Love mine. Best router table one can buy.

This is very well thought out. I think Its to bad that people miss the point that most of festool's stuff is geared toward portability, one efficient system, and taking out in the field though...I think the mft Router table may be my pick-but such a difficult choice!

Morton, good job with the review and demo.
This is on my radar as I've begun acquiring Festool equipment as needed.
    Thanks.

the table seems small, and 1600.00 woooweee, but I'd sure like the slider.

Fence adjustment is a joke. Side by side with a Incra this thing looks comedic.

Lamentable, à 2800 euros en France il y à encore des fans (.) pour l'acheter, c'est vraiment une fascination...

You lost me after the first min. For that kind of money you can geta power lift and have money leftover for bits.

Looks and sounds flimsy, light ,every thing on it seams flimsy.i like the slider tho.twist knobs are kinda cheap looking and also kinda silly if you can work above table when changing bits but u have to lock it on the bottom ( my router locks when its all the way up )for that money it should be better quality and not so flimsy.

Its a really good portable router table...but...
    1. NEVER bottom out a router bit, or even drill bit as well. Insert as deep as it can go, then pull it out no more than 3 millimeters from bottom. Why? In case it seizes from grit or anything else, you can tap bit gently with rubber or wood mallet to release the seized bit.
    .
    2. Too bad FESTOOL does not have a ruler adjustment knob like the KREG. Another FESTOOL design team failure.
    .
    3. The PRESS DOWN FIXTURE KNOB, which is large, should be used on all the adjustment knobs of the router table. Why? Many woodworkers are aged...and their hands and fingers are not as strong as when they were young. An added feature could be a hex knob stem on al knobs. Why? If your fingers or hands are tired, woodworkers can use a wrench to loosen tight knob. Another FESTOOL design team failure.
    .
    4. REDUCER RINGS would be a lot better if they locked in, instead of being just inserted. Another FESTOOL design team failure.
    .
    5. Top of table should have all exposed openings, like the raising and lowering handle lever, have a coveŕ, to keep dust, and sawdust out. Another FESTOOL design team failure.
    .
An last...get yourself an old fashioned horse hair counter duster brush to brush sawdust off the table.

Good explanation, but.....I wish he'd stop always saying: "I'm just going to GO AHEAD" every time he does any action. It's very annoying. Why say: " I'M GOING TO GO AHEAD" and just say what you're going to do??????
