Thank you for that wonderful video, brings back nice memories. My dad owned one in the 1950's. The Howard was my first experience in flying in a smaller plane. My brother and I nicknamed it the "Jack Rabbit", you can guess why. I remember when dad did the first run-up with us at the end of the runway; my brother about age 6 looked at dad and said calmly but firmly, " I think I will get out now." I will share it was beautifully restored, Navy blue with yellow trim and a maroon leather interior. : ) Dad's plane ended up in Sweden on floats eventually. Thanks again for sharing that video. You all have a beautiful restoration thanks to a lot of hard work. Well done.

Many thanks for the trip down memory lane in the finest airplane ever built! My Pa rebuilt a couple of Howards that were not as together as yours was by a long shot, but he was a mechanic's mechanic for both auto's and aircraft, having been a stock car and motorcycle racer then airline mechanic, private pilot-- in a nutshell, he had acquired all the necessary skills needed for these kinds of projects. The Howard DGA ("Damn Good Airplane!") was our favorite! You sure have a real treasure there and beautifully done! One thing about this video I would change is the music. It would be even better without any. That ol' Pratt & Whitney's got a music all its' own whose growling roar makes my heart soar even just hearing it! Again, many thanks, Sir!

Isn't it though? Inside and out, it's a gem.

There's just nothing like the sound of radial engines. Check out Glenn Hancock's channel for videos of his Beech 18 if you haven't already.
