Yeah Richard is without a doubt the worst player and has the worst view points outta anyone on this channel, I watch all the time and I'm ALWAYS to myself like STFU Richard 😂😂😂
Richard will never spend his removal, until he dies and says how bad single target removal is as it does not save you.
Richard don't wanna spend resources when other people can do it instead! sometimes it doesn't work though..
I think he just didn't want to be the target. If he did cast it crim would've killed him so it was a smart play in the end

I loved it when Skrelv bit Gollum’s hand in The Hobbit. One of my favorite scenes ❤
3:47 YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! That was me! I was the Feldon player from Command Fest Orlando that has seen every Commander Clash and got to Clash On with Crim! And now I hear it make its way into an episode!?!?!?!? That's awesome!!! And despite popular belief, I was not Tomer in disguise (Least, you can't prove it). Overall, had a great time jamming with Crim! CLASH ON!!!!
Am I the only one who noticed that right after Richard said the "riders of Rohan are lost" and Tomer said that "the bauble will help them find their way" he drew the riders of Rohan
The best thing about "clash on!" is that it adds stakes to the game. Also seeing Crim/Seth dying on the inside every time they have to say it is funny. Sweet sweet suffering.
Yeah, the best thing is seeing them cringe.
After making the ghost people reference so many times Seth absolutely has to do a King of the Oathbreakers commander deck for the meme!

I lol'd so hard when Seth was like "The Grandchildren, poke poke poke". So accurate
I think the most poetic thing is that the elf deck that's based around debating and discussion and delaying decisions, leads to them being so inactive that they timed out instead of actually losing.
The last hour of this game is maybe the hardest ive every laughed at commander clash lol. The endless wraths, the broken deals, just so perfect
What an incredible game. As a LOTR fans i will rewatch it again. And watch the extended version afterwards.

RE: Sol Ring, I think it USED to decrease your odds of winning. However, the format has sped up a hell of a lot since the time those stats were calculated, so now jumping those two turns ahead and getting a 4 mana commander T2 or a 5cmc commander T3 is now significantly more powerful. (T2-3 Chulane or Korvold will absolutely wreck house, after all!)

Honestly, I'd love to watch a second episode with these 4 precons! Maybe shuffle, who is playing what? But one match does not quench my thirst for this match up.

it probably does better on youtube and means they don't have to commission an art every week
@jeffe2267 so it takes work away from an artist. That's a plus to you? Or is the good part appealing to the lowest common denominator? There's a lot of other ways to do that.
They still use unique art every episode so far but it's shown like two seconds before the start of the game.

OK! I am actually a field of ruin fan. I really like it in white decks because of all your triggers. You turn on your catchup ramp and get three deep gnome terromancer and archaomancers map triggers. You can also use it to trigger smuggler's share to get a treasure. Also, if you're in black, it's funny with opposition agent.

I wanna watch the version of LOR where the hobbits are gready capitalist who keeps all the foods for themself and put everyone else in a position where they need to kill them. sauron included. Lets leave our infighting in the past those hobbits are out of control XD

How do people feel about lying in a game? I feel like it's distinctly different to bluffing. Especially when you are taking advantage of the way an online client works. This Isn't the first time Crim has done something like this, where he will make a big fuss about "making a mistake on MTGO" only for it to be part of plan to blow everyone out. I think when you actively go out of your way to portray a scheme as a mistake it is lying. Bluffing is like holding open mana, or threatening revenge against a player. It really irked me, maybe its just me.
its irksome because hes just so over-the-top about it and nobody believes him at this point. I dont think hes going against any social contract of the game but Id never play with someone who acts like that more than once.

@@alkhemia23 But like... being a control player is enough, people already view control players as villains (, I am one, so I'd know). I wouldn't want to play or watch someone who is lying or abusing the platform to pull ahead. It feels like bad etiquette.

I wanted to trigger Frodo first so I could start drawing cards and not commit as much to the board

Hmm, that's fair. I feel like with the other food synergies in the deck it benefits to have the extra food imo. But your line of thought isn't incorrect either. 🤙

MTGO accidentally coded the mana ability on the relic of Sauron as a regular ability (not a mana ability) which is why you can’t activate it while casting something and why it is placed on the stack when you do activate it (mana abilities don’t use the stack)

Would be awesome if you make a pseudo-archenemy round as a sequel someday for flavour reasons. Upgraded Sauron Deck as the arch enemy vs vanilla precons teaming up. Because it really seems like a major flavor fail when elves and humans battle each other, when they should actually team up against the dark lord.
...or a pseudo two-headed giant round with Saruman & Sauron vs Gandalf & Aragorn decks or so.

6:30 I believe that’s the tower Gandalf fights the belrog and smites him on the mountain top. They fight from the lowest parts of the mountain to the highest part.

I did read the Silmarillion Tomer, just so you know.
This is gonna sound like a humble brag, but I actually find it easier to get through than the LOTR trilogy because it’s written in such broad strokes so the plot really moves along at a fast clip.
I’ve read the Silm 3 times, I’ve only read the whole LOTR trilogy once.
Also the Silmarillion is just a great book. You get to read about Sauron getting mauled by a dog!
@@Graatand It took me longer to get through, but mostly because it isn't as focused and driven as a traditional story, since it is more a collection of various stories. I love the depth of the worldbuilding though. Not only did he flesh out a world for his stories, but the stories have backstories with backstories.

About the arcane signet art. It is a dwarven rune or it could be a human using the Dwarven rune as a sigil, as the humans adopted the dwarves' alphabet it some places. 1:02:39

First Tomer is the archenemy because of reasons (?) even though he is mana screwed, then afterwards he is the archenemy because he has a couple of weak creatures, then he is archenemy because he could (?) draw removal because there is removal in his deck lol, then afterwards he is archenemy because he got a little upset and now they have to kill him. Fun game for Tomer!
I rarely get annoyed during games but yeah I'd be really salty if they acted as if I was the archenemy in Tomers position. Seth literally said earlier that Tomer's deck had no real way to win lol, Richard and Crim always deflect too much.

It’s a “g” in the Cirth alphabet. I believe the card depicts Gandalf’s seal on the envelope in which Frodo kept the ring in the shire for a couple decades.

Seth was right, actually, kinda. The arcane signet contains the rune for 'G' used by Gandalf to mark Bilbo's door so Thorin and Co would know where to go in the Shire, back in The Hobbit.

We wanted to but the main set cards weren't available online when we recorded. Usually they would be ready but it took longer this time
