- Nuts are a daily part of my diet. At least once a day, often more. They are one of my main sources of protein, while also covering the often overlooked yet crucial intake of healthy fats. They strengthen your immune system, your brain health and even your vision. If you don’t fancy just munching on them, turning nuts into a nut butter is a brilliant hack to increase your intake. Mix them into smoothies, cookie doughs or, frankly, just eat them by the spoonful.

I use a cheap chopper that the machine is on top of the bowl, and therefore the machine itself doesn't touch whatever it is inside the bowl.
And yes, I've been making peanut butter this way.

This is how i made my peanut butter. No oil/butter needed. The only catch the home made peanut butter will hardened over time and became dirt like consistency. I have no problem worh that, but it might be inconvenient for some.

They don't actually go off, they only dry out. So it can keep for weeks, even months :)

The method works, but you should take into consideration that rosting nuts will elevate the AGE levels very much. AGE's are bad for you brain health. Making nut butters without rosting is possible, but you will need a very strong food processor (I am in Europe and use a Magimixx - no affliation).

If you have a food processor, it’s much easier than with a blender
You do this with a hario coffee grinder. The manual ones.
