Talk about flashback/goosebumps....I ew radio on the Albatross from 2/64 to 8/66 flying out of Naha, Okinawa...and life was good!! Great film. Thanks for the 50+ years trip to the past.
Great stuff Eric....a long time ago my partner Denise did some very similar stuff with Connie Edwards and his HU-16 down at Breckenridge, and out on Hubbard reservoir....hafta share those pics with you on FB!
I am impressed how well the helicopter positioned himself to keep out of each others wake turbulence while getting the great shots.
wow another really great video. i always liked the sea planes best. just fantastic to se these two airchraft together.
Flying an albatross is a serious bucket list item for me. At this point I'd take riding in one! Dream airplane like you wouldn't believe.

That’s amazing!! I never saw that. Great catch
that bird turned to dust, good luck it didn't go into the canopy
albatross killed a seagull
So that’s where that dent came from!
I thought I saw it and slowed down the video to 1/4 speed to confirm. Hard to believe it hit.
My husband flew these in the Navy, off of Guam, during Vietnam. JATO take offs were interesting.
