Multi-purpose machines like this are fine, if you’re just a hobbyist. But no machine shop would buy one. To get good results, professionals buy a dedicated Mig, and then a Tig, and then a plasma cutter. Those are three completely different machines.
Depends on what your usage profile is. If it's a daily use, production dependant piece of equipment, you need dedicated tools. If it's there as a piece of support equipment, a 4in1 makes perfect sense.

So he’d spend a few months learning how to MIG weld, and by the time he’s finished, he will have mastered one skill. After that, he would move to TIG. The danger of multi-purpose machines for newbies is that the student will attempt to switch haphazardly from one type of weld to another, but he won’t ever truly master a particular skill. So I guess it depends on who’s buying the machine. An experienced welder, or someone who’s just beginning.

First combo I seen like this was the Miller unit. It took up a coffee table sized area. I asked the sales rep. Why it was so large when it could use the same circuitry. The cost was about $4000. Back in 2010.
Nah it looks like it will weld aluminum bro , it’s got AC and even pulse for thin metals . Not a bad machine probably the best Chinese Multiprocess I’ve seen they actually has AC DC tig and plasma together , if it had mig too it would be ungodly useful . I don’t mind Chinese machines but I try to take it easy on them and never run them on 120v as that’s terrible for the IGBTs and lifespan of the machine. As long as it lasts and works it’s a massive bargain that’s great for a portable machine to run a repair business for ex say you working as a millwright in a big plant , carrying this tiny box around that can do it all basically is really handy . Take care of your machines and they will take care of you ! Best wishes
Hello. I just bought this machine and I am trying to learn welding aluminum. Could you explain to me the ac balance knob? I understand that for aluminum welding the balance should be at around 30% but I don't understand where that is on this knob. Thank you

@@MakeAndTest I've been a fitter welder over 45yrs have seen welding machines go from huge boxes to little nails boxes my little welder small goes to 200 amps weld all day 6mm rods it goes to show what inverter technology comes to .I've seen what works and what doesn't. The Stahlwerk range use mosfets as opposed to the more reliable igbt's and do not last long. I have owned a multi-process one and it died within 6 months.
It states on their website that this one is no Mosfet and uses the top of the line IGBT, i wander how reliable this one is as im thinking of buying a tig, any coments you have regarding Stahlwerk equipment quality?
@@norberth6225 If you are buying a dedicated machine i.e. TIG/MMA and it is IGBT then go for it. Their machines are decent now that they've ditched the Mosfets. Mine was great until a mosfet blew and then another, until it was completely useless. If I had a choice though I would go for an R_Tech TIG machine. Mine is the 255EXT and it is awesome, although not the cheapest of machines, they do deliver and the after-sales is exemplary.

Yosep, el corte plasma utiliza sólo aire comprimido, sin embargo se recomienda quitarle la humedad a través de un filtro.
