One of my favorite bands ever. The LP version of this is astoundingly good. I saw them a few times in London back in the day. Brilliant live band. Field Of Glass is my favourite track. If you're looking for lesser known bands from back in the day I'd recommend British band Screaming Blue Messiahs. Three very tight musicians who could flick a crowd's switches. Someone To Talk To reflects what I loved about them.
Another band from WA. Driving any large distances here in Australia, there are plenty of wide open roads, some more remote than others. It can catch a lot of tourists by surprise. My hubby and I were travelling to Coral Bay (North of WA, closer to Exmouth). From the highway, the turn off to the destinaion, is still quite a distance. We were following another car which spun out. Up came a cloud of smoke, as they had deviated off the road onto the gravel. I would have crashed into them, but my other half used to race bikes in the bush. His quick reaction saved us that day. They were probably driving tired which is a big contributor to raod crashes here.
One of my favourite bands from that part of the world is Eskimo Joe. (actually from Freemantle). They ha,ve many great track eg . From the Sea, Sarah, London bombs, Liar (interesting vid), Black Fingernails Red Wine etc. another huge rabbit hole!
I fell in love with David McComb a few times in my life. Sadly, he died in 1999 aged 36. The band were pretty esoteric. Try out Triffids - Goodbye Little Boy nzoz1989
