In Search of the Limit | Longest Jump (365.19 Ly) in Elite Dangerous

- Since the emergence of a double engineered 6A FSD, the longstanding record for longest jump in ED history (337.32 Ly by CMDR MINI) could finally be surpassed. But by how far? In this video we investigate the new max jump range in a repurposed Anaconda known as the Navigator. Previously a deep space exploration vessel it underwent a massive transformation for the sole purpose of defining the new maximum jump range.

God damn my guy, well bloody done
This ship is basically an FSD with a Cockpit. You are sitting in an FSD xD
Lol pretty much
Ah, great, so let's take some notes, see if we can use this example..
"Has a FSD from a community goal"...
Ah... well that ended well.
365.19 Light Years in 13 seconds comes to 886,501,534.2 times the speed of light. Not bad.
Makes me curious of what wonders an engineer would do with a Majestic-Class FSD (The Fleet Carrier ones)
It would never be seen again. That's for sure...

No This Could be a spy who gets Information around or Very Important VIPs
I don't have the community event FSD module, but I have one of these built, with just a bit more fuel. I used to to get to colonia, and it came out to be about a 3 and a half hour trip.
same here man
They should have the animation longer if you jump further
Amazing video and build :)
Nice work!
Thank you :)
Now needs to be tested with a fully modded SCO drive.
2 years ago and still cool
Great job cmdr!!
Excellent. o7!
I thought the thumbnail was a diamond in space
congrats
Amazing. What music did you use btw?
The intro is from Elite Dangerous (I think the soundtrack while in supercruise). The other two songs I don't have the names for but they were on the free RUclips song list. It's been years since I downloaded those.
Whats the song? Pretty chill exploration tunes.
uberjumps and neutron clumps
Hmmm.... Im not the best with all of the ship modules in ED but given the modules needed, i think you could cram all of that into a python and save a few tons, idk if there's anything smaller that still fits all of the class 6 stuff needed.
A smaller fuel scoop needs less power, possibly allowing for a lighter power plant
In this instance, what I have on there is the lightest possible combination. You're not actually allowed to install a 1D powerplant on an Anaconda so 2D would be the next lightest. In terms of engineering, I overcharged it because it doesn't add to the mass of the ship and there are no other options of making it lighter outside of the stripped down experimental effect. For sure, I could have used a smaller fuel scoop but I wanted to big boy on there and had the materials for the powerplant engineer ready to go :)
Having the extra 5 LY truly won't matter if you can only jump 4 times and then have to take a 15 minute break to refuel, going back and fourth around the sun.
Sweet. But I have a few questions: is not there a single system with both a neutrons star and a scopable one in the entire bubble? And.. how does it handle the heat? I would like to see a few tests falling into different stars and see if it makes it out of there alive. I'm pretty sure there must be someone who does engineering to the heatsink launcher I don't know 😅
I only know of Jackson's Lighthouse for neutron stars in the bubble. There's definitely systems with neutron stars and scoopable stars but it would be a bit of a chore to try and track one down. As for the heat I couldn't really tell you, I pretty much only designed this thing to survive a single jump hahaha
no neutron stars are like rocking horse shit in the bubble..... all the way back from Colonia in 120 (ish jumps) then another 42 to get across the bubble ;)
@@windhover2021 spansh plots that route complete with fuel stops.. for us normal mortals with un engineered fsd's
Imagine going with Multiple Neuron Stars and never stop the Ride
Is it possible to stack an fsd injection on the top if this?
Cos that would be pretty damn cool
Unfortunately you cannot. The injection overrides the supercharge from the neutron star. Would be super fun if they stacked.
could you imagine? max fsd injection would double the range. your conda would jump 700ly. that's more than a carrier. no wonder fdev doesn't have it set up like that
I tried that with the FSD. Stuffed it. Worse than the original.
When Another Takes 2 Hours and You Just 10 Minutes to the Destination but you have to Manage the Things beforehand so it is perfect.
I would Still Go With A Bigger Tank maybe A small Cargo so you could buy High Priced things And Transport them Far where they are in great Demand.
Do you understand that apart from the longest jump you have also probably made the fastest speed ever achieved in any game/ simulator. If you travel from 6:23 to 6:37 from the video this makes roughly 14 seconds passage. As per my conversions your speed should be 888416494200000000 km/h or in other words 823,177,344.57489 c. 823 billion times the speed of light!!! Not bad!
Do it again.
Meehhhh 🤔im going to aim for the previous record of 84 LY and 337 LY with max boost but fully fit rescue limpits double afmu srv all that shit , i like a far more usefull build
Also couldnt get in 4d thrusters and i dont know really why it just doesnt work i still have to much mass even with an empty ship
how tho change the hud colors like yours?
I used this video. As of now it still works for me so the tutorial should still be valid. ruclips.net/video/3ulf1J7veGs/видео.html
Strange how ships always drop out of ftl near the star, when in frontier elite 2, they exited ftl at a random location in a star's system.

You need to turn your volume up dude, it sounds like someone's whispering to music so nobody can overhear them when you talk.
