Ultimate Range Krait Phantom | Elite Dangerous

This is what happens when you strip a ship down so much that it is basically just a frame shift drive with a commander seat. I managed to push a Krait Phantom to around 80.28Ly single jump range (~321Ly boosted) which is still not the longest jump ever recorded but potentially the longest jump ever recorded in a Krait Phantom and possibly the first ever recorded jump of a Krait Phantom over 320Ly. This jump can be beaten with some more min-maxing but I'll leave that to others ;)
**The build requires a special FSD that was given out during a community goal that ran from Nov 13- 16, 3306**

I wouldn't call that an "exploration" ship. It is just a JUMPER. Same reasons why people don't daily drive race cars. No SRV, no shield and weak thrusters are a "no go" in my book; plus if I am going around exploring places I don't need super-high jump range: I want to visit as many places as possible. But I give you credit for an amazing build, really well done!

Thanks! This is only supposed to be an experimental "one jump" build to see how far a Krait Phantom can actually make it in a single jump. Great job on the jump range I’ve never seen a mediumship travel that far come to think of it I don’t think I’ve seen a ship travel that far Great job . I do have a quick question did you get in the top 25% of both community goals or just one to get that frame shift drive???

Thanks! I got the FSD by finishing top 25% in the Thargoid killing portion of the community goal. I also finished top 50% in the trading missions to Spirit of Nysa but I only received the one FSD as a reward. FDev said that they would give out the FSD to the top 75% after the community goal had finished but I still only received the one unfortunately.

how did you get the extra optimal mass on coriolis? manually?

Yeah, you can either enter it manually or if you have your game linked to something EDSM or INARA you can get the whole build on coriolis as it appears in the game.

How did you get 80ly? Most I've ever seen is 74.
I'm also wondering how you got 90ly on ur conda

They are both using double engineered FSDs from community goal rewards. The benefit is that, in addition to the grade 5 Long Range modification, they also come with grade 5 Fast Boot Sequence which further increases the optimized mass of the FSD as a side effect. So you can end up squeezing a few more Lys out of an otherwise maxed out '1 jump wonder' build.

@@arturius9715 They do. It seems like every few months they'll have one CG with double engineered FSDs. The class of the FSD varies with each one so sometimes you may not see the class you're looking for. To my knowledge, from the time just before Odyssey released to now they have had at least 4 CGs with doubled engineered FSDs as rewards.
