This is a great tutorial video.
    Thank you.
However, i need an advice please; as living in the middle east, we do not have any kind of pole studios or even poles and i am crazy about poles although never seen in real...so i thought to make it happen to get one so i saved money and ordered one through ebay and i bought it after 11 months of waiting. Then i found out that "my grip isnt hapenning well" so i am very frustrated and even my skin hurts when i am trying to train on it.
It is an xpert xpole 50 mm stainless steel one.
    Please advice 😥

Hi Eman, there are probably two reasons why you are having difficulty with your grip on the pole. When purchasing an xpole, you probably would have noticed that they come in different finishes such as: stainless steel, brass, silicone etc. The pole finishing that you bought is one of the most slippery pole finishes, this means that you will probably have to buy products such as 'dry hands' to help you grip the pole. Putting shaving cream on your arms and legs before attempting moves on the pole can really help with grip too, and some people find hairspray effective too. Another reason you might be having difficulty is because the pole you bought is 50mm which is quite large (a lot of women particularly those with small hands find that these poles are too large in diameter for comfort). In Australia, a diameter of 31.8 is common. Oh and pain is a part of pole life ;) hehehe a lot of moves are painful, but don't worry, you'll get desensitized to it :) Best of luck with your pole

      Zina Addai ..hello dear,
It was very helpful reading your detailed explaination, so i have to thank you so much for all the clarification.
was like losing confidence because i workout like 6 to 7 days per week then when received the pole i couldnt get myself onto it which frustrates me!
I bought it through ebay and honestly did not notice there are different finishes + diameters and after reading your reply its difinitely both reasons why i cant get a good grip.
Am going also to try the shaving creme tip although i get too sweaty often so have no clue how its gonna work for me.
Oh and the pains occur when my skin is so sweaty then i dry myself well then get back; so i get something like skin burns!
Anyway.... seems i am stuck with an unsuitable pool 4 me but am gonna try to "make friends with her for now" .....pray 4 me.
      Bless your efforts dear 💋💋

just keep practicing, make the pole work for you, that's what you have for now. I didn't have a normal pole for several months so I worked out in calisthenics park (they have something similar to the pole) and even made video tutorials on my channel. You can check them out to help with your pole training! ruclips.net/p/PLEqwj9YMl3rwo_Ol5Nw_z7Gk-a7FpZoPD
Actually by working on bars and pole that they have for calisthenics there I improved my strength so much that when I work on normal pole I feel like I'm flying now haha

You may need to work on your grip too - try some grip training there are some brilliant videos on here. work on your grips trength and also buy some grip enhancer like liquid chalk: some better brands are: dry hands, mighty grip, itac, pole grip, total grip, hope this helps xx
