I wish these episodes were more like 30-45 minutes bc I love tony and the show but in an hour or more you can often just watch the film they are talking about.
I love how this video is just Newt and Tony gushing for Fred Olen Rey’s attention and spouting as much trivia as possible to impress him lol! you can really tell they look up to Fred. that being said, TONY LET THE MAN FINISH HIS SENTENCES!
Anyone else really curious as to how Ed Wood saved Newts life? I'd like to hear more about that story. I'm guessing the tale of a man who spent his life making b movies with his friends really spoke to newt.
Jean-Pierre Jeunet is a master filmmaker, the first time I watched Alien Resurrection I had no idea who he was; years later a friend showed me "City of lost children" and I fell in love with it so I started looking for all of his movies. Then, after revisiting Alien, I recognized several actors and his style.
I could listen to dudes talk about fun movies they've made, this guy is awesome. You have to have him back ASAP to talk about more of his flicks. The pyro guy story was such a great clip.
The newborn's death scene at the end was heart wrenching. The look it gave Ripley. Ripley's reaction to it....the gutteral screams.....poor girl. She just wanted to love her mommy and squish heads.
I love this and his stories of making the movie, especially that Pyro guy lol!🤣 I remember first seeing work Gordon as Luke Comstock on Andy Griffith! :D
I like how you learned your lesson from the Toy Story 2 video. The Thumbnail picture and the title does not even mention that you have a guest star, good call.
@@newtonwallen3210 Hell yeah - I'm a fan of Cyclone. Thanks for being an awesome individual Newt. Be nice to yourself; you are well loved by many. Stay weird.
I love Alien Resurrection. Aside from being the first alien movie I saw the theater, it had some great dark humor, a lot of my favorite character actors and a bunch of crazy alien effects.
It's definitely underrated. I like it much more than the hot pile of garbage that is Alien 3. I know that might be blasphemy in these comments section.
Fred addressing Tony in the same manner as Jerry would Newman on Seinfeld was a nice touch. Alien Resurrection is kinda like The Predator, it's ok, has its moments but isn't really up there with previous installments.
So I've been watching u guys sense the beginning and rental reviews. I'm curious about ur hardware. If anything the type of camera. If ur equipment link is already shared somewhere I'd love a link. Either way,, Hope you get back to me and love the shows.
I think this one will actually do really well, you all are starting to get your names out there more and more and you and tony and now crystal are the face of the show practically. With the new podcast coming from cinemassacre and maybe a tie In I really think you all will explode here relatively soon. Keep it up we all love it...well you and crystal....tony..tony is definitely on the show.
Ah La nave de los monstruos starring Mexican golden age of cinema star Eulalio González "Piporro". Also check out anything with El Santo and/or Blue Demon. Wrestlers fighting cheezy rubber monsters. Awesome.
I was surprised that Tony and Newt had decided to talk about underrated Alien movies and one of them was the topic of alienator. Tony: "My pick for underrated alien movies is Alien: Ressurection." Newt: "My pick for underrated alien movies is La Nave De Los Monstruos." Me: "My pick for underrated alien movies is Invasion of the Neptune men."
@@blakemaddox3681 I have that double feature dvd as well and the shout factory blu ray also. Invaders from Mars is 1 of the good remakes like "The Blob", "The Fly" and "The Thing".
I liked Prometheus and I liked the direction of alien covenant more so. Especially the body horror with the backbursters. Going to a planet without any helmets, o2 or breathing apparatus was kind of dumb even if they said this “new planet is exactly the same as the one we were traveling to.” The gothic horror aspect of alien covenant I really enjoyed
I just don’t like the concept of the prequel films. We didn’t need Scott to explain to us the origins of all the mysterious elements of the previous films. Not knowing was what made it good.
Seems like if you're making a sci-fi movie about a robot trying to catch a space criminal, that space criminal should be evil the whole way through instead of saving it up for a twist ending. Or give him amnesia, and when he turns evil at the end it's because his memory came back.
Hey Tony, I heard that Cinemassacre is launching a new podcast next month that is similar to that other show you were on… what was it called again? What does that mean for the future of Talking About Tapes?
Is there a Pateron tier were we can pay to see you two get yelled at in front of movie legends? Love the show and crew, just think that would entertaining still.
Liking Resurrection more than the prequels is wild in my personal view. Fans of franchises are crazy. They hyper focus on easily ignorable plot details and in world mechanics over imagery or themes. Beautifully shot borderline art films expanding the thematic mythos of a universe > anything written by Joss Whedon. I like Resurrection for what it is, I came around on it as a fun ride recently, but it’s hardly some hidden gem in the series. I can already anticipate the replies from goons saying “bbbut Prometheus sucks”.
This was a funny ass episode, I too find Alien Resurrection okay. I however liked the video game of that movie. Also if you guys like shlock movies review STAY ALIVE 2006. Since video games are for children Tony.
