The mother needs to kick her daughter out, and file a restraining order against both the daughter and her boyfriend. She could threaten to kick her out if she keeps seeing the boyfriend, but we all know that, short of death, the daughter is never going to willingly leave him, no matter the consequences. The mother and the puppy deserve better.

I got a 5 piece myself!
My husband also hit me when i was pregnant at 8mts . My 5year old son told my father the next day and he and my brother came straight away and my brother gave him one punch and told him if he ever lifts a hand to me again it wont just be one punch. He never did it again but the respect was lost for me and 3years later i left. Today my 3kids are amazing husbands and parents with good morals and self-control and empathetic human beings.
