i love how hammond often just stands there like watching his parent arguing to divorce hahaha
😂😂 couldn’t have described it more accurately myself
With his huge eyes and short body yea it does seem this way haha
That's offensive to children of divorce, quite frankly.
And that's even funnier. Carry on!
"Dad and dad are arguing again"
-Hammond
He is like. Why did I go to work today.
The hilarious thing is, James was originally knocked back from the job because the producers thought he was “too similar” to Jeremy
Lmao they didnt factor in his ocd cause its hella hilarious to watch
James May refused to participate in Season 1 because he didn't believe in the new format of the program.
@@HyperVegitoDBZ The actual truth
If you just look at the memes and caricatures, they are opposites
@@HyperVegitoDBZ no, he didn’t take part in the first series because he got lost at the 2nd Albert Hall 🤣
James may's obsessive OCD, Jeremy Clarkson's primal cave man thinking and Richard Hammond's banter is what makes the trio so fun to watch 🤣🤣
Saying Obsessive OCD is a little redundant mate, you saying May has Obsessive Obsessive Compulsive Disorder?

Yes
😂😂😂
What does Richard have?
James staring maniacally at Jeremy whilst holding a big ass plank in his hands ready to cave his head in is pure gold
Same with the machete..
@@captin3149 James was genuinely serious in that clip. Not to behead him but the emotion was real. He is deathly afraid of heights - ironically he is a pilot and has flown many times - but being in a car with shit handling on a dirt road 50,000 feet up while you're constantly rammed at speed from behind hits differently.
_"I think you've got something to say to me, haven't you?!"_
Kills me every time 🤣🤣🤣
I remember the bit where they look at him in his tent and he is holding a machete
@@Xtreemo Something along the lines of, "I'm sorry, James. I am a fully rigged, rate A-1, ocean going pillock." 😄😄😄😆😆😆😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣💀
Best insult I've ever heard.
"LOOK WHAT YOU'VE DONE TO MY BLOODY SHED, MAN!"
Fucking cracks me up every time. There's so much genuine anger in that one line.
“It’ll buff out” just takes the cherry
And then "is this airing at 10 o'clock on BBC?"
"Yes"
"Are we past the watershed?"
"Yes"
"You're a fu-"
*cut to next scene*
"James is killing Jeremy... I think things are going well!" 😂
"LOOK WHAT YOU'VE DONE TO MY BLOODY SHED MAN!!"

I liked where James asked if the show was being broadcast after the watershed, then swore.
@@kael2450 "That'll buffed out"
Lol
“i’m so unspeakably outraged with you” yet it sounds like it’s out of a childrens book 😂
Quite frankly most of these arguments are purely based on James May's OCD.
Which is pure gold!
And Jeremy knowing exactly how to push his buttons
It's pretty much not so different from the James May OCD compilation
Well, a combination of his OCD and Jeremy's complete lack of patience; quite literally the unstoppable force meeting the immovable object.
Having grown up and matured watching this show, I now realise that James was very correct in everything he did.
Nah not quite. The scoreboard one was genuinely irrelevant as they were doing different things so James didn't necessarily need to do that
@@liamjames395 true, however that was all set up and scripted. Even though they said it wasn’t scripted, you can easily tell it was all premeditated. For the GT stuff a lot of what he did was not from him, however with TG being less scripted, it was more him and more off his own back. For example the “taste the difference cheese” analogy he have while talking about a Ferrari on a news segment in TG, it made perfect sense, even though Hammond and Clarkson were ridiculing it. Stuff he did was good, not stuff he was told to do, generally.
Except navigation.
@@intorsusvolo7834 “Maidstone” “You mean Maidenhead” yes very true
what about the seasalt thing
I'm totally with James on that first argument "It does matter it's people's lunches!"
He knew the consequences if somebody didn't get their lunch
I mean, Jeremy himself proved that right a couple years prior....
@@captin3149 yeah, that was the joke
Ends up being a moot point because he ended up being the one that didn't make it because he got lost.
There were people waiting at the station who would make sure it gets delivered to the right person.
@@farhanatashiga3721 I don't think leaving with all the time would have helped him at all.
James' and Jeremy's chemistry has always been my favorite part of the shows (No disrespect for Hammond, I love and would never remove him from them).
You know what, for years and years I've been asking myself who my favorite one is and I couldn't decide between the 3 of em, but now that you put it that way I think you helped me decide 😂
Who’s Hammond?
@@Mthomas71188 the short one who crashes everything he has driven in also called hamster

@@deveshshah2963 he also can be pretty funny remember that episode from tg where he was trapped on a Mountain or that episode where he yells and shouts whille on a bicycle
This is what new top gear cannot ever recreate. You can have every hypercar on the show but nothing beats two blokes arguing.
the new hosts are far too safe and over-friendly it’s just not good telly
@@badtotheappendixx it's alright tbf just not a patch on these 3 - I'd be happy if they took the racer out lol

Bet you like watching two blokes 'arguing'.
I love how Hammond is like the child in their dysfunctional marriage
Yeah good way of putting it
Simply the most entertaining television series of all time.
The most entertaining television series... IN THE WORLD
No contest. I've seen these clips so many times and I still lose it every time.
"I am so unspeakably outraged at you."
- James May
I love this man
I appreciate how calm James is after Clarkson gets him with the hose. Like he's dealing with an unruly toddler that doesn't know any better. Which, it's Clarkson. . .
Even better, he mentions on the DVD commentary that he was honestly close to considering punching Clarkson for that but stopped because of the camera. Seemed calm on the surface but was really fed up underneath.
I think I caught a bit of James saying "think how fussy YOU are about those things..." around 0:28 in regards to people's lunches. It's funny knowing that Jeremy slugged a producer over lunch or dinner. This Trio just gets funnier and funnier, even unwittingly. A Masterpiece.
"You're not building your shed, you're naming your tools!" 😆😆😆
This video in a nutshell is Hammond standing in the middle of James and Jeremy as they try to rip each other's head off lol.
As someone else described, he's like a kid watching his parents argue for a divorce. And I can see why, his short stature and large eyes still make him look young even though he has a goatee now
I think Hammond sums it up perfectly:
"This could go on..."
This is what real friendships looks like. Honest and open. They express themselves but don't take offence. It's heartwarming to watch really. They're like brothers.
I love how the two blokes with shovels at 2:57 are practically doing nothing
About right for a labourer in the UK
lol i think what they were trying to do is loosen the sod and make a patch of dirt for gardening but yeah basically just cocking about
@@MotoHikes probably any labourer with a shovel anywhere mate ahah
Even better that the one with the white tracksuit is top gear producer andy willman
One of them is Andy Wilman, the genius behind the show.
"I'm looking for the sodding socket thing that you need to take that out! Do you know where it is? Do you know where it is?"
"No! No!"
"Do you know what it looks like?"
"Yes!"
"No you don't!"
- my 2 brain cells arguing with each other
James: I'm clever and I know things, I like art, science and manly things and walk with an air of decorum and British grace.
Jezza: Brown food, brown drink, speed, explosions and the Jaagggg!!
You forgot one important thing: POWAAAAAAH!
I'd have assumed that May going at Clarkson with a machete would be considered a little beyond "bickering" 😊
And the throwing of a rock at Clarkson. May looked genuinely pissed off at that moment.
One of the few times he’s thought of killing Jeremy
Putting a machete against someone's face is a VERY convincing argument that they should not bump your car again on the death road.
Being a mechanic I feel May's pain with the missing socket. My tool box has to be organized just right. Jeremy would drive me nuts to lol 😆
he already does lol
Like what people say:
James: oldest child with ocd
Jeremy: middle child who looks sensible but likes to wreck havoc
Richard: the hyperactive youngest kid
All of them are chaotic, but only jeremy is chaotic evil. Legit.
James: chaotic good
Richard: chaotic neutral
Jeremy: chaotic evil
It's funny because Jeremy is the oldest.
As a middle child, James has middle child energy. Jeremy is definitely the oldest child of the bunch.
what exactly is a "fully rigged, rate A1 ocean-going pillock"?
Something spectacular I believe
means Clarkson is really good at being a pillock
Those are all Nautical terms to describe the sea worthiness of a ship
Not the pillock bit obviously
Well if you're being literal about it, precisely that, I would've thought
"Now their having a waterfight"😂
“That’s just childish and doesn’t solve the argument” 😂
9:35 I have no idea why this clip is funnier than all the clips in this video. The absolute sarcasm in that delivery was flawless
James May is my spirit animal.
same
And even now, watching these old clips over and over again is about a million times better than the 'new' Top Gear!
Poor Hammond.
He comes across as the long-suffering child whose parents won't stop arguing :(
They are the squabbling siblings of Top Gear. Wouldn't get that on new Top Gear.
Wouldn’t know a thing about new Top Gear…. As far as I’m concerned the show ended when these 3 left and/or were fired….
@@nobodyspecial6436 well said, I havent watched the new top gear, and by the looks of things its crap, i'm going to watch the grand tour as it looks funny

What?
STOP FILLING!
I'M LOOKING FOR THE SODDING SOCKET THING YOU NEED... 😂
8:23 That is the single greatest statement James May has ever made.
James is usually the one who is right though and he's just trying to rein in Jeremy's childishness and stop him doing something stupid because of it
The poor bloke lost his job at the BBC because of Clarkson's childishness.
@@MaggotDiggo1 he didn’t, they left by choice after jeremy got fired
@@rhyshenderson3643 Technically yes, the other two left by their own accord. In practice, they had little other option. The show wouldn't have had the same success without Clarkson.
My argument boils down to: If Clarkson hadn't been a wanker, the three of them (May included) would still be doing Top Gear at the BBC.
@@MaggotDiggo1 I mean he only got fired because the general population think he’s an idiot, so they took the side of the guy he had the fight with, who punched clarkson and didn’t get fired.
@@MaggotDiggo1 While it might not be true, they've all mentioned how liberating it's been not working for BBC
James and Jeremy are like a married couple when they argue, and Hammond is like their child who stays quiet and occasionally tries to stop them from fighting.

"Yes"
"Is it beyond the watershed?"
"Yes"
"You're a fu-"
0:52 Damit! I spat my drink out 😆
9:35
Easily my favorite clip lmao
10:03 "That's just childish and doesn't solve the argument!" Kills me everytime
The thing is, they are two different extremes and it's hilarious to watch. I know I would get frustrated at Mays naming spaners and inability to hurry up and I would get equally annoyed at Clarksons shoot first, ask questions later attitude 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
There's also the fact that Clarkson has said before that he doesn't respond well to shouting, but he's the first to shout orders 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
"Now they're having a water fight. Gentleman!"
These guys are like 3 brothers: James is the responsible, short-tempered oldest, Hammond the mediating, emotionally neglected middle child, Clarkson the spoiled and annoying, yet strangely charismatic youngest.
I'm pretty sure Jeremy is the oldest
@@kinnikuboneman Chronologically yes. He's about 13 mentally though haha
I would put hammond as the youngest whos just happy to be there
Speaking as a middle child of 3 lads (men, really, my younger brother is 23 and my older brother is a parent), I’d say their real ages line up with how me and my brothers tend to be, my older brother being a bit daft and impatient, me being pedantic, and my little brother either giving out one liners or just being happy to be there and be the little one (figuratively speaking, anyway, i’m the tallest and my and my little brother are noticeably taller than our older brother)
Love how hammond is always like the child stuck inbetween two parents arguing 😂
i can relate to Hammond. it's like that with my parents.
4:00 "I'm sorry James, I am a fully rigged, rate A1, ocean-going pillock" 😂😂😂😂😂
The dog pissing on the food got me dying.
In a land full of rampant disease and rampant apathy about said disease, a drop of dog piss is the last of their worries.
5:50
CLARKSON!!!!
2:57 I never noticed it before but Hammond has a wee on the tree in the background
James knows that organization is the key. I built 2 bookcases and the first one took about 10 hours and almost all of the cuss words known to man. The time I organized things, took 5 hours and only one
"Fully rigged rate a1 ocean going pillock" is now my go-to insult
It still surprises me how James managed to hold himself from bludgening Jeremy in the head with a shovel
3:18 that deadpan reaction XD
I feel for James, I really do.
The trio is history, change my mind. Love these to bits
Jeremy: “You don’t need a brush”
*Worried Canadian noises*
Honestly the shed being destroyed several times was one of the funniest things they ever did, and it wasn't even a Top Gear episode!
These 3 together are fantastic 😅
Honestly, I have to thank my younger brother for introducing me to Top Gear. I cannot get enough from these three laughing at them bickering.
7:05 me arguing with my thesis supervisor about the practicalities of using table salt mixed with water vs using sea salt mixed with water to raise brine shrimp for an experiment to test toxicity, then later having the same argument of setting an agar medium to grow algae on
3:44 just makes me laugh so much !
never stop watching a compilation of this trio so fast to see another compilation of this trio well... in this case duo
" You cant build a tend by shouting "
Should be a calendar quote.
This is the happiest you will ever see them. They are like an old married couple
Most petty thing is Jeremy throwing the rock back 😂
I’ve been a big fan of top gear for a very long time.. I didn’t realise how much they two actually bickered together until seeing this compilation lol
Hi Niks V, I discovered your channel this year and I’d like to say thank you for making me laugh with these compilations you make. They are brilliant and I admire the fact you keep finding new subjects even though there are only a certain number of shows to choose from. Keep it up and a new year mate. Cheers
2:08 my favourite bit 😂😂
3:08
Jeremy: shotgun
James: leVEL
I'm surprised this video isn't longer lmao, great video 👍
Look at my bloody shed MANNN!
POV: your last two brain cells arguing
My preference in Entertainment comes to the point where I enjoy watching and listening to a bunch of middle aged men bicker about various things. No complaints so far.
3:56 - me trying to make small talk
This is my favourite compilation EVER 🤣🤣🤣🤣
JAMES STOP FILING !
I am a fully rigged rate a1 ocean going pillock
It's basically a smart logical old man vs young ADHD artistic rebel kid (even though the old man I'd younger than the kid), of course they're not going to get along. & Sometimes the young one watches on caught between the two bit knowing what to make if it, how to behave, whose side to take our having to be the mediator
Build, BUILD THE SHED!
I am building the shed!
You’re not building the shed, you’re naming your tools!
Best thing I've seen all day
0:20 this dog kills me everytime🤣
Every SINGLE time I come to watch anything these are in it never fails to be the best thing ever
JAMES!!!….STOP FILING!!!!
I never realised before, just how many places, all over the world, where they argued (-nice editing, BTW👍)
It's also interesting to note, that all over the world, wherever they argued, people would stop and stare, or just get on with their jobs! (-nice editing on this, too👍)
This is just pure gold
4:40 I think it was the most unscripted scene from this trio
4:58 is the best one out of them all in opinion pure and clarksons reaction was great 😂
Reminds me of arguing with my brothers
Love you guys
