Buzz seems to have issues with many musicians. I live for the Melvins but maybe his squalls with fellow musicians says more about him.
I would tend to agree with you here. He’s a little prickly. Love Melvins though, ace band, amazing songs!

Melvins fan here, big time! But yeah, he acts like he doesn't like so many other musicians. It's crazy.
There's a bigger picture here though that this video isn't addressing. Buzz has talked about how him and Dave were friends and one day Dave changed his number and dropped contact with him before he ever said anything. He talks about how Dave then only ever hit him up to drag him out in public for what he felt was 'punk credibility' then would go silent afterwards. I get people grow apart but to not even be on any terms with someone that helped you get to where you are for absolutely nothing in return is pretty messed up on Dave's part.
That giant monster thing complaing about the grammys and Dave was spot on
I tried but the Foo Fighters are just bland to me. At least there’s still one former member of Sunny Day Real Estate in the band. Top band that didn't last too long.
Man, now I just miss Dave Brockie.
I like Dave but do people really think Foo Fighters are that great of a band? If it was not for Nirvana’s premature ending, they would hardly be a Rock n Roll powerhouse.

Dave Grohl has an amazing legacy in music and seems to be one of nicest guys.

Hilarious someone makes a completely nonsensical comment pretending it has some kind of great meaning, as if success and intelligence somehow goes hand in hand. Success tends to be admired more because of social hierarchy and wanting the approval and acceptance of ones peers.

@@matthewche yep aware of that but, my point is, the Foos would not exist if not for the talents of Grohl. Nothing to do with Kurt. Kurt died a long time ago by his own misuse so what Grohl has accomplished since then is all his own doing 🤷♂️
Dave is Ok, but I just don't get the mega fame he enjoys. He was the drummer in Nirvana and Kurt is much more famous, and Foo Fighters has a handful of good songs. Dave has no business rubbing elbows with the very top musicians in Rock, but somehow he is always in the middle of it. To me, he comes across as someone that sold his soul in which Kurt was the price for it.
How was Kurt the price?
Well c'mon, how much fame do you need? Nirvana was a massive band and he definitely had his part in their sound, I don't think their music would have had the same impact with a sloppy drummer, Foo Fighters were big in the 2000s and still are as a touring band, he plays all the instruments (watch his "Play" video), had a s**tload ofwell-known songs with his current band and has collaborated with everybody from the current US rock/metal scene to Paul McCartney himself. As a fan I agree that his media presence can be a bit too much when they are coming up with a new record or project but that has been the same with Metallica and every huge band with charismatic frontmen that are not afraid of the public ...
@@DoNuT_1985 He is like Howard Stern, in that he was very much against all the elitist bullshit, and then he became apart of it. He became everything his Nirvana self would have hated. So he sold out to the very thing he hated and it got him fame to the point where he finds himself in the middle of everything. Once you have that kind of fame, it's hard to speak out about the things that go on in the industry, because you risk losing it. I don't dislike Dave, I just think he's done some things to get where he is that many people wouldn't like.
@@itsalwayssomething7490 Yeah, well in the end, Nirvana were on MTV etc, so it's not that they were an anti-establishment DIY band ... He does what he loves and isn't shy of promoting it and collaborating with the whole world, living the dream ... not everybody's piece of cake but legit when you're a busy musician.

I'm not a Grohl guy. He's a middling drummer as well as a middling front man. He and the Foos just aint my thing. I do appreciate that he continues the genre of Rock'n'roll.

Dave is an “easy target” for a lot of hate simply because…well….hes been at the top more or less since Buzz hooked him up with Kurt and Chris.
To me,…the thing is…Dave KNOWS damn good and well how lucky he is….and that’s evident in the way the man conducts himself. He’s humble. He’s charitable. He’s cool with fans 99 percent of the time…he’s a good dude.
