their vision at 60 at nite doesn’t help vehicle integrity 🤣
Well I saw this and thought it was Casey LaDelles second channel lol but it definitely wasn't because you ain't complaining about other people especially other folks channels and how they are doing it wrong lol but I subbed because your channel is better and not so opinionated and so uptight about things... great video glad it popped up..
Well 20 years in business I rarely have much to say about how the "NFG" does things. One thing will never change...that's me. I have better things to do than critique someone else. Doing over 256 off road tows last year kept me busy. No Drama, just filming what we do.."1/10th" To add I have never watched any of "those other channels"
moon boots! any bag was a good bag, but I never bothered. too active and wild as a kid, the bags took more time to put on than for me to shred them instantly as I stepped out the door. very hard on footwear and wrecked lots grinding knees/palms nearly to the bone(bikes, sleds, anything with wheels). one time a dog ran straight in front of me and I hit it hard, went over the handle bars and slid a long way on coarse pavement. no broken bones, except the left femur in a sudden motorcycle to car stop, 45mph to 0mph was not fun, laid it down and hit nearly flat and 90 angle. skills, luck and guardian angels were with me that day, I would have been dead otherwise.
How many winches do you go through in a year on the jeep? I didn't know you could run a winch that long. That was a lot of winching. Thanks for the show.
I have some winches 20 years old..never had a problem. Most commercial Warn winches have a thermal shut down. Very rarely do they warm up enough to shut off.
Looks like those machines are flimsy despite the high price. People spend more money beefing them up. That’s serious damage to the front of the machine 😮
wow, they hammer slammed that thing horribly, not a ride I'd want to have been in. even after nearly going off mountainside of West Virginia at high speeds in rail buggies. granted we had race seats and 5 point racing seat belts. open everywhere, except a top pan and no helmets on. climbed a hill fast one time and didn't notice the large cutaway(narrow access roadway), we launched off it and slammed very hard into the other side. I'm still trying to get my rump out of my throat 25+ years later. 🤣 other than sore tailbones(whole body compression pain), nothing broke on us nor the rail buggy, except our pride!
Just wish you would have not such a falling out with Matt. Don’t know the details but you guys were better together. Wish you would’ve not tried to get him in trouble with the law. I’m sure there are two sides. Bury the hatchet life is too short.
that just moves the crumple zone and broken parts further back, right to the cage and occupants. the driver likely pooched it, jammed the brakes way late and nose dived it hard. had they hammered the throttle hard, it should have pancaked the middle/rear end on the opposing side, assuming they were really doing 60mph and it had enough power(VERY likely not on both counts). from the looks of it, 10 to 15mph wreck or it would have been dug in and on it's roof.
Good morning Casey and Becky! Thank you for taking us along for the ride. I am glad everyone was OK in that accident. Stay safe and have a great weekend.
Absolutely Casey , the machine can be replaced. I am glad that the passengers were okay.
HEY! Good morning Casey and Becky! Thumbs UP!!
Good morning. Always cool adventures with Casey!
Casey and Becky, Congratulations on the recovery! HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY BECKY!
Nice raincoat Casey! Better than a yellow reflective vest...
I'm glad I wasn't in that thing when it lost it's front suspension!! That must have been quite a jolt!! LOL!! Excellent job getting it out!!
Casey your not kidding about being lucky be alive. Becky sure showed off her motor skills and how hot did that Warn Winch get? Anyhows, thanks for sharing and stay safe.👍
Thanks Steve. She has been right by my side for 2 decades. The winch barely came off warm. It is a 10s so it was barely working.
Good job glad everyone was safe
Mess yes, but the dog did a good job of supervising.
Another successful recovery for Casey and crew
Good they are ok, that was a mess. Hope your family stays safe and healthy.
that looks like our border fence. lift here to enter 🙈
Good recovery! Great work Bec!!
car or truck hood as a ski would have helped bigtime ,!!!! luv your vids CASEY!!!
Ya dragging through the sand like that looked pretty amateur
That was some winch warming time there! 💯
Reminds me, I have a little thermal button to replace on my old Warn Powerplant Dual Force HP that may have caused it to quit on me.🤔
Yes here on bread bags in my Moon Boots! 😆👍👍
The washes aren’t hard on machines. People driving faster than they should especially in unknown places are hard on machines.
Facts..
Nice recovery Casey. Good thing it wasn't too far off the road.
Oh yeah, bread bags and moon boots..I remember them well...great rescue
Bit fast for late at night, lucky they are okay!! A lot of winching!!
Great fence work Casey🤣
Poor buggy, beautiful country : )
Great job crew!
Thanks Guys

Wonder Bread bread sacks for sure. Maybe you could look into the click click pop pop sound emitting from rear end of the Cherryokie 😂😂
Detroit Locker says it all
Loading on the side of the road looks sketchy. Everybody was hauling ass and not slowing down or moving over for anyone.
gettin melodramatic in your old age Casey that wasn't that bad

I was definitely one of those kids with the bread bag waterproof boots😂
Great recovery 👍
I was a 2 kroger bag kid my friends made fun of me till they finally tried it ,then it was their idea and the greatest thing lol.
👏🏻👏🏻 great job Mrs becky, you did pretty good too Casey😂

scenery was quite nice, even though the job was a bit of a drag.😉👍
Casey,
How far up kolob terrace road are the roads cleared? Can you get to the resivoir? Oak valley clear yet?
It still has a dew drifts by the community center. Opening fast
Thanks for the update.
Lol the dog understood you!
Nice job team Casey 👏 👍 👌 ✌️🇺🇸
Still use the grocery store keep my feet warmer in the winter time 38 years old
Stupid games, stupid prizes. Foolish folks ruining Sand Hollow and turning into another Glamis. Hope the ride with your insurance company is as smooth as the sudden stop on the fence line.
Really! Driving like that in the dark is never a good idea. Nothing good ever happens after midnight (-:
Good job that went way better than I thought it would it may be hard but that's why it's called work not play if it was easy everyone would do it

Ya that guy was passing on a double yellow in excess of 80 mph I am sure. I did edit what I said right after that...lol
on the second pull how many times did you rest and cool winch
Not one time.
@@CaseysOffRoadRecovery im kinda new to 12 volt winches always had PTO read about so many minutes on and so many cool down just wondering
I wonder how much alcohol was involved in that stunt?
A little faster there than they should have been huh :) But luckily they were sitting in a can-am and not that other brand, which probably would have folded in half with everything in it 🙈
Casey you looked like the gorden fisherman haha:)))) 😅
Not sure why those Can ams have break away points built in.... Beautiful terrain as always👍✌️🙏🏻 Driving past their vision at 60 at nite doesn’t help vehicle integrity 🤣
Wasn't at night, itcwas in the morning.

I was a moon boot kid!
Went through plenty of bread bags and grocery sacks when I was a kid
Drivers of those things need to drive slower at night. Might not be as lucky next time!
I first thought that was Big Bird! LOL Nice job folks

A lot of ploughing.. could make an a frame lift that digs in as the car comes to it
9:30 i think you could hv hooked to the back of your rig and pulled thst thing up that sand hill with a little run lol
Maybe.....but the Jeep barely made it.
Looks like those machines are flimsy despite the high price. People spend more money beefing them up.
That’s serious damage to the front of the machine 😮
I wonder how much additional damage was done to this machine by dragging it a half mile across the terrain?
None it is scrap metal. It will be at a junk auction by the end of the month.
They should make winches winch faster lol
I have 3 Warn High speed winches...they rock.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍👍

2am, hmmmmm
That’s a strange kind of light pole to have out in the middle of nowhere.
It's a limited access highway route.
The gene pool tried to cleanse itself. I am sure the driver of that sxs will not realize how lucky they are.
Just wish you would have not such a falling out with Matt. Don’t know the details but you guys were better together. Wish you would’ve not tried to get him in trouble with the law. I’m sure there are two sides. Bury the hatchet life is too short.
That was years ago. Water under the bridge.
They have cheap made parts they need heavy duty parts
Or not drive like an idiot.
that just moves the crumple zone and broken parts further back, right to the cage and occupants.

Glad they’re okay but you gotta be smarter than going 60 on a road like that
Springtime, it's time to plant.
nice outfit
These people...
