- Aviation photographer Philipp Brinzing came to the Mid America Flight Museum all the way from Germany to do an article on the Museum and the Grumman Albatross. It was a real pleasure to have Philipp enjoy the Albatross with us and we look forward to seeing him again soon!! You all are going to love his photos of the Albatross that should publish in December in the magazine Klassiker.
The Albatross is the world's most expensive RV, and worth every damned penny if you can afford it. We need to start producing flying boats again.
Awesome! Thanks for taking us along for the ride! Thanks for covering one of my favorite flying boats.
Приятно было провести время, очень хороший полёт! ❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊
Way too cool! I would love to have this aircraft. Take around the world flight but a dream. Thanks guys appreciate it.
Keeping an Albatross airworthy...expensive!
Jumping off an Albatross wing into an East Texas lake at sunset...priceless!

Wow, that ending science, with swimmig in the sunset off a historic amphibian, one of the best I've ever seen. Thanks for uploading!
I don't know anyone who can scratch that off their bucket list. Great flying! Perfect coordination! Perfect weather! Awesome footages! ... and huge fun. As an aviation photographer myself, I was left amazed... and a huge grin on my face. Well done guys. Great video!!!!
Loved doing water ops when I was flying in Goats in the Coast Guard....and JATO takeoffs were a rush!
That was both very beautiful and very interesting! Great to see the cockpit work there.
Keep on swimming!

..
That's a nice shiny oil/fuel slick you guys are swimming in.
Nice, love the aileron action on the break, reminds me of the 180 movement on the yoke of the B25. I see Scott is "having fun".
A great video. Thank you.
Well done.
We were on the lake on aug 3-5 and I took photos and video of this plane.. we were on the lake with our grandson. He thought it was cool to see a plane land on the lake so close to us.
Donna Dilbeck Come out to the airport sometime and tour the Mid America Flight Museum. That's where we keep the Albatross.
ErikJohnston next time we are over that way we will have to do that.
Heaven.
Did/does the Albatross have auto pilot?
Typically not
