Five of the 1800 is in use in Denmark 1805 (renumbered to 1831), 1807 (renumbered to 1832), 1812 (renumbered to 1833), 1814 (renumbered to 1833) and 1820 (renumbered to 1835) Two more is maybe on storage, or used as spare parts, 1816 and 1818. CFL Cargo Denmark uses our old Class My (1146) and two Mx (1023 and 1029) usually having one of the 1800's as help power :D
Yes , great sound indeed : D Yes sad news but the story doesn't really end up now.CFL 1800 (at least 1815 ,1817,1818 ) will stay in active duty until 1st of July then probably be sold and continue their lives on other tracks.The 1818 is also supposed to stay here and refurbished in order to keep pulling trains on special occasions as national monument.
Hi xx1817xx Ok very good news :) , I heard that 1815 and 1817 would probably be sold somewhere in Germany and remain active until the 1st of July.I also heard the opposite story saying that a 4th 1800 would be reactivated and be used in active duty in Luxemburg.But I think it is quiet hard to know what is going to happen in the following months , it also depends of the availability of the 1500 (and their technical failures ) .
Having lived in Luxembourg from 1982 to 1987, I clearly remember that sound!
