    A whole new meaning for "artisan keycaps"!

    I definitely understand that you probably don’t have the machinery for mass production….but I would absolutely buy an entire set

      Good news, then! I have successfully tested manufacturing in clusters and will be offering ANSI/ISO sets soon!

      @@keymacs YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS oh man, I am so hyped. I've been drooling over your Alps keycaps since you first made them.
      I've always planned to buy one of your keyboards too (I think I mentioned this in another one of your videos), but I need to sell some of the ones I currently have lol.

    A custom space cadet-like keyboard is my dream kb. I just need to design it and then find the funds to make it, since it's probably gonna be a fully custom one of a kind type of thing...

    Ooo just saw these keycaps and I'm just wondering if you guys do the hyper 7 set of keycaps. It is exceeding rare to find people to make space cadet keycaps in with all of the keys. Also how much would it be, because boy do they look premium.

    • @keymacs
      @keymacs  Год назад

      I am considering to make a couple of experimental Cadet-style keysets. They will not be compatible with Hyper 7, because of Alps mounts and I would like to keep them as close to the original as possible (including stepped keys etc.). The price is hard to estimate but it will probably be very high since the full Cadet keycap set will probably take at least a full month to make.

      I will offer keycaps sets sooner or later. If you mean standard ANSI minus the numpad with a 7U spacebar, then it is good news-I plan to make bases for all the keys required.

    Have you seen the new iRocks switches?

    • @keymacs
      @keymacs  Год назад

      I know about them but have not tried so far. Actually, I am not a keyboard collector or anything, so my experience with MX-compatible switches is very limited. Can these be ordered loose or is it necessary to harvest them from keyboards?

    • @sir0herrbatka
      @sir0herrbatka Год назад

      @@keymacs iRocks are not MX-compatible i am afraid. They are also not alps-compatible either but the switch shell (and the internals) look very much like clicky simplified alps. I think that you have to get a keyboard and switches are not sold loose. Chyrosran22 is a well known alps fan and he has spoken very favorably about those, claiming that this is his favorite currently produced alps-like switch.

    • @keymacs
      @keymacs  Год назад

      @@sir0herrbatka But they do use the MX mount, right? The dimensions of the switch are not that important for me since I can adjust my keycaps practically to any switch.

    • @sir0herrbatka
      @sir0herrbatka Год назад

      @@keymacs Yes, iRocks use Cherry cross type of keycap mount, but have a different pins... I think.
