Soon Command Clash will outsource all the deckbuilding to Viewers, Fiverr, ChatGPT, and that guy that write budget lists on MTGGoldfish.
That guy !!
That Drakes guy!
Sounds like an idea for a chatgpt vs viewer vs fiverr vs that guy episode.
@@Posceceo Pretty sure that guy would win that, or lose first. There’s no inbetween
They should invite that budget commander guy to play on commander clash sometime.
Richard with the “This is what people imagine when you say ‘I’m playing birds’” had me rolling 😂
I'd like link to Richard's actual birds deck so I can compare the two
I swear Tomer is in witness protection or an international spy something. Every week he’s in a different location. lol
I think seth should make a short about the hide away lands and their creature counterparts, i love magic trivia and shorts on it. Id also reccomend a short on the land panoramas from old sets like kamigawa or scars block, or a video on the weird looking birds of magic because most dont look like real birds until recently
Creativity has been so high on the themes lately, this season has been one of the best!
Kozilek in a Bankbuster is like the tall guy in the tiny car from The Simpsons
"This is the largest car I could afford"
What an awkward situation to pull up to Kozilek at a stop light
Wouldn't Songbird's Blessing act similar to a tutor when you only have two other targets?
That how I use it in my deck, fetching up colossification or eldrazi conscription, and I was going to say as much. However, I checked the deck list and it only has spirit mantle, all that glitters and sticky fingers. The first two aren't awful hits but none of them are all that impressive nor to they progress the plan of the deck. At the very least, the deck should have had a Mantle of the Ancients to help recover Kaldra pieces.
@@SladeWestonI did the same thing, I thought it was going somewhere with Mantle’s protection from creatures but then it just went kinda meh
@@SladeWeston All That Glitters is a great hit even in a Kaldra deck but yeah, the other 2 are lackluster.
Songbirds Blessing is not a bad card if you have it and are only running a few auras, it basically tutors an aura onto the battlefield for you. So limiting the number of auras with this card basically turns it into a tutor that also pays the tutor'd aura's casting cost. That seems pretty strong to me
the issue is which auras are in the deck all that glitters is good, the other two are pretty meh to spend 4 mana for
You guys should do a podcast where you review viewer decks
Smart actually
Avacyn is templated like that so that it is a keyworded permanent in other zones. It's slightly stronger as written.
Yeah for example for something like soulflayer
It's because Indestructible used to be a characteristic and not an ability.
The first template was "Avacyn and permanents you control are indestructible"
"Richard, I'm going to have to hit you for 10 for pointing that out." 😆
I would love to see an episode where Tomer builds extreme budget decks ($30 or less) for all 4, but the others get to choose which one they want.
These games always end up being like 6 hours (I don’t mind) so they try to avoid it
It was Richard that played the Atogatog barren glory deck, he actually won the first game that week, Seth built all the decks, I don't remember exactly which episode but Timer was playing something Seth called The Pingening and Tom I think played an artifact deck where he had to animate them before attacking
the timer typo
There was truly only one line and Crim saw it. All hail the NICEatog.
On this week of "Punt or Bluff?" we've been outsourced! Will Richard's outsourcing company finally create the ultimate bird or will Crim's outsourcing company seep evil into everything (again?) ? Tune-in to find out!
I love how the Forbidden Orchard can stop Seth's Barren Glory by giving a spirit after he sacs his board
My back is _FINE_ Tomer, TYVM. Seth, do a short on the Lorwyn lands+creatures, it's a good idea for a short.
I dont know if im being stupid and I know it didnt get to that point., but doesnt forbidden orchard counter barren glory if activated in response to the upkeep trigger? Don't believe there was any mention of this possibility but im pretty sure that would work unless im missing something?
That would definitely work!
Rakdos: We're going to 7/11!
Megatog: Nice!
I will remember the crew that Richard already pulled the barren glory win with atogatog in season 4 episode 23, I think there's even a short about it
Would be cool to see an episode where everyone builds a deck using only cards that are a part of cycles like the titans, muses, primordials etc. I know green has a few that are banned but would be cool to see how balanced some of the cycles are in commander
Love the respect Rakdos got this week, it's my first and oldest commander deck and I had it simce return to Ravnica and he alwaus put in major work
There actually was a barren glory win, I think it was on a "Seth week" early on, and Richard piloted it. and it actually did win. Was one of the first episodes I watched from you guys XD
If it makes Seth feel better, he never could've won so long as that forbidden orchard was on the battlefield
Atogatog actually features 4 atogs that have cards.
Auratog
Chronatog
Foratog
And good 'ol atog himself.
Now that's a video worthy of a place beside the one Seth is not going to make about the Lorwyn Hideaway lands. 😉
Richard’s intro killed me lol. Need he say more about his signature tribe? Honestly he could have just said “Hi, I’m Richard,” and left it at that 😂
I want a commander deck that turns Rakdos into a vehicle to have WAR Gideon pilot it like what happened in the story
This is amazing! Crim putting eldrazi in cars makes my day
I think when crime builder heard rakdos vehicles, he thought the demon, not the color combo.
Tomer, Avacyn did originally say all your permanents were indestructible, they changed it to how it is now.
I THINK if you can find a precon at anywhere near MSRP, you can sell the top 3 cards to your local shop for store credit and add 10+ great new cards to your deck!
(I made "a killing" off of picking up Edgar Markov for😢😢 $50 CDN at Walmart. Immediately traded in Teferi's Protection and added a ton of great vampires to my deck plus a sweet playmat. Easy call for someone who never plays cEDH 😅)
The meanest thing Crim could have done was making Seth think he wins with Baren Glory but then using exotic orchard to give him a 1/1.
I would've loved to create some extreme flavour decks for the group. No random swords or filler cards. All on flavour would be my kind of jam!
Creative, fun, and most importantly for recent Commander Classh FAST!
MDFC's and landcyclers have really helped me increase the land count of my decks to a theoretical 40, while keeping the number of cards that are *only* a land down to 36 got fewer mid-game dead draws.
I just cut lands for mdfcs cause im so greedy haha
I run 34 lands including MDFCs. I'll take a slow first 3 turns, this ain't cEDH
@@EstimatedAdam Do you only play with folks who allow abundant free mulligans? I don't always, and I want my decks to consistently start doing things by turn 4 so that I can participate in every game. I find that fewer lands than my 36-40 take me do that consistently if I only get one free mulligan.
@@davidhansen5067 nah, I'm usually threatening a win by turn 6.
@@davidhansen5067 that def depends on the deck tho
Seth throwing shade at my boy Megatog; he was SO good in the preconstructed theme deck (against other preconstructed theme decks).
Edit: MEGATOG VINDICATED
45:51 penguin walks into room. Record stops
You guys should do a minimum budget deck, like all cards have to be 20$ or more. Would be interesting to see how powerful it actually is, along with the mana base
ironically it would just be battlecruiser magic if you didn't allow foils or expensive card treatments, there are hardly any one drops worth more than $20 but you would have all the busted fast mana and bombs.
I vaguely remember they did an episode a long time ago where they made the most expensive decks they could. There were all the usual suspects plus a few weird reserve list cards.
Seth actually goofed that last turn - by sacrificing his commander, he couldn’t possibly win with Barren Glory - he couldn’t have sacrificed both Lattice and Megatog.
Hey Goldfish Crew, how does one submit a user submitted deck for the next time you guys do that? Do you mention it the episode prior to it and leave all the relevant stuff in the discription? Thanks!
Yo Tomer!.you have it wrong, Songbirds blessing does the most work in a deck with few Auras, that way you always hit the best Aura. It's basically a 4 mana Eldrazi Conscription, or an overwhelming splendor
Oh man this game was really funny, the ending from Crim was real nice too ;)
I would watch a short on that Llowyn fun fact!
39:20 now we have Psychic Frog!
Oh course Richard the new dad hits with the going out for milk joke
"just going to 7/11 to get some milk") priceless :D
I love that even if Seth had been able to pull off the barren glory sac everything, Crim could have just floated a mana with forbidden orchard and still stopped it
i love watchin crim continue to put Don in his decks...
Hmmmm, one of these resource systems is not like the other….
Seth: "if we took commander players off the street, would this be how their decks look?"
Also Seth: *is running a deck with The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale*
Normally I wouldn't add it to the deck, but fiverr build it.
I think the enchantment tutor let Tommer stack his deck in anyway he wanted after he casts the adventure side of his commander. Pretty OP if thats what it was for, to bad he got it super early on.
People love Lorwyn. I am a young mtg player and only joined the game a year ago, but myself and every younger magic player I know favorite block is Lorwyn block. I would give anything to experience mtg when it was like Lorwyn.
My back is fine, thanks for asking Tomer ❤
Turbo decks in cEDH are still 24-26 lands, Atraxa is like 29 land
That's a very bad point, seeing as those also play mana crypt, mana vault, chrome mox and many other ways to ramp on mana while also playing a lower curve than the typical commander deck. A deck with the desired aim to cast multiple 4 cost artifacts without such fast mana should really be playing 35-37 lands
@@countjondi9672 Tomer was referring to cEDH decks 😊
depending how many colors depends how many lands 1 or 2 colors 35 lands 6 mana rocks, 3 colors or more 36 lands 8 mana rocks
Seth didn't play the atog atog barren glory deck it was a Christmas episode where Seth made Christmas decks for commander clash for everybody playing that year and one of the decks he made someone was that deck and I remember that person winning really quick pulling it off then tefferis protection to last until their then winning
Honestly it’s not that “cedh decks used to play 26 lands and now they run 33” if anything it’s more like “turbo decks trying to win turn 3 play 26 lands and midrange/control decks play more like 30 or so” it’s just that the meta is shifting more midrange right now. But the turbo decks are honestly running fewer lands than ever these days. There just aren’t as many turbo decks as there were a year or two ago
That was a NICE end to the game! lol
Clash crew meme on Metatog plan, meanwhile atog sitting on the pauper ban list because it kept eating all the permanents and yeeting itself at folks.
Nice guy seth not sacrificing his mycosynth lattice to stop as many of crim's permanents being artifacts for the content
My back hurts, thanks for asking! 😂
What was that sound? 21:45, winds of abandon? xD
What did Tomer say at 40:06?
It hurts, Tomer. Thank you for asking.
Petition to get Seth to enthusiastically proclaim "clash on" at the beginning of atleast one episode. Lol
16:50 I personally don't use EDHRec very much during deck building. I do not trust the masses. For instance, Swords vs Path in Tomer's hand
what do i have to do to get people to pay me to build edh decklists for them
Crim: 'we're going to 7/11!'
Richard: 'I'm gonna get some milk, I'll be right back...'
Tale as old as time
Why couldn't tomer cast the Kor with path of Ancestry at 38:03?
Tomer was primed to take an explosive turn, but he died to the fear people have to voltron decks.
Sad I missed this posting. Getting paid to have your deck on clash #dreamjob lol.
""Tomer's Ten Dollar Deck Teck"
Wait-lists apply
I think I know the exact place in Berlin that has the wires over the bratwurst place
I will never not care about Lorwyn, my back is fine (most times). Always thought those hideaway lands and their creature counter-parts were really cool.
My back hurts Tomer, but thanks for asking.
I guess Fiverr guys know how to make faster and more decent decks than the average decks normally used in this channel.
I would love to see my secret commander deck in action. I haven’t ordered yet. I’ll submit it!
It only has one creature in it 😂
Long live Crim the meme king!!
I’m literally building that bird commander right now 😂
13:26 I felt that 😢
So the reason my guess for why Avacyn has the keyword indestructible instead if just giving it is so that she has the keyword for things that care about that?
Can you respond to a Barren Glory trigger with Forbidden Orchard?
Could respond to an Atog eating the last permanent (itself?) instead I guess, fiverr saw the future and hard countered Seth, wowee.
Yeah, if an opponent has Forbidden Orchard they could fizzle Barren Glory by giving you a token at instant speed.
Can't believe the Gwaihir slander. I have half a mind to send you my Gwaihir "vigilance matters" deck, but I'm sure they don't want random decks posted in the comments
I can feel tomer getting frustrated 😂
Why didn't Seth sac Megatog in response to Mirage Mirror targeting it? Would've fizzled the ability.
Fun idea for a video every once in a while!
Good content 👍
Support the channel by commenting!
Think it would be hilarious to have a budget week but everyone else has to secretly outsource their deck lists to Tomer
Seth is so awesome with the would u like to pay the 1 he should get a t-shirt 👕 with logo on it 😂
My back hurts.
And I still love Lorwyn.
I never had problems running 33 lands
Can we get Richard's actual bird list, please? 🙂
SECRET LAIR commanders and theme
The Weeping angles shouldn't fly they are interdimensional beings in a statue.Flying for them would b very bad lore-wise since it be hard for them to stop moving if they were flying..
If only Seth had sacrificed the lattice when crim went to combat.
Why didn't Tomer equip the Warhammer and enchant his commander with all that glitters, he would have so much life
..i felt personally attacked. i love the art of lorwyn AND have random back pains lmao. and i'm 30
Minute 6 I am looking at Tomers hand and realize that path to exile is better than STP XD
I still care about Lorwyn, and my back has caused me some issues. But mostly because of being 2 meters tall rather than old age.
So like... what is fiverr?
Basically a site where you pay people about a fiver to do small jobs. Things like “Help me write a cover letter”, or “I need a thumbnail for my first RUclips video”. They also do longer or more comprehensive things like “Help me get better at League of Legends”, but those cost more.
A site where you can offer micro jobs to someone and pay them $5 to do so, hence the name.
It's a site where you can pay people $5 to do random jobs.
