+opsimathics A lot of games behave strangely when you press left and right at the same time. It's a common oversight by programmers because the physical construction of the controller doesn't allow you to do that.
@@soggytoast111 I hated Battletoads, because of that glitch when you pressed left and right at the same time, it started to walk upwards which is fine on a 2.5D stage, but on a 2D, side view stage, your height is shifted and you weren't able to hit the enemies. This glitch happened a lot on the rat chase stage where I had to switch directions fast and of course I accidently pressed the two direction at the same time.
Growing up, I could never beat the pirate ship. However, it looks like Konami totally phoned in the rest of the game, so younger me should feel good that he didn't miss that much.
