Cool video. I am having to do this myself and this has been a great help. My question is, and this my be a dumb one, what if that pipe ever goes bad that is now in the concrete? Or will that pipe go bad? Thanks again for doing part 2 also which I actually watched first.
I have a seripus question. My crawlspace door is not a standard size. I can not even het a sump bucket through it but I really need to install one under my house. I have major moisture amd water issues. How would I enlarge the opening to make it more accessable? I barely fit through it as it is.
One mistake he made he should've built a bulkhead around that pipe it takes the weight off of the pipe, so there's no way the weight of the concrete will crack it. Other than that everything look good!!!
Nice masonary work!
Can I use your vapor barrier under concrete slab on my crawl space ?? Thank you
Watched it to the end. Nice.
Thank you so much!
Is that wood pressure treated and ground contact rated? Why not use resin decking boards that don’t rot for the “threshold”?
Yes it is, you should be able to use any wood designed for ground contact.

I was wondering the same thing. I think you’ll have to dig underneath the footer to remove it.
This was so satisfying to watch. lol We need more! going to be starting my first crawlspace project next week!

Without looking at the door it would be hard to advice you on how to make the opening more accessible.
Stay tuned for part 2 where we install the crawl space door!
know a guy who was cutting with the skill saw like you were, saw jumped sliced his quad and he died..
Since the video was filmed, we have discouraged the use of that method for the skill saw
Im sorry am i ignorant? What kind of nails can you just drive into concrete?
