I remember the centurion bar at Newcastle central station back in the day. It was always full of BR train drivers having a few pints at the end of a shift. Still in there BR uniforms. Those were the days!
There's 2 pubs on Huddersfield Station. Went to Head of Steam years ago for a cracking jazz night. Had a couple of pints at Dewsbury, but not been to Staylebridge Stantion Buffet. I would also recommend the Station Inn in Marsden, same line. It's not on the platform. but just down the road from the station.
I, going to take my beautiful partner to these places soon I love trains now since I went to London for the first Time these week spent half my time on the underground but surprisingly exciting and fun trying to find your way around the warren !!

The Huddersfield pub is actually the King's Head, other end of the platform to Head of Steam but both still great real ale pubs.
Being a guy from Yorkshire it’s so cool to visit these places and work out the flavours like these two chaps are doing
