I know, riding those ostriches was such a pain, very inaccurate hit boxes on those nests. The monkey puzzles weren't too bad, but still slow and annoying compared to the rest of the game. Luckily "BARRY" was helpful. Genesis owners got level select without any cheat codes, but couldn't select bonus levels and I think had to play on hard mode only if they used level select.
Great run! Fun to watch, but the execution of the ostrich-ride in the second level makes me hate myself, that looks so easy 😆. Also really liked the stampede execution 👍 Quick note, the last two links in the description have the closed bracket ")" as part of the link, which kills them.
I used to get stuck at climbing the waterfall when I was a kid but the ending broke my patience after years of trying to beat this game I could never figure out how to throw scar off the cliff and then I did it by accident mashing buttons. Best accidental win ever lol this was years after my Genesis died and I was playing with emulator and save states but still a win haha
I did beat this game (on DIFFICULT) as a child; however, it took me a LOT of practice. I wish I could get it to run on my SNES Classic Mini. This is a game that I always enjoy playing, no matter the difficulty.
You know, Most people couldn't beat the SNES version, But I beat it without losing any lives, The Genesis version that I think is hard to accomplish a no death run on it. Nice run btw!
4:13 I love how you took damage 3 times on purpose, just to show off the power of TAS. 5:25 What a glitch chaos this map is. 6:44 You make him look like a total fool. Hes supposed to be the boss but he cant even get first to his own top.
I wonder if Asmongold's Chat is going to let him know about this considering he's watched a WR Speedrun of this game prior. Now he'll get to see what a TAS can do.
You sir Are an absolute pro at speed running. I love your videos. I watched your videos where you speed ran. Aladdin The Jungle Book. And the Lion King and Toy Story. Ice speed run the Lion King and Aladdin. On the Nintendo switch version. And the Xbox One version. I watched your older speed run Sega Genesis Speed run of the Lion King on difficult mode. And I notice you weren't a very good pro back in the day but now you are. I think you should. Do another speed run of the Genesis version of the Lion King on difficult mode agand just to show how more pro you are.

A TAS is a Tool Assisted Speedrun where they put in allot of inputs in an emulator to create a theoretical perfect Speedrun! Some tricks done in this video isn't even possible for a human to pull off.

as a kid i never even got past the stupid monkeys. most infuriating puzzle ever!
The difficulty was designed to prevent people finishing the game within a single rental period.
This game was so ridiculously hard as a kid. And this speedrun just obliterates it!

Probably one of the hardest games known to man
The SNES version is even harder because it has glitches in it that make it almost impossible to beat
That puzzle section drives me mad every single time I play it

Some of the skips I recognize from speedruns, like the leopard throw skip.
I knew about 2 skips in Exile, but that was a Glitch Party :D Awesome Run!

I really wanted to love and speedrun this game. But the freaking level with the monkeys made it impossible! Man if only that level was made easier 😭
