Gary, I realize this video is from 2 years ago but I hope you filled this turning with your wife’s favorite flowers and gave this to her… another beautiful piece Gary, thanks for sharing
Thank you Michael. Not sure if I did or not but I have one in the lathe that for sure I will fill it with the favorite flowers she grew. Thanks for watching, Gary
Good evening, Gary. You have me wanting to try all of your cool turnings. I may, someday, make an attempt on one of them but in reality, just continue to be amazed at watching you. Looking forward to your next, make Ray grin, video.
Thank you very much Ray. I think someday you will give it a go. I have more like this planned but will be doing a few simpler ones as well. Take care, Gary
Absolutely brilliant, Gary! But then that’s what we expect of you, isn’t it? 😃😃👍👍 Really enjoyed this video as always, buddy. Stay safe and well and try to stay warm out there in Oregon. All the best, …..Gord
Thanks so much Gord. Well I have a simple one coming. Needed to rest my head and my foot. Did not want to over use either one LOL. It was warm today but it is supposed to get into the mid 20's coming soon. Take care up your way my friend, Gary
Hi Gary... Well you said that you planned a fancy glue up and you haven't dissapointed us... Great idea and execution... well done.. Take care...All the best.....Andy
Thanks Andy. I did have these glued up before the first tangent staves I did. I had and option of giving this the same shape or cut the pieces into thinner strips. Glad I save this one for the second. Now for something different on #3. Take care, Gary
I really, really appreciate that you do not play crappy music in the background so that I can hear and concentrate on the content. Great videos, you are a very talented man and you are quickly becoming a hero of mine.
Thank you very much. Back when I started making videos I had no idea what I wanted to do. I had music in a few of them but found it to be a lot of work just putting it in. And it takes away from what I try to do with my videos. I appreciate you like them just like they are. Thanks for watching, Gary
hello friends greetings healthy and successful always. thank you for sharing knowledge and always faithfully watching your latest stuff I like your ideas
Mama Mia! That vase is absolutely gorgeous! Fantastic work on your part by matching the different color woods. It came out so beautifully! Great job! Bravo!
Gary, I have decided you are a Wood Artis and a Mathematician all in one person. Enjoy watching how you angle cut the wood The tight joint are amazing! Keep your videos' coming Mr. Woodartmatician lol
Well thank you very much John. It really is the only math I am pretty good with. But I used it daily at work. Thank you for the new title. Phil started calling me Professor. Sheesh what next LOL Take care, Gary
Thank you Michael, very happy you liked it. Just plan ahead and do it step by step. This is only the second one I have done. The first worked perfect as well. This one is the same idea but the making it was lots different. Thanks for watching, Gary
Wow, professor, another great glue-up and turning! You certainly have tight joints down pat! Your thought processes make me a little dizzy, though, much like some of your pieces do. You also have a patent on perfect finishes! Really a great job, my friend! I was also in the shop on Super Bowl Sunday! Hey, what's with the short sleeves? You guys having summer down there, already? Take good care, buddy and keep'em coming! Phil
Well thank you Phil! It's really crazy how easy it is to get good joints doing this. They sort of just fit by themselves when tilted. But these fit good straight up and down so I felt good about it. As I recall it was a little cold that day but I really hate wearing long sleeves. I may own 1 long sleeve shirt that probably does not fit anymore LOL. I will break down and wear a sweat shirt when it is really cold but there will be a short sleeve on under it. Looking the weather today it looks like short sleeves from here on out. But it is supposed to get in the 20's this week. Be well my friend, Gary
