The E Class as number 1 and from those years is definitely right. I own a 2010 E Class since new. It has 234,000+ miles and counting. Has never left me on the side of the road. Zero oil leaks if you change the PCV cover every 120,000 miles or so. Not expensive at all. The repairs: A/C blower fan at 150,000. Rack and pinion at 184,000. I own a 2001 W210 E430 (171,000 miles) and a 2005 W211 E55 AMG (118,000 miles), rust free and 2-3 owners each with excellent maintenance histories on both when purchased. I am an experienced technician and I do all of my own maintenance, mods and repairs. I addressed the air ride issues on the E55 and went with an adjustable coil over since I am modding the car to around 600hp and needed something I could adjust when I want to take it to the track or ‘Mexico’… 😉👍 I would get in either car and drive them across the country but there is ALWAYS something minor that’s broken and there are ALWAYS check engine lights that pop on occasionally but most are very minor EGR codes that stay away for months and having an OBD2 plug in scanner and use Torque app is a must to avoid the panic to take it to someone whenever you get a random light. If you are even a little mechanically inclined these cars are rock simple to work on, especially the W210 models and my E430 V8 gets 26-27mpg regularly on highway trips and the E350 models of both body styles are just as tough and reliable, just a little less power and better gas mileage. I’ll never get rid of either of mine.

I like German cars, but I prefer to stay away from them.
Expencive supra apreciatet cars that broke often and are super expencive.
To compare a car from 1994 or 1998 with cars from 2021 in terms of rust takes serious "knowledge" 😂😂. Modern cars, no matter which brand are built on the lowest quality level ever in history of car manufacturing!
W124/126/140 rest is garbage

You are feeding people with bullsht...
Nonsense.
Mercedes .... Hell no.
S class is still the worst car ever . S550. is the ONLY car that will break down on you while parked in your garage . Yes it is that bad !
The wiring harness is still not fixed . I wonder what it will take for MB to finally address this catastrophic design. If you really must have a German car go with BMW . It is fixable and it drives ......while MB is being fixed
Stay away from MB or you will bleed .
Yes you will pay through your nose
Auto voice off putting 😅
How about telling us which new cars would be best and worst to buy. What good does it do us to tell about cars 10-15 yrs old . Joke
Don’t buy any of them !! Save that money invest money on property, land and houses !!!
I think you don't own a car you don't know how to drive. 😅
Can you drive any of those items?
And then treks all your life 😂
