In 1967 I received my Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) FAA license after attending Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, Okla. Since then I obtained a Commercial Instrument Pilot license plus worked as a USAF and FAA Air Traffic Controller. As you can imagine, I love aviation but the Spartan Executive has always been my favorite airplane. Just a beautiful design.
Gorgeous airplane! I'd be afraid to breathe on it, which means all of my coworkers would ask me to do everything for it because they're afraid to breathe anywhere near it. It is an aeronautical masterpiece.
Spectacular airplane! I've been lucky to have flown or flown in five different Spartans. Although all were great, I really enjoyed S/N 2 now on display in Oshkosh at the EAA Museum. Sure miss those days. Enjoy your glorious gleaming beauty.
A friend of mine who served in World War II and Korea is a Navy pilot and prototype trainer who did the horizontal and airspeed indicator turned me on to this aircraft and I wanted to see if it was possible to give him a ride on one of these he just turned 100 this year and he wrote the book for the Topgun flight school when he started flying they were doing by planned when he stopped flying he was fine jets. I thought it would be a great thing for him to get an a pilot seat again or get in an airplane since they pulled his license when he turned 99
And what about engine swap: a Wright-Cyclone R- 1820 with 1300 hp? If I'm not mistaken, the measurements more or less correspond to the original: they both have 9 cylinders.
@@ErikJohnston Thank you! I bought that Zurich Shield crap from the dealer when I bought my new Lincoln MKZ and for half that price I ordered the John's360 Pro Bundle. At $249.95, it is not cheap but it has everything I need and want for the next 2+ years which means it is definitely cost effective and will actually protect my car's finish. With guaranteed happiness or my money back, I cannot wait to try it out. Note: I refuse to buy that garbage advertised before and during RUclips videos. Those are just "gimmicky" products that will not work as advertised (as my neighbor found out). Hint - When the same "amazing" product is sold under several different names, it's a good bet that you will be disappointed.
John Cashwell I hope you like the Johns 360. We have had a lot of great results with our aircraft at the museum. Just be sure to have the surface prepped exactly like you want it to stay.
Ih you're into old cars, that's cute. I am fixing to sell 3 oh my vehicles to fund a kitfox build. Who knows if it will happen how I think, but I am going to try. I want a Van's rv also for a long range bird.

One of the most beautiful airplanes ever made.
The Spartan Executive is what kid's dreams are made of! Thanks.
The hours of elbow grease put in to polishing that exterior to a mirror shine were well worth it!
Another great aircraft!!! Such a rich history behind it.

Magnificent airplane with a fascinating history. Would love one day to see one for real.
What a classic airplane!!
Stunning aircraft.
Wonderful video of a gorgeous airplane, Thank You.
An absoultely beautiful airplane. Look how far aviation advanced within three decades of the Wright Brothers!
Another great walk around I had to go have a 3rd listen to.
A beautiful aircraft that was cutting edge technology for it’s time. Thanks for the review !
What a beautiful plane! Mr. Pat Hartness that owned Triple Tree Aerodrome has a Spartan Executive.
