Im a 15 year old girl who was born into a christian family but its been kind of hard to stay focused on god and i would appreciate if someone would pray for me because i really want to stay on gods path but its been a bit difficult.

Alright you'll be on my mind when I'm going through my day :) I wish I had some strong words of encouragement but I've never been through your pain and if I tried to sympathize it would only be false sympathy. So I'll try something a little different.
I know what it feels like to be depressed. There were so many times in my life when I felt so far from God. I would ask him "Where are you? Don't you care about my problems? If so why is this happening?" I was searching so hard for an answer I failed to see the obvious answer.
The work of God is shown through so many things. The fact that your mom is still striving to keep you and your siblings on the right track is a blessing in itself. I'm sure it would be easier for your mom to give up on God but she is still trying to keep your family together.
If you have friends who still put a smile on your face that is another blessing that he has given.
He works in so many extravagant and mysterious ways and in these situations the best thing to remember is that sometimes there are situations where you really can't do anything. But that's totally fine because you need to remember that sometimes you need to let go of the wheel and let God take control. That's one of the best things about our God. He always has control and I mean ULTIMATE control.
It might seem easier to live a life without God but that's when you lose life's luster. It's beauty and extravagance disappears and all that's left is a boring cycle. When a life is lived in God's light EVERYTHING is more fulfilling. Your relationships are so much stronger and more satisfying. Your first time is so much more magical when done in accordance with God's plan. (This said with no experience but with many testimonies :) )
Anyway sorry for this long ass post. It could have been shorter but I didn't want to cut anything out. TLDR: God has total control over this situation and you don't need to stress over life's problems. A life lived through God will always be blessed.

When this song came out I was newly saved. I love this song! Now I’m in my 30s and a mom to soon to be 5 kids with a Christian husband. I was born into an abusive household but God turned my life into something beautiful for Him! ❤
This song was late for me as it was released at least ten years after the event... I was assaulted by a stranger in 2001 and it took me 7 years to realize I needed to forgive the man. I never saw his face but God put it on my heart one day and it's been a struggle ever since. Forgiveness is not a one time fix all. It takes time and perseverance. A lot of prayer.

Hi TobyMac I am 14 years old and my mom has grown me up in church and my Rebellion has kicked in and I have fallen so far from Christ, I didn't know what to do I have done so many bad things and I have been so rude to my parents and I heard this song and I'm not sure what happened but it brought me to tears cause it made me realize how disrespectful I have been and how my parents forgive me anyway because they love me, And it made me realize that we all mess up. Hey man, sometime it is hard to trust in God and believe he'll stay, because as humans we don't see him. But if you do put your trust in him he will never let you down. He's always there and he will never leave you, I promise. I've been struggling with temptation lately too but when ever I pray, read, and put my faith in God I overcome anything. Remember temptation is a tool of the devil, and Jesus defeated the devil 2016 years ago when he rose from the grave. I'll be praying for ya man and remember Jesus loves ya.

Many people think that they have to be a better person to serve God and walk in His path. But Jesus wants them as they are, so He can changes them. We don't have to be better to accept Jesus, He'll make us better through His forgiveness. The closer we get to God, the far we are from sin (because it'll feel like an offense to the One who love us most).

You will then be in fellowship with God, filled with the Holy Spirit.
No Christian is perfect, that is why he gave us the Holy spirit.

(1 John 1 : 9) You will then be in fellowship with God, filled with the Holy Spirit. Right from the moment you've named that sin, you have been forgive for it and so is your forgotten sins. :3

I think the first time the term Christian was used in the bible was acts 11. Before they were called "the way". They changed it because we are not the way, we represent the one who is the way. big-time, and I affected other people, but when I asked them for their forgiveness they all forgave me before I finished asking my question. God gave me a wonderful gift. Don't be afraid to ask forgiveness of someone in the family of God. because if they can't forgive you, then it's their problem, and they need to address it with God.

What an amazing song! We do all need forgiveness; white, black, what ever our skin color. God is color blind, what we call color blind. God loves everyone. God created everyone with a purpose. God has a plan for each person. But if we don't ask God to forgive us for our sins we can't walk in fellowship with him, and we won't be able to truly love our fellow man either. Thank God "you're, I'm not too far from forgiveness"! And as Jesus also said, "If you won't forgive others that have sinned against you, neither will you be forgiven." The quickest way to stop fellowship with God and others is to withhold forgiveness.

Remember, brothers and sisters, the converse to forgiveness. It does NOT mean you have to let them hurt you again. Nor does it mean everything will be "candy and ice cream" with others, do not know what phrase to use, I'm sure someone else has a better one, but the point is this: Forgiving is NOT allowing yourself to be a door mat and being forgiven does not mean everything is the same. Your music brings me a lot of peace and brings me hope. I went to your concert in Omaha Nebraska on March 5th. I just recently lost my father to "Suicide." My father struggled with addiction my whole life. You performed 21 years I didnt know that song was going to mentally preparing me for what was to come a little over a month later. My great grandpa was a wise person, he told me the principle that I still hold onto to this day, “Forget, Let go, and Let God” I know my great grandpa is in a good place, his principle taught me to forget about who has wronged your, let go of the past and to forgive others, and to Let God take care of it when you can’t. lucas van oosten Ask God to give you extra grace to surrender any sin to Him. Nothing is impossible with Him. And no sin is too big for Him. He loves you as much as He loves Apostle Peter, Paul and the great prophets and the early disciples in the Bible.
In 2015 I was on a suicidal path for a long time. I made plenty of mistakes, stumbled and fell hard and bridges were burned with many people. I messed up because I wanted no one to care so I could succeed in my plan. I remember when I first reached out for God in the two months in a mental health ward I cried and prayed but when it was done, I was relieved of SOO much pain. We all need forgiveness, and Thank you God because I got the saviors forgiveness that moment and later from other people.

It is hard not to worry.. I have an anxiety disorder its all i do... worry... stress.. I try to trust god but its so hard when I cant control my thoughts. Its a genetic thing so I've been told I will never get rid of it. And im ok with that. Cause the disorder helps me connect with others.

God is good, you may think to yourself that is not terrifying at all, well the thing is we are not good, we are evil sinners,our hearts are filled with darkness, we have broken the 10 commandments which is God's law by lying,stealing etc..so what does a good, Holy and Just God do with evil sinners like us? well He must punish us, just as a judge must punish a criminal, the judge must give him justice, so the just punishment is death then hell, but 2,000 years ago God the Son came to earth as a man in Jesus Christ to die on the cross in our place and on the third day He rose from the dead, it is like this we broke God's law Jesus paid our fine because He loves us,so repent of your sin and believe in Jesus today for your eternal salvation.

The divine dilemma is that God can't simply forgive us on a whim otherwise he would be unjust. Someone had to pay the price for our sins and, praise God, Jesus paid it all.

I can't let that crutch into my life again, as sincere as His love is for you He didn't reach me in time. I was literally touched by my father, and I still need therapy 19 years later
