What I found most effective for beating silver coins was to spend your first lap focusing on getting a really strong lead. The game has no rubber banding so it lets you sacrifice some of that lead for the more out-the-way coins.
Not just the lead, but picking up some bananas on the first lap as well. Though I don't know just how much that would help with crunch's low acceleration.
I was so curious if you would stick this out because I remember crying at the adventure 2 frosty village coins challenge. Good work! Really enjoyed your videos
You know that coin that's just straight up behind a house in Frosty Village? The only reason I ever found that was during the post-race thing where the camera shows all the racers driving past random spots, and it happened to point at that coin. I don't know how i would've found it otherwise.
@ray0ken853 you can see me stuck on it on my Krunch playthrough yesterday. (DJ Cat Done Slow) I'm determined and keen to get back to it though. I just need to put it all together. Its Snowball Valley im not keen on.
I mean, the first challenge it's like "Yeah Krunch is bad but like c'mon, not _that_ bad that you can't beat Adventure mode with him." But Adventure Two? Yeah that's like, insane. An incredibly impressive feat when you consider a character with the worst handling and acceleration has to do some weird-ass manoeuvres to get some of those Silver Coins (and is probably losing a lot of speed as a result of those manoeuvres). Nicely done.
You are a DKR Master, I think I only ever beat Adventure 1 with Tiptup and Pipsy and could never beat Adventure 2 with them, most of it was finding all those silver coins. Great Video! Now you gotta play through Adventure 2 but with Krunch but with the cheat codes, TIMETOLOSE and BOGUSBANANAS turned on. These will make the CPU’s harder and make it to where Bananas slow you down instead of speed you up.
So I decided to try this myself after commenting and I will warn you, turning on these cheats is THE REAL DEAL! It has taken me multiple tries just to beat Ancient Lake and Fossil Canyon. This is like if you gave DKR Dark Souls difficulty. “Dark Souls Racing” Lol Also, you will have to type in the cheat codes every time you turn on the game since they don’t save after you turn the game off.

Krunch was only mildly less responsive than Pipsy on turns, and because I learned the top speed tap cheat his slow acceleration was nothing of note and I just learned to drift and sharpturn everywhere. No wonder everyone else with DKR at my school stared at me like I was a lunatic when I kept saying Krunch is pretty good, I accidentally ignored all his intended cons and just got to enjoy the pros.
I want you to know, watching you do Adventure 1 made me want to try it myself. I decided to try Adventure 2 after that. While Frosty Village and Snowball Valley took me nearly 10 tries each, the rest of the Adventure 2 playthrough felt easier, mostly because I'd finally gotten used to playing as Krunch. I also unlocked TT only using Krunch. That was surprisingly easy. But OH MY GOD Greenwood Village Silver Coins! That took me so long to get. I lost count of the tries. Also I'm glad you agree that it's easier to play Krunch in plane. I also found the hover craft easy. The car is definitely Krunch's worst vehicle.
