One of my all time favorites.
Wow, I wasn't expecting the gear to retract and extend that fast, either! Nice smooth flight in a beautiful, classic plane 👍
Glad you enjoyed it
What an absolute BEAUTIFUL Airplane!!!!
What a dream one of my all time favs!!
Fabulous! A timeless beauty...with a mirrored polished finish...unmatched by current day aviation standards...A Spartan? and how!
I just noticed that the roll down rear windows on the Spartan Mansion Trailer is the same as the rear windows on this Spartan Executive Aircraft
An absolutely beautiful airplane from the golden age of aviation. The design was so far ahead of aviation at the time, as mentioned at the end, that plane was produced when almost all aircraft were still wood and fabric, and compare it to another aircraft in production at the same time, the Ford TriMotor, the TriMotor was like the Model T of aviation, it was a primitive all metal airplane, and the Spartan Executive was almost like the space shuttle in comparison. The TriMotor did come out earlier, but was still in production in the 1930's at the same time as the Spartan.
Very cool! Somewhere I have a picture of my grandfather with his Spartan Executive, NC17616 if I recall. So this flight video is awesome to see what it must have been like for him to fly. Thank you!!
Very cool!
Finally getting to watch this video... The Spartan is one of my all time favorite family/cross country aircraft. If I ever have that kind of money, the Spartan would be towards the top of my list.
The Spartan has always been on my short list of "If I had a Million Dollars" airplanes. Great seeing Scott giving you a ride!
I often see a video pop up as I'm about to leave and make a note to watch it later. When the title said Spartan Executive, I decided that nobody would mind if I was a few minutes late getting out the door. It's a beautiful old plane, built in the heyday of American aviation and under Scott's care I wouldn't be surprised if she flew on her centennial birthday. Next time you've got a flight like that, I'll make time to come along if you'll let me; health issues can wait. You've got my number, if you don't tell Pace I told him to give it to you.
Scott thanks for sharing this classic with us! Eric thank you for you great videography!! Please keep this partnership up, it benefit's us all!!!
Exceptionally nice video that would have been a great marketing tool in the late 1930's. I think the value of Spartan Executives just clicked up a notch or two.
Awesome airplane! Hello from Tulsa, birthplace of the Spartan! :-D
What a great looking airplane love that aluminum finish.
Great video Erik! Thanks for taking us on the ride.
Taking Off
Very welcome Daniel! Glad you liked it buddy!!
One of my classic favorites. I saved several on Pinterest. Thanks for the ride along.
What a gorgeous, timeless airplane. Great early morning airplane fantasy. Thanks.
Fantastic old bird - was so far ahead of its time and very luxurous.
Beautiful Airplane. Love the roll up window. I'd take that over a new C-182 any day.
Absolutely fantastic aircraft beautiful flight many thanks ,Awesome Erik 👍👍👍👍
Tulsa indeed. There was an Executive in the hangar when I went to Spartan A&P school in 1964-65. Whatever the cutoff date was for producing gorgeous airplanes, the Exec slipped in under the wire.
It was there in 68 and Herschel Augsberger was the pilot. I think Elmo Maurer flew it also. Both were my flight instructors. I got to be in it.😎👍
The Spartan is one of my top 5 ❤️
Great video. Thanks for doing this. Loved those polished airplanes.
What a lovely airplane.
Nice and beautiful Plane. Almost Flying specs like the Piper Commanche. Sad no pics of the cockpit!!!
Great Airplane. The Spartan. Always a favorite at Oshkosh
love your videos, but some dash shots would be awesome
My God. What a great video. Thank you
Exquisite!
Man, what a beautiful Plane
That was a fun ride!
Thanks for posting !
What a beautiful aircraft...WOW!
Erik: I am new here and simply LOVE your channel
I like the name, its like a confusing play on words. With a name like Spartan which could mean bare or not a lot of luxury and then you add Executive which is the opposite. Gorgeous bird
They don’t make them like this anymore 😢
What a great bird!
Beautiful Tulsa bird.
Beautiful airplane.
Enjoyed the flight
That thing is as beautiful as a stagger wing .
Amazing bird
yeah man eagles are making a strong come back. i've seen them in seattle !
Center flap? Assume more for drag than lift.

Sorry, i dont understand, what is the weak point of this Plane?
Great video showing the Art Deco Flying art that the Spartan 7W is! FlyToAnotherTime.com is my site listing the surviving Spartan Executives.
If Scott were to ah, er , disappear, could I have his job? Just asking.
