I make a similar recipe but it gets a little grainy after a few weeks (harmless but an annoying texture). I think it is because of the Shea butter. Have you seen this happen and how to prevent it? Thanks.
Absolutely, I think you're right that it's most likely the shea butter. Generally shea butter is more volatile than other butters and is prone to "graininess" when heated. Gently heating will help but depending on the quality of shea butter it might not be able to take any heat without altering it's texture. If you still have this problem, I'd recommend using a different butter like cocoa or mango if a recipe calls for it to be melted, and only use the shea butter when no heat is involved. It might also be due to the wax you used not being truly melted - sometimes small grains of wax can cause the final balm to be a little grainy. I hope that helps 😊

Shea butter unrefined is too strong..l.dont think you can find a solution for that. Use refined one, but then it loses its nutrients. Depends on what you priority is. I use mango butter refined but only coz it is impossible for me to find it unrefined. Good luck with everything!🙂

How much does this make? All the ingredients except the vitamin e oil and EO are 95g, melted and set, does this make 95g of balm? This recipe is not available on your formula calculator
Man I'm so disappointed in this formula it really works. I made a batch about a month ago to add to my store and the recent cold weather (Florida) caused the verse wax to solidify I opened a tin to use and I was totally grossed out looking at the beeswax pellets sitting in my balm with all my luxurious oils 😞 I was able to reheat it in the microwave and it's good now but I certainly can't sell this 😑
There is no such thing as a vanilla oil. Vanilla is water soluble and REAL vanilla will always come as an absolute. Vanilla is not an "essential oil" if it is real. The tip for the eyebrows is great as a higher hard oil content for something like this could be a great beard oil for men so eyebrows are just as good to use it on!
