I think since Sheoldred is the most played card in every available digital format, it should be called an Arena of Sheoldreds.

@@ryanbolson23siege rhino came out 9 years ago, very few people will know this reference. You would need to have both played back then, and also watched saffron olive. For example, I played siege rhino a bunch back, but didn’t watch olive.

It’s ok to make niche references, but if someone is going to, they have to accept that it’s niche or not say it at all in my opinion.

Alright, well results are in. I may be off 1 or 2 Sheoldred's but I got what I believe to be the correct count. 34 Sheoldred's were said during the intro alone. 250 Sheoldreds were said throughout the rest of the video which included : Sheoldred'd = 4 times, Sheoldreding = 2 times, Sheoldredie = 1 time and 2 times where he said most of Sheoldred's name but didn't finish it.....Hope that helps lol
I got 257 and though I may have missed some. I did not count different types but, I did count per each match

Based on the transcript I'm thinking 202 times, but it's not very reliable.
I strongly feel that Urabrask Heretic preator should be played more just due to that fact that it kinda turns off Shelodred. It gives card advantage without taking extra damage, and turns off their first draw meaning they cant just sit and gain life.
Also good in Rakdos with stuff like Hopeless Nightmare

Why would you run a 5-drop that dies to Sheoldred when you could instead just run Sheoldred?
The problem you run into is simply “Why not just play Sheoldred instead?”
Does it turn Sheoldred off? Yeah. But for 1 less mana you could instead play Sheoldred, get all of Sheoldred’s value, and as an added bonus… A Sheoldred on your side cancels out their Sheoldred (As every time they draw they gain 2 and lose 2, leaving a net 0 for each card drawn).
So not only does the card have insane value… It’s also one of the best counters to itself. Hence why it’s become so prominent

As sheoldred seems to be based on a centipede I would say a swarm. I also like pod and crush
Technically, sheoldred is just the womanly torso and head at the top. The big body is some huge beast she's commandeered, which is why she's looking a bit different after each planeswalk. I personally liked the original huge mouth one on Whispering One best, but this one is definitely something centipedeuos. Terrifying what skitters around dominaria.
Crush, because that's what happens to your opponent if you get more than 1 in to play at once.

It’s usually best of 3
It's most often best of three, but I've been playing more best of one when it fits the deck. In this case I didn't really want to sideboard because it would mean taking out Sheoldreds for non-Sheoldreds, so it seemed to work against the theme of the deck.
If I had a coin for each time agains the odds made a deck wich more than half the deck was made to copy a 4 mana 4/5 creature with black on its mana cost
I'd have at least 2 coins

I feel like this might work better with Ratadrabik and Blade of Shared Souls. Also, adding the MoM Sheoldred would be fun, because that's a Sheoldred that can get back many other Sheoldreds.

My board full of sheoldred deck used Vesuvan Duplimancy and a whole lot of single and 2 mana protection spells to crap out sheoldreds. Less reliable because it was made a couple a sets ago, but it was fun when it worked. My record was 12 sheoldreds on the field at once.

I've never been so excited for a video.
I've been doing something similar in jund colors with Huntman's Redemption and the like. So fun to see another take on an all Sheoldreds deck
amazed he did't have some form of forced card draw for opponents.
This is where howling mine would be a godsend.
But then you'd have to play Historic for Howling Mine. And if you're playing Howling Mine, you might as well play Bowmaster, and One Ring, and then you're not really Against the Odds anymore, you're just playing the same Historic deck everyone else is playing.
Howling Mine isn't a Sheoldred though

That's definitely an early scoop @8:54. It's not looking good by any stretch but could either beseech out a sheoldred or ludovic + candy grapple to take out the big druid with sheoldred on the way next turn (provided you topdeck another land).

i can't remember how, but i played against a deck in standard months ago where the opponent made token copies of sheoldred, so they had 3 sheoldred's on the battlefield at once. I lost that match
Sheoldred is definitely one of my most hated cards but since The End came out I haven’t really cared as much when I face someone playing them.
i bought a full play set of Mirror boxes and made a Angel deck. Mirror box is both awesome and busted. :)

Thats what I have been saying, Sheoldred's strength in standard is the Evoluted Sleeper and the Graveyard guy, sorry I don't know the english names. Thats usually what makes Sheoldred scary: Too much threats to kill
