Pre facelift is great! The diesel is a great power plant. Maybe not the most “sporty” but it won’t ever die 😂 I seriously may consider a diesel for my next.
A 2011 will also be the engine you want - 2012 and newer have the turbo engines. The 2011 e550 with some upgrades like steering wheel, cluster, maybe updated infotainment has got to be the best modern Mercedes you can buy in this sector. Sounds intoxicating, lasts a lifetime and doesn’t ask for much outside of the manufactures needs. Good luck on the purchase! Thanks for watching!
I found them on AliExpress but can’t find them anymore - not sure why. They are by DEPO, a reputable aftermarket company for lights. I have a set of clears still as I swapped back to stock - maybe I should do a giveaway?

Thank you so much man! Appreciate you watching. Glad I could help - if you aren’t going higher performance I’d say the 14+ 350 or below is an incredible vehicle for the price
19x9.5 rear id go 285/30 and 19x8.5 front id go 255/35 This is the largest you can go with non AMG cars and therefore the largest sidewall on a 19” wheel
I test drove a couple w212 and noticed the pedal feel was vastly different than that of my bmw and lexus, it felt like there was resistance? hard to describe exactly but didnt feel as smooth as the bimmer and lexus. is that normal?
You can try a reset on the transmission - check out my shorts to find out how. Super easy. Also, in E without any coding to remove the pedal delay etc, E mode is very reserved. My 550 felt like something was wrong in E the first time I ever drove it until I realized how to drive it. Reset the tranny so it learns you, and get the pedal dampening coded out and you’ll love it.
Unlike its 90 degree predecessor with problematic balance shafts the M276 is *not* a 6 cylinder variant of the 8 cylinder with two less cylinders, it's a bespoke 60 degree V6.

Sure! You can check out more detail in my other video I mentioned - should be in the description! Xentry or Star Diag is what the dealers use. If you’re able to use it to scan, you’ll get pin point accurate information, troubleshooting instructions with diagrams, step by step confirmations within the program, and then a full parts catalogue that can tell you 1) Exact parts needed to repair 2) Exact dealer instructions, tools and methods required with images 3) Ability to adapt or program new modules or parts if needed. There are also things like calculated compression testing within the program, you can shut if individual injectors, view every single sensor value, and other values that are calculated. A lot of numbers are based on algorithms - not specific sensors themselves. They’re only viewable thru something like this. It’s an absolute MUST have and invaluable tool. Have a worry? Scan it. Dealer charges 300-400 for the same scan and print out. The only hardware you need is some sort of laptop with a basic 10 year old i5 , 200 gigs or so of storage for everything if you wanted it, and a specific USB OpenPort that I actually source and sell on my website because there are a million cheap, bad products. I try to filter out the good ones. www.machinedesigns.store Hit me on IG @KoreanSeats if you wanna chat
My favorite Mercedes cars are w124 facelift and w212 pre facelift. You mentioned that you like the look of facelift… I personally prefer your design better. Facelift looks somewhat woke to me. Boxy looks more boss. And interior, I like the pre facelift colors. I love that warm yellow hue in the car. I kinda dislike all those purple and pink weird colors. I guess I’m being a bit conservative but if I had to choose, I’d go for prefacelift model any day. I love cars that doesn’t look aerodynamic. I’m not into all that Tesla style curvy stuff. My favorite era of cars are the eighties and nineties and I think your car is a great modern vehicle that blends these fancy days with the modern times. One of the best looking cars in my opinion. I might like it even better than facelift w124 e500 which is a wild looking car with nice wheels and spacers. Or let’s say… they are equal. Other e class generations are quite random in my opinion. The 2005 year e class was somewhat cool though. Even though not compared to w124 and w212.
I completely agree. 124 and early 212 are my absolute favorite. Facelift 212 is def more modern and athletic but as I mention - looses its identity. Completely agree!
Thanks! And no, no spacers, the wheels are properly offset! However I do have a set of spacers that would work well with OEM wheels I am planning on giving away on this channel!
Color screen is dependent on year - depending on the year, when it was built and where it was sent for, you could have features staggered like that! Awesome!
2009-2011 for the m273 2014 is last year of USA 550 sedan / 4matic. 2015 in Canada 2016+ is the best version of the engine but only available in a coupe / vert RWD. This is the best styling IMO Facelift coupe. So in the states? 2011 e550
i currently have a 2015 Lexus GS350 F-Sport that i just bought at 80k miles for reliability. it’s awesome, but driving could be a bit better. Thinking might trade in for a 14-16 E350 down the line
If you have a GS350 - I don’t know I would really make the jump. They are super cool looking cars and I love them. But the potential issues go up with the m276 vs the basically none for that Camry based engine. If you are, maybe look for an e400 or CLS400 both basically the same car with different body and interior. Same frames and drivetrain. M276 twin turbo - maintenance and upkeep worth it due to the potential power with a slight tune. Fairly reliable as most inherent issues are taken care of by 2016. So ideally, jump to a 2016 as it has the revised m276 in the e350 and in the TTm276 in the 400 series. An email puts you at 500hp and over 525lb ft
@@mrapter7 i kinda wanted to go the NA E350 for reliability. as NA will always be more reliable than turbo. but like you said i’m debating keeping the GS350, as i really do like it and no matter what the maintenance would be cheaper than the merc. if i did get an e350 it would be ‘16. Just for apple carplay alone and the lane keep. Want panoramic sunroof too
Yeah if you’re getting an m276 the 16 will have basically all the major issues fixed and you should be worry free as long as you stick to the book maintenance. They’re great cars, built well. There are two schools of thought: Japanese generally build cars despite maintenance and you can really skip a lot and still have a reliable car The Germans build some of the best driving cars in the world, but they lean so heavily on doing the big and small maintenance. Trans service and mounts, flex discs in the driveline, and of course your normal engine maintenance. Just little things can lead to a really bad experience when added up all at once. I’m a hypochondriac with my car. I think it helps
