- The Splatoon 3 Hero Mode has to be BY FAR the best in the series. For a Veteran Player its really nice to see that there are some really challenging levels in the Single Player that are fun to do!

I'm ashamed to say I never figured it out myself and I thought the intended way was just to tank though to the other side, at least I finished the story
The only way to find out is on the Pac-Man level, Callie tells you how to get past the flooders

I hope we get more Deep Cut in the DLC. We can’t let such amazing character designs go to waste!
I actually think we won't get any deep cut in the dlc because we already got a lot of interaction with them and the dlc seem to focus on of the hook
@@genixlefrench9763 We're probably going to get 2 DLCs honestly, one for Off The Hook that maybe focuses on the Chaos/Order 'fight', and one that focuses on Deep Cut and the lore in the scrolls

yeah, stunning flooders is arguably the most well hidden mechanic in the game prior to the required instance in the final gauntlet. It is mentioned once in the pacman inspired level, but only if you get cornered by flooders with the single weapon kit that has lil buddy as the sub. On the flip side, it is not the worst puzzle to exist, as the limited puzzle pieces do most of the work for you. Flooder kills buddy when thrown through or within range of the flooder's path, running through with invincibility frames is possible but unintended (prochara), and there are no other tools at the player's disposal. All that leaves is letting buddy attack the flooder, and any problems with the puzzle are a result of the player overthinking it or trying to brute force a wrong answer.
I lts strange how nobody ever notices the dialogue explaining why deep cut wants to steal things. It’s super heartwarming

I am incredibly glad that i am not the only player whos been playing since the beginning of splat 1 get stuck on the flooder puzzle.
I just damage boosted both times and it worked somehow.

damn it sucks dude couldnt enjoy Hugefry. loved that transformation and it was definitely cute to me
watching a pro player take the same Ls that i did in the story mode made me feel much better abt my splatoon skills for some reason.
Mr Grizz never returned to Earth, and although he longed for death he could never die. In time, Mr. Grizz stopped thinking

I beat the hero mode like a day or two after the game came out, and i finished it and just sat there like "damn... so that's it?" idk why, it just felt like it was missing something. And then it hit me that this campaign was the end of the squidbeak splatoon era of campaigns.. AND THEN the credit song played, and i was finally like "y'know what, that was awesome" Definitely tied with octo expansion imo.. such a wonderful journey :)
can't wait to see what the DLC brings!
This only without any emotional response, even realizing this was the end of this story...
It never tries to be anything else than a silly joke so the only attachment I feel is out of nostalgia and not earned through compelling plot/gameplay
The only thing I think they could've improved on is the character development of Deep Cut and Octavio. I wish we got to see Deep Cut initially reluctant to joining your side before coming to trust you, and I really wish Octavio got more screen time throughout the campaign.
Otherwise though, it was excellent! Gameplay-wise, the campaign was phenomenal, I loved finally seeing and fighting Grizz, and all the new lore provided through the world design, logs, and scrolls was great!

As soon as I got Splatoon 3, I beat the game in 15 lvls excluding bosses. I decided to speedrun the game. With no upgrades.

They really should have made a level where you were forced to learn the flooder trick. As far as I know there is one level where marie mentions it, but you can skip along without learning it.
it’s the pacman level, only if you use the kit with little buddy. so if you use another weapon you miss that smh

Not so fun fact. That shape that little buddy took while fighting grizz is what salmon look like while they're getting ready to mate. So during the fight little buddy is bricked up for the whole thing

I may not have played Splatoon 1 and 2, but I really will miss the Squid Sisters being in the hero modes seeing how Splatoon 3 marks the end of the Squidbeak Splatoon Saga.
It's as if they know it's the end of their saga and they're waving goodbye to everyone who's been with them throughout all 3 games

the issue with the story mode in this game is it tells where to go but never tells you how to get there. With the flooder part, I was stuck for a solid 10 mins before looking up a walkthrough. they treated it like octo expansion without any cannon octolings. imo, the best story mode in the series, 8.5 for me :) loved the squid sisters' cameo and giving backstory to the deep cut. the credits were so cute. missed out with shooting in them though. I love to see DUDE have fun!

to be fair about the flooder thing, literally there's only one place it tells you what to do where only one weapon option has little buddy, if you dont do that specific level a specific way there's nothing to clue you in

The fact it took me 3-4 days to 100% complete the story mode but for dude... I guess he decided to begin later I guess. He's not too far behind. And on top of that the fact he's REALLY good with performing movements in this game gave him the advantage. But anyway I'll just say congrats on finishing the story mode and I bet you enjoyed it as much as we all did. :)

Had the exact same experience. Only what I did was run through and get to the other side. Never threw buddy at them.

Btw, probably someone commented about this. If not the Splatoon 3 Hero Shot does not have increased fire rate. It shoot double bullets.
The song of the Calamari Inkatation they use it everytime in the two previous game too.

I personally enjoyed the story also as I believe it is the best base story the franchise has told to date. I also failed the final phase first time going as I did not know I was supposed to drive it, ha ha. I said the same thing when the little buddy started mega evolving by the Three mix song of calamari intration.

For 12:10, I had the opposite problem. I got my equipment, but I didn't see the vent because that room is really dark.
