VB Nauticool I really wish my phone did not die. I had a bunch of aggravating things happen while it was charging. Homeowner loved it though. And that is what really matters. Going to be posting the finished crawl space encapsulation video of this particular job in a few hours....
You putting that bottom board in describes how all of my projects go. Misery loves company ! I have to rebuild my crawl space door today and now I know at least one thing I'm not going to do wrong !! After I get that done I can get back to building that small 2 x 4 table project that has a shelf 1/4 inch out of level. I don't know how I managed that :)
This one here went way better than these ruclips.net/video/qLCk_WVBj84/видео.html The ones in that recent project were the most out of square doors I have ever had to build!!!
Thank you for watching Deck! Glad you were able to take something away from the video that will hopefully be useful to you in the future. Appreciate it man!
I would have applied a new bead of liquid nails after you pulled out two failed bottom boards for the frame. I have the same type of situation for my door with that metal frame I need to remove and chisel out the mortar that holds it in. I also am going to use composite material for the door so as not to get wood rot and warpage in the future. I wonder if painting the wood door frame could help in prolonging the life of it, or it doesn't matter because it is pretreated wood? I am the master of perfection when I do my projects so I look into the future of how it will last over the years. I am worse than you on overkill. Good video, thanks for your honesty and bad luck that I thought only I had.
Hey guys! Just wanted to invite you to check out our latest crawl space encapsulation project! This project is the BIGGEST crawl space we have ever done! ruclips.net/video/F--zd4RANa0/видео.html
You know you could have cut the first two bottom boards at a point which would have allowed you to remove them but also to allow them to be used for the sides since the sides are quite a bit shorter than the base and the top. Very little waste that way.
You made laugh with three attempts on the board length, lesson learned, always check before pumping glue. :-) I would wear better safety glasses when grinding, I had metal in my eye grinding in a big pipe wearing safety glasses and a face shield, not a fun visit to clinic.
I agree! I hadn't thought about this video in a long time. It was a doozie of a job! And that door was a pain! Hope I don't ever get any metal in my eye like that. Hey, I appreciate you commenting too. Thank you.
A $300,000 home with a plywood door that looks like it belongs on a trailer. You started out good but the finish work looks terrible. Either way thanks for the video and the crawl looked good!
You have some good technique when it's good, but as a viewer I would appreciate being told what not to do rather than having to waste time watching what not to do. That being said, you did inspire me to do the right thing, just took me longer than I would have liked.
The demo is so real. Even the mistakes. really appreciate it. Projects in real life is always like that!
Thank you for watching. :)
Respect you didnt edit out mistakes...nice work. Going to steal your design for my two doors. Thank you.

Really appreciate you keeping it real. First time anyone has ever shown the real deal on youtube. Very encouraging. Good job.
That is probably the most meaningful comment anyone has ever left me!!! Thank you so, so much Delores. I really appreciated that.

Thanks for tuning in. 👍
I have to agree, this was genuine and I got a chuckle or two out of it because it reminded me of some of my past projects. Thanks again.
Thank you Brian! I was so mad that my phone died!

Great job man! I'm really inspired by this. Now I know how to build a crawl door. Very very helpful. Needed this.

Good job.
Thank you! Look at that crazy one I posted like 2 videos ago. It really made me think!
Nice job. I’ll be doing that this week.
Thank you! And good luck with your project!

You ought to see that one I built a few projects ago! Oh man!
You’d make a good construction comedian
I try.
My wood bottom had termites. So I concreted the block with a slight angle before installing the bottom board.
Nothing wrong with that. 👍
if i would have been there i could have lent you my five pound rawhide hammer!!! appreciate the video thanks man.
Haha! I cut her tight! 👍👍
Great video, thanks
Thank you Jim!
Dry fit. Dry fit. Dry fit. Measure twice cut once. This was a little painful but you worked it out.
I ain't no carpenter! That's for sure! 👍👍
@@TannerFlowers I did the same things, one day soon it will become second nature to ya my friend. Stay focused 👌👍👍
I already retired. Haha. ;)

Respect for not cussing ( at least not on camera) cuz I would have already been cussing up a storm😁
I set a personal record for gd's while making this particular video.
This video has to be sponsored by liquid nails
Those mother *%@!^×s won't give me a penny! Look at the jacked up one I had to build two days ago. It's my latest video. What a mess!
Protect that wood with paint, and then a layer of wire screen. Rats will chew an opening near the crack of that door.

Thank you. I am definitely no carpenter.
Did you add any weatherstripping?
No I never do. I tap my backer boards flush. That way when you close the door, it cinches up nice and tight.
If you had cut the sides they would have Heald the top while you drilled it.
Rookie.
How many rolls o TP per visit?
I have stunk up a lot of 5 gallon buckets!

You was chewing that gum harder than Jason Hensley while you were doing the stone.
It helps with the process!
Where do you live? I need your help!

Thanks Vale! ;)

It wouldn't have been fair if I'd have been blessed with all the gifts. Haha
