The Biggest Motorhome Recovery Ever! Prevost on the Beach.

- We are On the Road Again, this time we have been tasked in helping the participants of the UTV takeover get all parked on the beach. The lake has receded and left what looks like a firm gravel type surface, however it is quite deceiving. A very nice Prevost had attempted to reach his camping area and broke through the crust. So with a lot of creativity and plenty of luck, we were finally able to get them pulled out un damaged and parked on firmer ground. We had an awesome crew and a gracious owner, all chipping in to complete a tough job. Thanks for rooting for us and coming along for the ride. Thanks for watching Casey

That's a beautiful coach! Don't think I'd be taking it out on the sand.
Ya rich owners who take a 2.5 million off road like that needs to be charge double..lol
Just because you're rich doesn't necessarily mean you're smart.
@@Puckgrinder85 But you have enough money to pay for people that are,...
That is a beautiful Prevost. Even stuck it looks amazing!
That truck is a thing of Beauty.
the Big White Tonka Truck.
If a D11 turned up the whole family would have been there, they could of had a picnic.
Kind
Yes it is!
If this was Alaska, the tide would be coming in too!
Whew.
Good work guys!
awesome paint job
Casey’s next purchase on GovDeals will be either an Abrams tank with a giant tow hook welded to the main gun, a D10 CAT, or a Case 150 steam tractor
I might get hit with more than a flip flop if I tried that.
@@CaseysOffRoadRecovery searching on gov planet or similar sights you might look out for a freightliner flu, kind cool trucks (basically a unimog 406/successor to the 406 in a excavator guise (although they aren't as good offroad in terms of articulation because of the much stiffer coil springs)
also if you really want to go crazy you could go for the rare military wreckers . . . I think they made some 5 ton wreckers? I know they made some dragon wagon and hemtt wreckers (prob a little big for your operation . . . maybe more than just a little) (M984 or m985 for the hemtt)

@@CaseysOffRoadRecovery 🤣🤣🤣
The baby dozer sent out a stress call to it's mother....lol...
Honestly, I was not sure the 6 could get it. That bus was on its belly.
😂😂
Should have called its Father the D10. That would have pulled it no problem. I have personally seen a D10 in action
That's the prettiest white interior I've ever seen on a 5 ton, and well done with the hearing protection 🤘 Smart man
To be fair the 5ton did pulled out the first time
That's what she said.
I love the paint job on the buss (motor-home), as for the recover, lessons were learned by mistakes and that is what life is all about!

@@MilitantPotato thanks
what I take from this video is ... you really need to install an inflatable yellow rubber ducky on top of the 5-ton.
That should make it amphibious.
Wow! Nice 2.5 million coach that weighs in at 60k lbs, that someone that was a good idea to drive in the sand... genius.
Money can't buy common sense.
sometimes when you are rich you dont care. it would be like you getting your bike muddy. you can always wash it off, or even pay someone else to lol
That fool don't deserve to be towed.
@@nutmagnet22 Guy had more dollars than sense.
First world problems.....
Beautiful
Beautiful coach!
I was incredibly impressed when you pulled him out the 1st time. Then you decided to make it harder and have him bury it to the frame 😱
The 5 ton did a great job until the anchor stuck
Sadly I can't pull and steer at the same time lol. I am good at pulling it sideways and getting in a mess!
I was really impressed that you pulled it out the first time. Motorhomes out on sand covered muck--brilliant! Love that 5Ton!
Beautiful coach. The paint scheme is stunning.
It really is!
@@CaseysOffRoadRecovery Was it a Liberty? Oh man, what a sweet ride either way. 🙂
I believe it was a Prevost. Not sure if it was a liberty, is that a model?
@@CaseysOffRoadRecovery Liberty Coaches are one of the high-end Prevost bus converters.
Yes this was likely a Liberty. They posted a build spec from Prevost Factory. Not sure where to tell you to look.
D6 be like: something will move be it the whole bus or just the hook points.
We had multiple points...but ya have to be careful
No, what the D6 did, was rotate the earth under the bus. It wasn't trying to tow the bus out.
The 5 ton sure gave it a valiant shot. Good job guys!
That was a good one. Thanks for posting those tips and tricks. Nothing like learning while we watch. Til next time folks!
That pull made for stomach churning sweat producing pull. Very brave of the Prevost owner!
That is a beautiful paint job on that coach
That motorhome had a nice paint job.
Monster of a moter home. I heard the one guy say that the driver was crazy for driving out there. True. But we all are human and definitely make mistakes. I know Ine ,ade my fair share. Grate vid Cassy.
when I packed and was an outfitter, with my mules and horses in the 4 Corners area up in the Colorado Rockies, I had a military surplus 6x6 M-211 "Jimmy" Deuce + A Half. A bed from a military surplus, 6x6 5 ton Kaiser "M-816" (equipped w recovery boom), could be swapped out for the cargo/troop carrier bed on your 6x6, handier equipment for handling the bigger recovery jobs .
You are some man for one man
That 5 tonner white beauty is definitely a game changer it Rocks and Rolls ....God bless
Thanks Casey, that was tense!!!
Yes it was! Thanks for joining the party on the beach!
That fine line between pulling it hard enough to get it out yet not ripping things off in the process.
Correct. When your dealing with Motorhomes like this worth close to 2 million you don't mess around.
Good job guys. great video , hope the coach owner learned a thing or two.
I'm sure shelling out $5K for a tow job didn't hurt the family budget..
Coolest part of lone rock was watching all the wild rigs coming in. Huge converted bus homes. Prevosts. A Slick Peterbuilt hauling a 5th wheel camper rig. At least one deuce and a half. Was pretty neat. I imagine getting them back out looked a little like this.
Awesome videos
love the rubber duckie
SWEET
Nailbiter. Nice job and no damage done.
I want a truck you need ear protection to drive... 😎
Cut the exhaust off any car you own! That'll wake ppl up!
Buy a Dodge.
I drove a Freightliner Columbia that I had to wear earplugs. Rattled and made enough noise to drive you insane.
I thought he was listening to soothing tunes.
...especially defective 3M hearing protection.
I've been waiting all day for this one, another solid recovery!
Glad you enjoy it!
That is one beautiful coach.
It sure is!
That second stuck was a good one. Sometimes the immovable object needs a little more irresistible force. It's out, life is good.
The teen driver was my favorite part!! Love you, S!!
Casey you sure made that look easy! When you said a dozer couldn't do it, I thought you were a madman trying it with your 5 ton. I didn't realize it was a mini dozer. Good job!
Getter done Casey.
I used to work for an environmental drilling company. I've spent way too much time being towed around by D6's. Sometimes, when it got really bad, one D6 wasn't enough. Watching that brought back memories.
Motorhome? Bigger than my house...and the rest of the street combined. What a monster!
This guy should be at an RV Resort!!!!!
that was awesome
Love the new rig. This should be re-named Casey's "Heavy" off-road recovery.
Maybe so...
Nice job, thanks for sharing.
One of the nicest paint jobs 🥰
Old fashion horsepower to the rescue.
What a beautiful paint job!
Beautiful paint scheme, never driven a coach/ bus but aahh why go on the beach lesson learned kool that they got it out
Makes a lot more sense seeing the video than in the photo you shared: It looked 100 percent okay on the drive in.
Beutiful paint job on the prevo
I was there when this thing got stuck. Didn’t wait around for the full show. Cool finding it here!
what an absolute gorgeous paint job on that bus
Thanks for posting Casey, a little bit of a performance. Beach front entertainment.
Glad you enjoyed it
Yay! no wait we're stuck again. Good job you have access to the gear!! Nice job!
That was entertaining, very surprised to see it get pulled out in the beginning, looks like another live and learn experience, nothing like good old trial and error, school of hard knocks, etc... definitely many things to take note of for the next time, least you've got it on video for next time so as to sharpen up your game when same situation comes along again
Wild..but I have to say..that paint job on that Prevost is stunning
He is an adventurous chap driving that beast into the soft stuff, more than a motor home, that's a motorized apartment block.Have I been kind enough?
Great video, that Marathon Motor coach was just delivered to the owner not to long ago. I watched that one being build actually by Marathon coach in Oregon. Glad to see in out and relatively no harm. Good work guys.
Very cool!
Nice paint job on the RV.
The new truck is certainly earning its keep, just needs a few graphics on it now for advertising.
How bout a Red White and Blue Paint Job?
@@CaseysOffRoadRecovery and name her Big Mama, or Tiny.
@@CaseysOffRoadRecovery Hell if i was closer, id paint it for you!
I always love to watch the end credits. 👍 I loved the rubber ducky, that made me laugh. When you mentioned putting away the toys, I don't believe you did, it was just a different toy. Love the new logo.
Beautiful coach! I think I saw this guy roll through NW Montana/Flathead Lake mid summer. You never forget a bus like that.
You are right!
If he ever comes back, I’ve got the perfect, paved area/space for him to camp with hook up and septic. Prob can’t find anywhere closer to the lake and in town to accommodate him. Thought I’d throw it out there.
Good job Casey 👏
Awesome video, Casey!
Team Work for the win!
Watched the sun go down during this video.
Good job 👍
Awesome! Thank you!
More power! Where was the Binford D2000 RV tug rig when you need it. Nice to have those kind of resources when you need them.
Looks like a WW2 Army truck. My dad had two of them in the fifties. I watched him pull a tractor and loaded trailer out of the Everglades swamp.
Great video thank you!
Great video thanks again.
I loved the old trucks we had that you could open the windshield.😀
Amen!
Great work !
Thank you! Cheers!
I can’t believe they would drive that bus on the sand!!! You need that winch working!!!!! Lol
Love that truck - she's a STURDY GIRL!
That motorhome is REALLY heavvvvy!
Jeeze!👍👍
Lake Havasu 🔥🔥
Badass Bus🇺🇸
I'd like to know the thought process when they decided it was a good idea to drive that thing into the sand.
Looks solid, until that sinking feeling.
I want to know how there were a couple of bulldozers on standby. Casey almost had him out just a slight error from the steer tyres on the coach.
There is an event called UTV takeover, they use the dozers to make race paths and jumps in the sand and to also clear the blowing sand off the road.
www.utvtakeover.com/
Nah they thought Casey’s got the 5 ton we can go anywhere
They're rich, they can do whatever they want. That's the thought process.
When I was 5 I watched the 3 stooges. Can't take it anymore.
Awesome video, that was some serious pulling power
Excellence in determination!
Man I love watching these kind of videos! Keep the videos coming!
Thanks! Will do!
it definitely lets you know that there is always an OPTION....... I almost thought the ending would be a $350Hr Crane...
Casey, I drive tour buses and that H45 Prevost is one sweet ride $$$ and one "heavy" ride as well, you have to respect the weight. This unfortunately I have seen in real life and totally enjoyed your recovery and am glad it worked out. Thanks, you and your family stay safe.😷
Thanks Steve!
Awesome, big power !
Man ..... I love your posts/videos .. keep them coming .
Just wow! Great Video!
Glad you enjoyed it
Got to love that 45 mph AC in that beast!
When they get down and create suction, it’s nearly impossible to budge them. I remember when a P&H 4100 shovel sank up to the house where I used to work. We had 3 Liebherr 400 ton T282 haul trucks loaded pulling on it with 2 D11 dozers pushing and lifting on the tracks. And that after we spent a day pushing dirt away from it with the dozers. Never forget that mess!
I remember the days when everyone is at full pull and all the cables stop talking. It is time to hide behind something or back everyone off!
That truck is a beast!!!!
Awesome footage! Fun to see Boyd!
That is for sure!
I said, “Is that Boyd?! That IS Boyd! :)”
Gosh a beautiful motor home! Great video! Love the truck also! Lol
I did that once in my H3 Prevost. I take it he will only do that "once" too... LOL
Awesome truck
All's well that ends well. Nice job!
Wait a second. I remember this coach and couple being featured on one of those RV tv shows like Epic Rv or something. That paint scheme gave it away.
That's the one.
@@CaseysOffRoadRecovery thought so. But its a rather undignified way to treat a thing of beauty. Even if moneys no object.
Incredible work from Casey and Becky along with their support crew!
Love the 5t!
Me too!
