It is usually a six piece bluegrass family band. There is a brother, a friend, and mom sitting this one out. The three girls shown here are the sisters in the band.

The full band consists of the three sisters in this video, Katie (Violin), Ellen (Banjo), Julie (Mandlin), their Mom Karen (Bass), their brother Matt (Guitar), and family friend Emmett (Dobro). You want to see something real unusual...check out their version of Bohemian Rhapsody!!!

That song was on one of Andy Griffith”s albums and they did do it on his show. We would do the save thing with string and bacon. Catch a bucket full and then just put them back in the pond. Good times!!

It was on Andy Griffith and repeated within the last month on his main rerun version, done informally by Opie and Andy and maybe others as I barely noticed even though I had heard it already from the Petersen's well-appreciated collection of some of their performances at their show in Branson and others done just for the RUclips folk.
Please do try to make them famous as they merit more attention than they are receiving even though they have received millions.
Now review a more popular revision of a popular hit song not expected to be covered by bluegrass band: "Bohemian Rhapsody" or pick some other top top as the band is full of music composer and arrangers to the three sisters, the dobro player Emmett Franz and the mother who has a college degree in music and trumpet was her primary instrument which Karen performs on a little song by the eldest daughter found by searching for "The Ring Song" Petersens. It was written by the vocal performer of it who now is on the wrong side of 30 and has proven real picky as to who provides the ring. We all wish her and her sisters, their brother, and their dobro adopted one all the happiness in their personal lives, and much more fame for all their efforts in the past into the future of their musical career and careers if they go solo, duet or trio and give up this group (which would be a shame).
You should hear whatever they place as an epilogue, as it some times is as worthy as their main performance.
