This is the best version of Aladdin by far. The style matches the movie, the gameplay is faster paced and flows much more nicely. The music is actually made up of songs from the movie as well. The SNES version is weirdly slow, floaty and oddly different in art style. Not fun to play at all by comparison. Anyone who says otherwise is just being a fanboy. The vast majority of games were better on SNES but not this one.

I would say it's nigh impossible to exploit the glitches like they do in a TAS because of the fact that a TAS involves slowing the game down to be the speed of molasses in january as well as the constant use of savestates(the ability to save at ANY point in the game thanks to emulators). You probably COULD do it non tool assisted, but it would take better timing and aiming than god to pull off. ...Or the ability to beat battletoads.
This game was very imaginative.. good times. One of many hundreds.. if not thousands.. but still very cool stuff. This game had that.. IM A FUCKING PRINCE attitude with it ^^

This person could have a better time on their TAS Video if he didn't take the rope ride to get the hearts before the boss with the barrels. just trying to help
wow movie games like these were way more epic than todays crappy quicktime events movie games.. also.. playing these games at the age of 6 were a huge stress on me... being 19 now seeing past the 3rd level for the first time good stuff
Syphist Prime why watching a tool-assisted run of the game destroys your childhood ? you can find some pro gamers at arcade center who has almost TAS-like skills and beat the game with just 1~2 coins.
Syphist Prime i watch speedruns for the same reason like you, but i don't consider it destroys my childhood. I rather surprise that there was a crazy way to beat the game that i never realized back in the day.

I was always a big fan of this game. It was kinda Prince of Persia light.
Plus, the 8-bit renditions of the music from the film are awesome.
I used to play this on the PC when I was younger. Back in the horrible 386 days. Sweet playthrough though.
That's mainly it. Tool Assists make it so you can do things that you wouldn't normally ever be able to do regularly therefore speeding up your time.

This looks more "like a cartoon" than the SNES version. As far as watching the gameplay it seems tedious and repetitive even on this speed run.

WOW you skipped the Carpet Ride! at the caverns I need to do that for my speedrun.
There is a way you can make the rope go straight up instead of taking the long journey, but I can't remember how.
What's the difference between a Tool Assisted Speedrun (TAS) and a normal one, aside from glitch exploitation?
i remember this game at the dentist when i was little, it was right outside at the waiting lobby, it made the whole ordeal less painful
