One of the tcrf/gigaleak editors here. You should have gone over some of the text only stuff. The early star locations and early translation are very interesting. Also oshin was not meant for the hmc gas, as oshin was supposed to be an unrelated nausea environment effect, the hmc gas uses the gas prefix on animations.

That older Wiggler model is notable for having its body segments modeled with actual 3D spheres. In the final version, only Wiggler's legs are 3D objects. The rest of his body is made of 2D circular spirites that create the illusion of 3D spheres. Most spherical objects in SM64 are actually just 2D sprites.
The sphere thing is pretty clever since a sphere is going to look the same from every angle so all they had to do is make sure the sphere sprite moves with the camera so you never see that it's flat.
So wait that trampoline thing would've been in the red cap stage right? I bet that means it would've acted as a level reset, letting you go high up in the air at the same height the level starts you at, having multiple chances to get those red coins, and if that's true then i would've loved that as a kid. Having to get those 8 red coins in one single attempt was so difficult for 4 year old me, and having multiple chances would've been amazing.
I actually never heard the theory that it would reset the player position, but that would be awesome. I could see Mario jump on the trampoline with the camera locking in place and mario flying of screen, only to transition to flying at the starting position.
I was wondering why you were so opposed to citing your sources when clearly using footage from Pannenkoek, but as other people have pointed out, this video is blatantly just reading the game’s TCRF article out, and adding in errors where you’re paraphrasing.

To be a bit more precise, the smoke texture at 38:34 (gameplay from Return to Yoshi's Island) has the correct format but has also been given scaling and transparency effects. If you were to simply change the format, the smoke would look like this but stay the same size the entire time it exists and disappear without an animation.
hey so, the cutting room floor's audio player has a glitch currently where playing a sound repeats the first bit of it before it plays normally.
