While there are people in every country that are a bit insular in their views, my experience of visiting the USA (I live in the UK) is that there are a lot more people like that in the USA than in other countries. Geography may be partially to blame but thank goodness that our TV news programmes here in the UK are required to give a politically balanced view of news reporting. Mind you, there are still people in the UK who think our last prime minister but one, Boris Johnson, didn't lie to our parliament when the overwhelming evidence suggests otherwise.
