DISCLAIMER: I'm not calling Akira Toriyama a plagiarist, I just noticed how amusingly coincidental the two stories are.
Dragon Ball Z Kai and Dragon Ball Super are owned by Toei Animation and Akira Toriyama.
Sonic the Hedgehog is owned by Sega.
Honestly, When i played Sonic'06 and then i saw the DBS future ark, i didn't stop thinking about how similar they are...

@@QORXamq Elise is already a bad character, she does nothing but getting kidnapped all the time by Dr Eggman and she has some weird uncomfortable romantic feelings towards Sonic and he is just a blue speedy hedgehog to the point of kissing his dead corpse in order to bring him back to life with chaos emeralds, you’re telling me that an 8 years old girl did not cry for the past long 10 years after knowing that her dad sacrificed himself and died for her.. not a single tear.. just so Iblis would not get released and destroy the world

@@Persac7 I mean a lot of Sonic Characters are based on Dragon Ball characters, Sonic is based on Goku, Shadow is based on Vegeta, Knuckles is based on Piccolo, Neo Metal Sonic is based on Cell, ect.
The Doppelganger also uses an energy sword with his hand in both stories.
There is also a cringe and forced kiss scene to revive someone and ends up being awkward for the fans.(Dang, they even copied that😅)

Sonic 2006 story It's one of the best sonic game stories, It doesn't have 2D sections unlike most of modern sonic games, some characters were usefull unlike these days Where just Sonic matters and I really love mach speed sections It's not just boost to win. And Sonic 2006 does have an excuse of being a bad game (Even if most of the glitches are made by the player) since 1 It was rushed

For the most part i agree. The only time i don't enjoy sonic 06 is the silver desert level....never want to play that one again

Except in this case it's not really plagiarism
DBZ and Dragon Ball are absolutely filled with references. Goku's backstory is just superman, Goku's on screen story is journey to the west, Frankenstein's monster, Dracula, the mummy, and the terminator are all used as the basis characters (most of them multiple times), plenty of Alien references going all the way back to the Red Ribbon arc, there are multiple Bruce Lee parodies shown on screen.
Short story. My dad is a big dragon ball nerd, and once i showed him this video, it changed his point of view on sonic.

Yes dragon ball did copy somethings but some of the things in sonic 06 happened in the cell saga like the clones (cell jr) but yes they both have evil versions of the characters that they did copy but also its debatable because some people do say that mephiles is a rip off of turles but it's still debatable db and sonic basically copied from each other

When I originally saw Sonic 06's story, I thought it was just a knockoff of the android saga from DBZ. The Goku black arc is basically just a rehash of the android saga, so it makes sense that they'd be similar.

No wonder half the Future Trunks arc 2.0 story made no sense because they basically copied Sonic 06. But then again, nothing in Dragon Ball Super makes sense anymore and just throws away everything that its predecessors did. And Sonic 06 may have been bad due to a lot of bugs and glitches in the past but it still have potential and it can be fix now with all this advanced technology. The creators just need to stop being cowards and just remaster it.
