  • Welcome to Veecoco - The Vegan Online Cooking School.
    In this video, you will learn how to make your own delicious cashew butter at home.
    Cashew butter is incredibly tasty on bread, pancakes or to thicken sauces. You can also use 1-2 tbsp of your homemade cashew butter mixed with water in a blender, in order to make your own cashew milk.
    Luckily, it is super easy to make cashew butter at home. All you need is a blender and cashews.
    For optimal results, try roasting your cashews in the oven or in a pan beforehand.
    Another tip:
    Blend the cashews when they are still slightly warm, as this will help to make the blending process a lot easier, and you will have super smooth cashew butter.

    Cashews are considered drupes and are not true nuts. They are healthy and delicious in small quantities!!! Thank you for this no oil added recipe 😊

    A nice simple recipe Samuel, thank you Chef. My questions concern my love for Northern Indian food. Cashews make for a great addition to make a curry creamy. I would like to know 1) How long will this keep in the refrigerator? 2) Can this be frozen at all? Thank you, Chef,.

    Using a smaller blender helps to keep the nuts from sticking to the walls so quick.. found that out the hard way

      Thank you for watching.
      We have the Vitamix A3500.
      It took around 3-6 minutes to make this butter, depending on whether the seeds are still warm or already cooled down.

    Has anyone done this but sweet, as in peanut butter? Also, how does this fare at room temperatures (think Florida, Texas, etc.)?

    • @Veecoco
      @Veecoco  9 месяцев назад

      We've had it at room temperature for weeks without any issues.
      Haven't tried to make it sweet but that should not be an issue :)

      Correct, and sometimes, depending on the blender, you might have to add some oil as well.

    what do u think would work better (if there is any change at all):
    frozen cashews
    or slightly warmed (35°C) cashews
    ?

    • @Veecoco
      @Veecoco  2 года назад +2

      Thanks for your comment. We noticed that the blending is a lot easier and smoother with warm or slightly hot nuts.

    • @Veecoco
      @Veecoco  2 года назад +1

      Thanks for watching. Yes, you can definitely eat this alone in summer. It is very high in fat, though, just to keep it in mind. It's great with fresh vegetables as well to keep you feeling refreshed during summer.
